I've always gone to this Kroger - it's my favorite of the two that we have in Spring Hill. That's why I am giving in the 4 stars that I am. I do, however, have to knock off one star due to some confusion about a sign that I recently saw in the store. It was a rather large advertisement poster for Kraft Macaroni. Now, I am quite an avid consumer of Kraft Macaroni, so I'm not sure who to take up about this issue that I have. Kroger has the add, and I'm not sure where to ask Kraft themselves, so here I am. The poster said "with white bean" on it, right in the middle of the box of macaroni. Now, I am just a tad confused as to what this means. Are the macaroni noodles also mixed with white bean now? Are the noodles only made of white bean? Are there white beans in the box? There are endless possibilities, and I just wanted to voice my concern for this advertisement. I know that this is not a direct reflection of Kroger as a whole, but I just need them to realize that I can't just have random words thrown onto a box that I always have in my cupboards at home. I came here to pick up some things when I first got to town for my sisters bachelorette party. We ended up getting a ridiculous amount of cheese. The selection was great. So was the alcohol selection. Staff was so sweet and helpful. Especially at check out. I wish I could remember their names. They were so nice and made the shopping experience that much better. read more

This is one of the worst Kroger pharmacies in the city, sat at the drive-through for 15 minutes at the window with nobody at the window two people inside boxes all over the floor and they kept saying we'll be with you in a minute. This is a larger Kroger. It has a portion of clothing and home goods that take up one side of the store. I can't speak to either of these as I have never shopped for anything but groceries here. As far as groceries are concerned, they normally have a decent selection to choose from. My only complaint is that the produce section is always rather picked through and sparse when I am there. read more

Love my Kroger so much. Been coming here since 2018! They are clean and have everything I need! My only recent concern is the elimination of real people checking me out. I understand using self check out for small items is quick and easy!! but when I have a whole cart it seems to mis ring 1/2 my items. Then I have to wait for the 1 person they've hired to help me and everyone else with their computer errors. Doesn't seem fair to the employees and certainly frustrating for customers! Hate that businesses are replacing humans for computers! If it gets worse we are in trouble and I will definitely revisit my review! read more

They lock all the entrances an hour before they close so people think they're closed earlier than they actually close. Super lame. You're paid to work until the store closes. read more

This is what you can expect from the produce Dept at this Kroger. I stopped ordering from their click it service because of their substitutions always costing me a lot more than the original product and I even stopped ordering from them. Because Walmart gives you free pick up. I tried them back after they were doing free pick up for a short time and made the mistake of continuing it in to this year. As you can see today is the fourth the sell-by date on the salad is the sixth and it's already bad! UGH! read more

Ok, I have never been this person but here I am... I have been coming to this Kroger since I was like 22.. I am now 29... I come in tonight at 8:35? And automatically had every Kroger employee stare at me annoyed... I work long hours so my grocery shopping is late & they close at 11 right? Ya well they made me go to self check out.. as they turn off half the lights at 8:35... and then I hear this Employee scream " lock the doors lock the doors!" I was a bit confused and to be honest triggered and scared because they said it then looked at me? And I go " Since when do y'all close this early? I truly love all the variety of the Kroger on Port Royal... however today another customer and I waited over 5 minutes at the deli.... we were trying to get the attention of other employees to go back to the back and let them know we were waiting and waiting.... finally the Chinese man walked back there and a white girl and a black girl came out... I told the white girl we had been waiting a while.. She then raised her voice and told me that there were only three roasted chicken on display and she had to make more and she was busy.. her attitude was very salty and to her it didn't matter that she had two customers waiting for 5 or more minutes.. I did expect an apology.. I realize that this Kroger does not have enough people to help customers.. any time I ask an employee for help, they either do not know where the item is , or they can't help. great store with a lot of things , but customer service is not apart of this store.. I complained to Mike the manager and he said also to me he has sooooo much work to do. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. I would highly recommend going to literally any other pharmacy in the world. The pharmacists and assistants here are the most rude, inconsiderate, and incompetent people that I've ever encountered. After waiting patiently in line behind other vehicles, I arrived at the window to pick up my prescriptions. I let the employee know that the prices on my prescriptions were incorrect because my Kroger Prescription savings club hadn't been applied. I had to give her all of my card information from my phone again (she asked to handle my phone in the midst of a pandemic, which I obviously declined). She then said their system wasn't finding me and asked if my membership was active. I read her the effective date and the next payment date (not until 2021) and she went to ask the pharmacist a question. I was then told that I need to call the savings club and come back. I needed my prescription and had already been waiting quite a while with my poor 3 month old son crying in the backseat. I asked to simply use the GoodRx prices, which I also had on my phone. The women tried to get me to go to the back of the line. I declined and showed her the price of the first prescription on GoodRx. Then the pharmacist popped up again and made her tell me to go to the back of the line again as I was pulling up the price for the second. So I was denied service even though I presented 2 different methods for them to fix the price of the medications simply because they were having some sort of issue with their system. The entire time Wright and Hollis were both completely rude and seemed to only be concerned about the cars that had pulled up behind me, even though I had waited patiently for quite a while behind the car in front of me and they were the ones causing the delay, not me. Oh and I forgot to mention that they asked me to shut off my car in 84 degree heat with a 3 month old baby in the back. I have used this pharmacy for years, but will NEVER be going back. I would gladly pay more for my prescriptions at another pharmacy to be treated with a bit of human decency and to experience even a modicum of customer service. read more

