I love this store employees are great, hell of a lot better than Kroger. Here's the complaints I have. I used to buy spray pam butter, then they changed it to something like hairspray, so I changed to Publix spray butter, and it was fantastic. I went back to get another can and Publix changed it to something like hairspray, and it is even worse than spray pan. It is a nonstick spray, but everything sticks, nothing like butter at all and it sprays so wide now it goes everywhere. please go back to original formula. 2nd complaint UNOs Stromboli's need to be pulled of the shelf. The biggest waste of money. you can't even cut these things with a knife; no sauce so dry you can't swallow them. your just paying for bread you can't cut. read more

This review is for the Publix Deli at the Spring Hill location. The supermarket itself is great, just like any other Publix location. I ordered the Boar's Head Italian sub since it was on special. They were a little busy making orders and taking care of other customers. William greeted me immediately, and let me know they would be with me as soon as they were finished with the orders. Jonny finished with his customer, cleaned the counter and took care of my sandwich order. He made it quickly with all my requested ingredients, and I was on my way in no time. I grabbed a small box of cannoli from the bakery on my way out. I decided to sit outside at one of the picnic tables in front of the store and enjoyed my lunch while watching the customers come and go. The area was clean and comfortable. My sandwich was wonderful and a great value with fresh bread and plenty of meat and cheese. The cannoli from the bakery were nice as well. read more

Convenient location, but a bit of a weird setup. Most Publix stores that I have seen are setup up similarly so this one always throws me off for a moment due to it not really having the same layout. It is a bit frustrating as nothing is where you think it would be located. Also, every time I am in this location I see them throwing away tons of food from produce and bakery. Don't we have enough organizations to where that should not be done? The answer is yes!!! Next gen is an organization that would even come pick it up that day just to keep it out of trash cans. Nothing frustrates me more than being wasteful for no reason. Do better Publix. read more

Went there today and it seems like staff is going down hill. Saw a lady transfer fried chicken from one side of the deli counter to the other side with her hands. They other young lady who handed me the baked fries told there would be no more and it was only eleven thirty am and gave them to me while walking away zero eye contact. The deli always seems lost like the customers are invisible. You should put a bell so we can ring it and catch the zombie like assistance. There's one lady I used to see name Betsy or Betty with glasses who was very pleasant. The only pleasant people left are in the bakery dept. Such a turn over of staff in just one year. Maybe it's a management thing not necessarily being a good motivator. read more

It may not be the biggest supermarket around, but it's sure the friendliest. And it seems genuinely happy. Maybe a little less happy these COVID days, but it's still a nice place to shop. My favorite time to go in is right after opening. Then it's like your own episode of The Truman Show. Everyone says, "Good morning" and you feel like you're the mayor or something. My wife likes to get only the amount of meat she needs, so she's always asking the butcher to break packages - and they never get upset. That's true throughout the store. TIP: Get the Publix App and you can pay at the register without touching anything. Plus you'll know exactly what you ordered and what you paid without having to squint at a tiny receipt. read more

Wonderful store. Wonderful employees. Outstanding produce. Straight up the single best meat selection ever (like who carries Prime beef...seriously...no one but Publix, that's who). Outstanding fish and seafood counter. Lots of organic stuff. Their deli is pretty amazing, too. The people who work there are all absolutely delightful. That being said, the mask requirements for their workers has got to go. Given the information that has come out in the past week, not to mention the notice on the box of paper masks that the masks do not protect against Covid, and given the fact that the average age of a Covid related death is well past the median age in this country, I find it reprehensible that Publix continues to virtue signal to the Karens and Kyles of the world by forcing their employees to wear Petri dishes on their face unless they acquiesce to an experimental shot (I would say "vaccine", but it isn't really a vaccine at all) that has no medical history whatsoever. I guess they're doing the corporate thing, but rarely is the corporate thing the right thing. So having tolerated this nonsense for the last year, I'm completely over seeing masks on all of these young people. Get a grip, Publix. Stop the abuse of your greatest asset - your employees. I'll be ordering groceries online for a bit unless and until one of the stores around here gets it together. I came in with a vision for a cake and they made it happen in 24 hours. I was very happy with it, and all the parents were freaking out over how gorgeous it was! I'm including a picture, but ignore the stars, sprinkles, and edible glitter. I asked them to airbrush a blank galaxy, that I was going to add my own stuff afterwards. Half gallon whole milk from here spoils several days before expiration date. This has happened at least three times post pandemic. I've returned two milks and explained to Customer Service that I think the wrong expiration dates are being stamped on the milk because it spoils up to week before the expiration date. Customer service stated that the store has not had anyone return milk. I was skeptical and suggested that for less than $3; it may not be worth finding the receipt and bringing back a half gallon of milk to some people. She then said that the expiration date is only good prior to opening the milk, which was perplexing. This expiration date issue was not happening pre pandemic or even during the pandemic, if I recall. I decided that I will not buy dairy from this Publix any longer. I now buy milk, eggs, other dairy and fruit from Fresh Market in Brentwood and there have been no expiration date issues. The milk stays fresh the length of time it is supposed to and we enjoy the whole fresh 1/2 gallon prior to the expiration date, no issues. I am convinced that Publix sells nearly expired half gallon whole milk and stamps an incorrect expiration date on them. Customer Service on both return milk visits did not appear interested in looking into it, making me feel as though they are aware that this is the practice. read more

