I personally love the service at Publix. Publix is more than an average grocery store. Great service great people quality products. They are true BOGOs where they don't jack the price up and then offer the BOGO, like some other grocery stores do. "Publix, where shopping is a pleasure", has been their motto forever. And for the most part it is true. The bigger the store, the larger the assortment of products. The small stores have only the top selling brands. I love their BOGO's, when I can't find something and ask a sales person, they will take me to the item or find out if they carry the product. If they are out of the product they will check in back and if there is none in storage, they will suggest a rain check. Staffs are friendly and helpful and appear to be eager to be there. Also a large Greenwise selection, quality meats and bakery. I am a regular customer for Publix for years. I love the place and the staff. read more

I was planning on doing some shopping there but I needed to use the restroom first, none up front, I see a sign that says bathrooms way in the back I go to it, it has an arrow pointing to the left I follow all the way down until I can no longer go looking for the bathrooms, no bathrooms, wtf I double check go back to where the one sign is re follow the arrow (btw can't go to the right very far, so nothing that way either) Again I find no bathrooms or ANY OTHER signs for continued directions or other indications of where the so called bathrooms are. I was about to ask a female employee, when she gave me the sudden head down, duck out, sitter off down an aisle. So, at that point (I'm too old for this sh*t) I think f.I. I'm out . No business from me, not today. read more

Been shopping weekly at this Publix over 5 years and acquainted with staff. The most friendly has been by far the Bakery dept. and meat depts. read more

Publix is a very good grocery store, but it is not Wegmans. That's it in a nutshell! We have noticed in the recent past that they often have their famous buy one get one free specials, but in the cases of Naan pizza breads, Essentia water and Mott's light apple juice we have hit a wall. We have gone by Publix at least 2 to 3 times a week trying to redeem our rainchecks and they continue to not have enough product. This goes on for weeks. Their rain checks must be redeemed within 30 days in writing. I have some rain checks I have not been able to use due to the lack of sufficient product for extended periods of time. I have also noticed that many times Publix does not put products like Essentia water and Mott's light apple juice anywhere where they can put enough quantities to allow their customers to buy the BOGO sales. We went by our local Publix a few weeks ago before leaving for the mid Atlantic area for Christmas and they did not have enough of these items to redeem our rain checks. This was weeks after their sale was advertised. When we arrived up north, we went to our local grocery store and they had plenty of Motts light apple juice and Essentia water. This is very frustrating. Publix is a large chain of grocery stores. When you put something on a BOGO status, you should have enough product for your regular customers to take advantage of the sale. And yes, we did ask employees to go check in the back to get enough product to use our rain checks. Very disappointing. read more

One of the larger Publix's stores that I've been to with easy access from Sunset Point, Belcher, & Old Coachman. Plenty of parking though it can get a bit chaotic near the bank by Sunset Point. Inside has always been clean & continuously getting stocked by employees no matter what day I've been in shopping. They also seem to have more sample stations at this location compared to other locations I've been. They also have a great selection in every department; I've never not found what I've been looking for, even when it's a less common spice/seasoning or a prime cut of meat for a dinner recipe. Staff here are also always so nice & I have yet to see one person who doesn't look happy to be there. Very happy that this is the closet Publix to me because it's definitely become my favorite to shop at! read more

This Is one of the best run Publix I have encountered. This was once an Albertson's, so it's on the larger size of Publix stores. The employees at this store are exactly what you expect Publix employees to be. Very helpful, smiling, asking if they can help you without you asking them. Terrific store. Their Deli Dept. is run very efficiently, and never much of a wait even when busy. I like this store so much that I pass closer Publix stores just to go here. read more

We have a few all within about equal distance. This location always smells funky and it seems their quality of produce is not as the same quality as the other two locations. As a result, we rarely run to this location. read more

I barely had the ingredients I needed to make one of the specialty subs I had ordered I was sad.. and will no longer try to do this location for a sub again... read more

ordered a whole sub through instacart and they made only half of my sub very poor work if you can't read and follow directions on a ticket

This thanksgiving our son and daughter in law bought us the Publix Holiday Turkey Breast Dinner. We are elderly and cannot cook big Holiday Dinners any anymore. My husband picked up the Turkey Breast Dinner at 8:30 on Wed. morning. He brought it home and I got the Turkey Breast out of the Bag. It was half thawed already, but instructions said to refrigerate and reheat at 325 degree preheated oven. I immediately placed Turkey and side dishes in my refrigerator. Thanksgiving I heated the Turkey carved what we could eat and immediately placed left overs in the refrigerator. I also placed two ice packs beside it to help it cool quickly. I then heated the mashed potatoes and stuffing and proceeded to eat our dinner. About four hours after dinner I became very sick and I was vomiting all night, had severe stomach cramps and a low grade fever. I am very confident that the Turkey was "bad" I know that it was not a stomach flue or anything else as I have not been out of the house in over a month. I am house bound. My husband usually does curb side delivery and always wears a N95 mask on his rare ventures into a supermarket. Publix ruined our Thanksgiving!! They did give us a refund gift certificate but that does not compensate for the suffering and pain I went through on Thanksgiving and several days after. I suspect that somewhere along their production line the Turkey was not handled properly. Either in their warehouse or in their "cooling room" where I was told they started defrosting it. Besides the contaminated Turkey the mashed potatoes and stuffing had large ice Chrystal's on them. Upon finishing the defrosting, which had already started before we picked them up, the defrosted potatoes were like water and were totally uneatable so I tossed them out immediately. The stuffing was also waterlogged and tasteless. The marshmallow Delight was fair and the cranberry relish was acceptable. I think that Publix should be more careful in handling their Holiday Dinners. Thank goodness I finally recovered but I was pretty sick and I am still pretty weak and dehydrated from not being able to hold anything down for several days. Some other elderly or immune compromised person might not have recovered. I am very confident that the Turkey was contaminated to begin with and defrosting it in a cooling room for I do not know how many days before we picked it up was not that safe, as my food poisoning proved. By the way, I am always very meticulous about sterilizing and washing all my counters and cutting boards. It does not appear that Publix cares much for their customers or has any compassion if they get sick on their food. Next year we will not get another Turkey Dinner at Publix. We will get it at Fresh Market where we got it last year without getting sick from it. read more