As I take my place on the soap box, I want to preface this by saying I am not an angry Yelper. However, my local Kroger really gripes me. STOP PUTTING OUT SPOILED PRODUCE!!!! I'm sorry, but I don't like paying $2 for a bell pepper, just to take it home, cut it open and find mold on the inside. I don't like sifting through an entire display of rotten strawberries hoping to find half a box that is edible. It is disgusting to pick up a rotten onion or avocado by mistake, then realize that they are all bad. And please, for heaven's sake, sell some decent sized shallots. Will I stop shopping here entirely? Probably not because it is literally across the street, but I would rather something be unavailable than offered for purchase when it is no longer edible. Kroger customer service is a joke. My mom bought something that needed to be returned for a refund. The store was open but their customer service counter was not. It's only open at "certain hours". The Kroger supervisor I talked to could not have cared less that I would have to make another trip to return these items. I find the majority of Kroger personnel to be this way and it doesn't seem to matter which location I go to. I grew up shopping at Kroger but I'm done! Don't waste your time here. This store has salty, salty attitudes consistently with the cashiers every time I go. Today, I spent an hour shopping in the store. As I check out, I see the register is ringing everything up full price as clothes are clearly marked down with stickers. She said it will come off at the end with your Kroger card, ok. I can't find my physical Kroger card. I search my app looking. I can't figure out where it is to show the cashier. She explains she has no idea how to open it. Let me emphasize with that salty, attitude. I head way over a few lanes to find customer service. The girl says you need a Kroger card. Well then help me get it up on my phone !! Why just you don't offer a courtesy card as I hold up a line! At this point, I am done giving my business to this Kroger. Unfortunately, I walked away from my $143.00 order that was bagged. Publix is just down the street with open arms and top notch. A phone call was placed to Kroger for the District managers name. They never answered the phone it rang and rang. Excellent variety of food! The organic and health food section in this store is the best. It takes me 20 to 30 minutes to get through this section alone. This store also has bins of bulk items such as whole wheat, nuts, trail mix, and herbs. The perfect solution when you need just a cup of whole wheat instead of a whole 5 pound bag. The specialty sections such as the deli, the food bars, and the meat counter are incredible. They have almost everything you can imagine and everything is fresh. There is also a wide variety of fish instead of just tilapia and salmon like some of the other grocery stores. There is a large variety of fresh produce also. Hard to find mushrooms are just one of the many things I come here to get. When you come across a recipe with ingredients you have to google to figure out what they are, this is a great place to find those ingredients. I understand Covid complicated things. However, by now they should know they need more people. I used clicklist ( pick up service) even when I had to pay for it. It was always a great service then. Now it is not. My past 4 orders have been late. I had several Kate ones before that as well, but I did have a couple on time in between. I only get an hours notice at best that it will not be ready. I am an organized person. I schedule things for a reason. I am sure most people do. I do not leave negative reviews often, but it has gotten really bad. I do not blame the workers if there are not enough of them. I would have a suggestion for corporate....stop using last years data to staff. That is a silly thing to do since pre Covid cannot be compared to post Covid. ( especially since this time last year you charged for the service and now offer it for free). read more

Never again! This review is low because I'm giving feedback on the standing rib roast I bought for our Christmas Eve dinner. I shop this Kroger more than any other store throughout the year. However, I frequently purchase my special Christmas Eve rib roast at Publix. This year I thought I'd give Kroger a try. IT WAS HORRIBLE! Literally about 10% - 15% grizzle, with a more than normal amount of sinew woven in. Lesson learned. read more