I like Publix. Really like it... for a grocery store. Before the Kroger Marketplace opened... this was my go to supermarket. From their nicely laid out and clean looking store to their amazing Italian bread in the bakery to the convenience of a US Bank to their expertly cut Prosciutto in their deli (the only place in Spring Hill who cuts it correctly, by the way) to their friendly checkers.... Publix is pretty great (I'm actually wondering why I stopped shopping there... hmmm!!!!). The are more expensive than Kroger... but I've never purchased anything that was even remotely out of date. Freshness is king, much like cleanliness seems to be at this store. I love their pre-packaged, fresh foods... take home & cook (roasts, burgers, pork chops, meatballs, etc...) and they have the freshest meat in town! Though I have requested it time and time again... Kroger NEVER has skirt steak in and it's a MUST for fajitas, carne asada and it actually is great for Philly cheesesteaks (I made them tonight... total WIN). PUBLIX always has my skirt steaks and virtually every other cut of meat I could want! It might not be as fancy or as big as "the new Kroger", but it's still pretty awesome. Coupled with the fact it shares a parking lot with the wine/liquor store that carries the best selection in Spring Hill... it's a one stop shop! After considering this review and writing it... I think I'm going back to Publix. I really do love it! read more

I always enjoy shopping at this Publix. The employees are always friendly and ready to help. While the prices tend to be a bit pricier than the Walmart next door, the overall experience is a world apart. Publix employees tend to make a career whereas the same cannot be said for many other grocery stores. This means the staff is much more likely to be committed to their jobs and the customers. As others have mentioned before, Publix truly values their customers. read more

My husband thought the chicken was just overly seasoned. After taking a bite of our dinner, we quickly realized we were eating pork. And we don't eat pork... we love the size of this store, but with any large supermarket, always check, check, and double check ingredients. And even then, labels can be wrong :( read more

Deli/Kitchen Manager was extremely rude to my husband when he went back to return our "fully cooked" cold turkey that they falsely advertised with a huge picture of a beautiful, warm turkey that is ready to eat. We will NEVER be going to this publix again, and neither will the guests we had over who were expecting an actually fully cooked warm turkey. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. What can I say I absolutely love this Publix. All of the staff are extremely friendly and willing to help you. A few weeks ago I went in Kroger just to get a few things and passed several employees and not one said anything to me. It just reminded me why I do not do my major shopping there. This Publix store is always clean and staff willing to go out of their way to help you. People say Publix's is expensive compared to other stores well you just have watch for the deals and personally I have no problem paying a little more for the excellent customer service and knowing their employees are treated right compared to WalMart which I refuse to step a foot in that store. I shop at Publix because the store (s) are always clean and the employees always speak and smile at you. This may not be important for some, but it is to me. I used to shop at Kroger and continue to get med's there, but the actual store is not very appealing. The machines in the deli are sometime caked with old meat that has been sliced and many times, the frozen items look as though a tornado just zoomed through. Hardly any of the employees smile, speak or ask if they can help you find anything. Most of the time I have to ask for help carrying groceries to the car and at Publix they always ask (and smile!). I do believe the problem is with management because the manager usually sets the atmosphere of the store and I find the Krogers in this area totally failing. I am very surprised to be writing this review and I know we all have off days. But I was so embarrassed and never had to apologize for anything from Publix Bakery before, but this time was bad. I ordered a birthday cake with Looney Tunes theme. I didn't realize until I got home because I was in such a hurry that the decoration on top was all broken. I figured someone dropped it or pushed down on it too hard. Then I thought I would try a new filling, cannoli. Well when we cut into the cake no one could see or taste any filling. It just looked like a skim coat of icing. I had to apologize so much I have never been so embarrassed about a Publix cake. At least the cake was fresh. read more
