I usually love Publix. I have shopped with them in several cities in 5 or 6 states across the Southeast. This is one of two that I really dislike, enough to leave a negative review. The personnel at this location are consistently rude and unpleasant. This is all areas, including the cashiers, deli operators, meat dept, and mgmt. at customer service area. Shopping is definitely NOT a pleasure here. Of course prices are higher than most other groceries in the area, to be expected. I come in only for the produce which is always good and the bogo items. It's just a drag to always leave irritated! read more

Publix is my family's favorite supermarket in Anderson, SC. Produce, meat, fish and their deli and bread are always fresh. They have a great selection of cakes. I remember trying their strawberry tart last year which was absolutely delicious. One thing I have been so looking forward to trying is their pizza dough. It's usually at the bread section in a fridge. Every bad has a pound and 1 ounce. You buy the dough and leave it out for 1 hour and then you can put your favorite toppings on it and bake away! The result, an excellent delicious homemade pizza without the need to make the dough from scratch. I have attached a picture of the pizza I made using the dough. Please try it. You'll really love how great it tastes. Great selections of just everything. Excellent service by all their employees at the store. There is not a single time that I have or my family has been to Publix and we were disappointed. read more

The subs are made very slopily and poorly. The food isn't packed into the sub and always looks like someone is mad when they make my food. It's always cold too. read more

I come all the way from Colorodo once a year and Publix subs are always on my to do list but this location will be permanently removed from the list. My sandwich was fantastic as always but the operations in the deli are sub par to say the least(no pun intended) The girl making my sandwich looked like it was here first time. The work station was messy and under stocked. I heard the other guy making sandwiches tell a customer they they couldn't have Swiss because there wasn't any sliced. That's not how it's supposed to work. You can get anything in that cooler you want. I guess they run things differently here in Anderson. read more

I went to see IT: Chapter 2 with a friend from work and I needed two balloons blown up. All the local dollar stores were either out of helium, or wouldn't blow up outside balloons. In the past year or so, I have really become a Publix fan, especially of this location which is closest to my house. The store is always clean and well lit, and the the team members are always friendly, going out of their way to offer a smile and ask how you are doing. I find this to be unique among grocers these days, and Publix consistently does it. It is obviously part of the culture that they teach in their training program, and it really makes you feel welcomed in the store when all of the employees are smiling and saying hello. I love the fresh breads. Enough said about that. I don't use the deli much, but I love the variety and freshness that it offers, and I know that it is a big deal to a lot of people. I am a big cheese fan, so the cheese selection is a plus for me. I often buy from the seafood department, and while certain items like tuna are not on par with places like Whole Foods, neither are the prices, so I guess that is to be expected. Publix is now the only place I buy steaks. I find that their ribeyes are superior to other grocers, and I appreciate the way the butchers will work with you to find just the right steak you are looking for. I use digital coupons on my cell phone. It took me a little while to catch on how to use this feature, but once I did I find this to be a valuable savings tool. And another service they provide is this: they take your groceries to your car for you. They don't ask you if you want them to like some other grocers halfheartedly do, they simply do it. Of course, you can say that you don't want them to do that and they will not do it, but the point is that they just DO it as a service to you unless you tell them otherwise. Overall, I find that Publix is a cut above other grocery stores in many ways, and I recommend them without reservation. I will say that it took me a while to get used to and appreciate Publix because they are so different, but once I did I don't see myself going back to other grocery stores. After Publix, Ingles and Bi-Lo just don't feel right anymore. You know what they say..."Publix...where shopping is a pleasure." read more

This is not a pleasure to shop at. Most registers are closed, nobody at customer no-service, managers hiding in the tiny office. Prices are very very high (one item $2 less at Walmart) and a nightmare experience every time. Shop anyplace else and you will not have to deal with Jack, the cashier who said he doesn't get paid enough to talk to customers. read more

I was in on the 4th ....picking up some groceries to have on my way to Hilton Head for vacation. Some how three items were left out while the bagger loaded my vehicle. I didn't return until the 13th and while I was stocking up on groceries again I stopped by customer service and told them of this issue.....I not sure if it was the store Manager or not I spoke with but he and the young lady at customer service took care of me 100 %.........Thank You !!!!!! read more

Don't bother ordering a ruben from the deli. Sandwich you get looks nothing like the advertisement. Expecting one large thifk sandwich. Got two thin things. So twice the bread, and given the heels as well. Very, very, very disappointed. read more

Yesterday April 3rd, I became sick while in this store, I stopped an employer to page a friend who was in the store with me. While waiting, the produce manager came over to check on me. He offered me orange juice, I guess thinking I was diabetic, which I'm not. An employee named Misty came and got cold towels for I was about to faint. She had someone bring me a bottle of water. She stayed with me until I was better and escorted me to my friend's car in a wheel chair. This employee's name was Misty.. I would like to thank Publix for the hiring of people such as this. They are always so nice and pleasant, carrying groceries to the car . On this date and experience, I could not have been treated better. I am a long time customer, having shopped in Mt. Pleasant, SC, and immediately changed, from my regular grocery store, when they opened this store in Anderson. Needless to say, I will remain. read more