This is by far my favourite Publix, but sometimes they don't have enough checkout staff working. That is my only complaint. Shelves are always full and they have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. I just wish parsnips weren't so expensive in this country. read more

The other night, I stopped by to get a gallon of milk and was surprised at what an awesome, large Publix this was. As an Alberson's, it always seemed to have a sticky floor and smelled of day-old seafood but not now. So come Saturday, we decide to do our weekly shopping there. Friendly folks, roomy aisles, super clean and a perfect produce area have sealed the deal for our new favorite weekly grocery store. Keep up the good work! read more

I love their bakery, it probably has the best crew. I've ordered deluxe cakes, birthday cakes, cupcakes and they always do an A-1 job. They exceed my expectations always. read more

This Publix is completely safe to shop in. I am grateful for all the employees. They all work so hard and are always helpful.

Worst experience I've encountered at my local publix! I arrived an hour before closing time and Arlene was preparing my sandwich and she had an attitude and rolled her eyes a couple of times. Had an attitude when I asked for mozzarella and said "I have to slice it" then asked again. I worked 13 hours at the hospital came in for a pub sub and was rudely treated. Arlene had an attitude once again when I asked for cucumbers on my sub. I always come here and have never had an issue till now. read more

This is only for the Publix at Belcher and Sunset in Clearwater FL. I typically like Publix a lot. This particular branch is in a good location, is large & roomy, and has the self check-outs (the reason for 2 star). The store is well stocked for regular grocery shopping. It gets a ZERO for the unfriendly Customer service in pretty much all departments. If I go in and pick up my stuff and check myself out, it's ok. But any kind of contact with workers is usually a Zero. The Deli: Nobody in line, several people working but nobody acknowledges you as you wait. Bakery: same thing - plenty of workers but nobody smiles or is too thrilled to ask if they can help you. Front Desk: Pretty much the rudest department of all. I avoid this store and only go in when I'm in a hurry and know I can use the self serve check out. Oh, ya, if you're older you are stereotyped as someone helpless and unable to check yourself out, even though you've been doing it for years. Horrible Customer Service. read more

I know I am going against the majority in Florida but I cannot stand Publix, perhaps being from the Northeast and knowing you can have great grocery stores with great selections and prices I can just never understand why anyone would shop Publix. Yes I do go time to time but at those prices I prefer wholefoods and much better option natures food patch. Are the employees friendly yes. However time and time again when I have had to ask where a product may be or if they stock it, turns into a nightmare of fifteen minutes of guess work. How do they not know the products they stock. Case in point. Creole mustard. They have it. Had to find it on my own after being told otherwise. Another example is wheat berries. Member of management had no idea what these were. This would be acceptable if they did not make their own wheat berry salad. Produce is also very expensive and limited in selection. The only reason for a generous three is because of the employees have a good attitude. read more

Ok have good inventory most of the time.....live right by so it is convenient and a easy stop on the way home.........

Until this week I had not been in this particular store since it was an Albertsons. So several years to say the least. I also remember when it first opened as a Jewel Osco in the mid 90s. And I must say it's holding up fairly ok. The front entrance on the right as you enter is looking a little run down, but I think part of that is because they have ripped up the flooring and are in the process of replacing it. Isles are well spaced and more than wide enough. Well lit with a good selection that is easy to shop. read more

I shop here at least twice a week. The cashiers are so sweet and friendly and the other employees I encounter at the prime meat counter couldn't be nicer. People at the bakery will always stop what they are doing and package a special amount of buns or cut bread to order. I appreciate their helpfulness. If you stop a passing employee he/she will walk you to find an item that you are searching for. I've never met anyone unpleasant or too busy to help. I will agree that the deli always seems to have a line for cold cuts. But this week I noticed that they have established an area that now has precut meat that was cut that day that is available to just pick up and go. It's a real effort to help the shopper who has no time to wait. I appreciate the effort. The pharmacy is great! I was paying 10 times the price for my prescription at another store! Huge savings for me. That alone makes me a Publix fan! Finally, I do enjoy that a few carts are always stationed near the handicapped parking spots for those of us who need to hold on to something to enter the store. It's such a little thing, but the carts are really excellent to push. Thank you Publix. You're my store! read more

Never enough deli workers. Always a hassle to get cold cuts and subs here , even you ordered online. (Not ready)

I tried to return a few bags of peanuts I had For just a few days before I had the proper receipts for the items I was trying to return and the manager Phil Hewitt came up and made a big scene Really embarrassing me in front of everybody that was at the store yelling at me telling me how I couldn't return 4 .50 cent Bags of peanuts even with the proper receipts. Publix Is $2 peanuts really worth losing a customer that shops there 3 or 4 times a week. I would really appreciate an apology from Phil I'm not sure if you meant to embarrass me but he definitely did. He made what should have been something small and insignificant into a huge scene I'm not sure if I feel comfortable shopping there anymore. Corporate publix's I hope you look at this And get back to me. Everything else at the store is great the subs are delicious kanye in the Delhi is always very nice and makes the most delicious subs I've ever eaten so I would hate to stop shopping there just because of one manager that doesn't like me for some reason. read more
