Nice large pieces of catfish $7.99 per lb
    Scott W.

I stop at this Publix every now and then when heading home from this side of town. The staff are friendly and the store is immaculate and clean. Although it's not as cheap as Aldi or Walmart, I do prefer the service and quality of items sold here over other grocers in the area. We stopped in the other night after seeing a few bands at the Post Time Lounge to pick up some items for dinner. My wife and I had been talking about having catfish for dinner for the last 2 weeks so we finally stopped in to pick some up. We also picked up several other items to make a nice big salad. The catfish was $7.99 a pound, and we got three bags of salad mix for $6 which isn't bad at all. The fish was very fresh and made a hearty meal. All in all I've always had good experiences here and would return again if I'm in the area.

I've been shopping at Publix for years. But this location, needs some work. For starters the staff doesn't greet you when they see you. The sub station is always swamped and not staffed correctly to accommodate the amount of traffic they have. They never have the original popcorn chicken available. You have to ask. And don't always get a friendly response. When you write into customer service, you get a PC carbon copy response apologizing and will talk to staff and it never changes. This is an on going issue. Not the standard Publix experience. The only reason I gave 2 stars; the cashiers are friendly and location is convenient. And 1 friendly stockmen and a nice product lady.

New Publix by Sanford. This Publix says everything you need. It even has fish bait! It also had upstairs seating for eating your lunch. Nice deli area. Bakery and. 30 foot beer cooler! 40 feet of wine. Also has a attached liquor store. Prices here seem high. But I know people come for the buy one get one free deals. Most of those are always boxed items. Beer chips mayonnaise etc... Everyone here was nice and friendly. Very Slow for a Saturday afternoon. I will come here for the deals. The cashier said they will build a Wawa next door and a dunkin' donut.

Ohh a brand new Publix has arrived and it is beautiful. Publix has stepped up their game with the design of their new stores or renovations. This Publix has the second floor seating area with indoor and outdoor seating. There's wi-fi and comfortable tables to work remote from there if you'd like or to enjoy a Pub sub during lunch. This store is big and has the new layout with the sub station island towards the right side. Opening day was great and I loved being welcomed to the store with the greeting "welcome to your Publix". This is key in making feel the customer welcome and special and part of why Publix provides an amazing customer experience.

Review was posted on Google reviews and was deleted so be aware they are weeding out bad reviews too it seems.

What is going on with the sushi bar employee? Went in to try their ramen bar, then I get told they are closed by a lady. The next natural question from me is to ask what times are they open and then she prefaces oh we are closing early because we don't have a lot of customers, but if I'm there, I'm a customer, so shouldn't you stick to your times??? She states they're open from 11 am to 5 pm, and it was around 4:20 pm. Then also seemed to pretend like there was a language barrier as I had to repeat myself several times to get the answer. What a joke, this does not represent who Publix is. I've never in my life experienced anything like this at a Publix. I won't be back and will be sure to spread the word.

No other opening has mattered in Sanford for the last few months. And, wow, the new Publix did NOT disappoint. Lots of parking available (including a drive thru pharmacy space) and the grounds are SPOTLESS. I was immediately greeted and just walked around like a freaking tourist with my mouth open. This Publix is gorgeous and I love how the deli is smack dab to your right upon entry. The bakery here is at the BACK of the store, which surprised me but I love the lay-out choices here. Also plenty of Self-Checkouts available. But the second floor dining area is SUPERB - genius concept. I am absolutely coming back to grab some fried chicken and head upstairs to enjoy it. Heck, I might just bring my laptop too because this is a wifi hotspot. You can even sit and eat outside and note all the planes taking off at nearby Sanford International. No question about it - this is the nicest Publix in Seminole County...maybe in ALL the counties.

The saddest excuse for a turkey flatbread

I was so excited to finally get a Publix in this area- the closest one prior being in Heathrow or lake forest. This Publix definitely misses the mark. I want to give them grace because they're new and with that comes expected growing pains but I cannot look over the lack of growth and cleanliness. First issue is the sad excuse for the deli. The subs are definitely lacking. I got a flatbread sandwich and it was definitely not up to Publix standards. The in store deli- Not sure who designed this atrocity but it is NOT functional. The lines for the deli spill into the walkway/aisles. They don't follow the ticket tab system so You have to flag down a deli worker because they're usually backed up making subs. And when they do finally take your order they're disengaged and usually have sidebar conversations- slowing things up even more. I figured I'd order ahead online and pick up-even that can't be done correctly because they packaged the wrong item than what I ordered and I ended up paying more- having no patience to wait in the never ending line I just sucked it up and paid for the incorrect item. Now, the last straw and reason for my one star review- in my incorrect cheese order I found a foul, disgusting, dirty - pinky nail. this was just repulsive. I'll just make the 20 min drive to a clean and organized Publix.

This store is our go-to for meats as their quality and prices are better than the Walmart's nearby. We also shop at this store for their fresh flowers, seafood, and frequent use products such as coffee, bread, creamer, and butter. One thing I don't recommend purchasing from the store is beer; it is not competitive to other stores in the area. Alternatively, they have just remodeled the building and added a Winn-Dixie liquor store next-door, which is competitive to other liquorstores in the area. Don't be surprised if two or three people strike-up a conversation out of the blue while your shopping. Most of customers who shop here are locals and know each other from high school, church, work, etc. The store is very clean and well organized the general manager and managers do an excellent job maintaining this store. Staff members are friendly and provide great service. I always feel welcome and since i've been coming here so long, they treat me like family. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend shopping at this Winn-Dixie.

This place is very clean and the manager takes pride in keeping it well stocked in organized. I looked out today for Cinco de Mayo they had everything buy one get one free for taco making ingredients. I got over $25 worth of stuff for $13 let the BOGO. They offer self checkout in three lines of assisted checkout. Price for vegetables here can be a bit high so I don't shop here all the time but it's only 2 minutes from my house so it's perfect for quick stops.

Having worked retail for over 40 years, I make a point to always be pleasant to the cashiers. For some odd reason, the employees working the registers at this store don't speak. This morning the bias was quite obvious. I said 'Good Morning', handed my recyclable bag to the woman on the register, I only had two items, so it was a quick transaction. Not only did I not get a 'good morning' back, my items were left for me to bag. I find it ODD that the hispanic gentleman behind me got a warm welcome, but for whatever reason, I did not. I don't like to use the term 'discrimination' but that seems to be a common practice at this store if you're a different race. I won't be shopping there again. There are plenty of other friendly stores in the area!

This is in the old Albertson space that's shared with L.A. Fitness. Parking is convenient and available. It's about the same size as Altamonte, perhaps a touch smaller. Yes they have meats here too (unlike the smaller Longwood store), but about the only meat I've purchased is beef shank, since they look OK and are a bit more reasonably-priced than grocery stores. This location also has a few more ethnic choices (other than Hispanic): you can get king mushrooms here, for instance. The only thing that I don't like is the check-out lines, which feel more cramped. I've only visited during non-peak hours; I can't imagine how chaotic it could get when they're busy!
