LOVE this publix by the beach! They have a very good deli at this location & the service is always very pleasant. The employees here are always friendly & engaging. They also have a great sense of humor! :)) Yesterday I stopped in to grab some things, bc I was out of town. I hurriedly changed from my fancy city wallet to my beach duds & unbeknownst forgot to grab my bank cards/credit cards out of it. Just grabbed by beach wallet & made tracks. When I was checking out I got 4 bottles of wine. The lovely young lady there says to me, you get a discount for purchasing four bottles something something... & I was like oh yeah, did I nail it? She Says, "yeah you nailed it" and she says you get a free bag also. And I was like, awesome! lol We were having fun goofing around.. Then, I was about to pay, I realized I had no credit/bank cards as I had left them in my fancy wallet! yikes lol I did have some cash so I quickly counted my cash & said to the cashier "don't go over $160 that's all the cash I got!" Right as the cashier just finished checking out all my stuff it came to $157.34! Almost right on the MONEY BABY! hahah haha. I bought the second rotisserie chicken from Publix deli yesterday and I will never buy another one because it is cooked too long so both sides are inedible because they're so dry and the breast meat is dry but edible, and after a day, the rest me is also an edibl i've learned my lesson. I came to this Publix while staying on the coast and wanted to pick up some supper. When at the beach, you've got to get some steamed seafood! We got shrimp with seasonings freshly steamed in the seafood section for only $10.99/lb. Not to mention, the employees were friendly and always so helpful. There is a reason people shop at Publix over other grocery stores. The environment makes a huge difference. My family and I loved our steamed shrimp and got everything else we needed! First, Publix prices are outrageous. On a recent visit, for example, a single lemon cost 93 cents; 58 cents at Walmart. Second, Publix, like Walmart and all other US supermarket chains, promotes an unhealthy lifestyle with row after row of salty and sugar-laden junk food. Even it's store baked whole wheat bread contains sugar. THERE IS NO SUGAR IN BREAD. It's vaunted deli section is a carcinogens nightmare. My plea: stop eating process meats; it will KILL you. Read the research. Third, it's staff is admittedly friendly but woefully ill informed about its products. I recently asked why the croissants were packaged in plastic containers which transforms this French combination of crunchy and soft at the same time, into a soggy mess when they have other bakery products exposed to the air? The answer I got: "I just do what I'm told." Finally, avoid the ATM because Publix charges $2.75 for a transaction, the highest I've ever seen. So' if you want to get ripped off, this is the store for you. read more

My five girlfriends and I crammed into a one bedroom condo for a four day vacation in Perdido Key and this was the closest grocery store. We ended up going here twice to pick up groceries and supplies because we ended up cooking almost all of our meals except one. It was a nice big, clean store with a bakery, deli that made sandwiches (love that they have Boar'd Head), etc. and they have a great selection of food (but for some reason we couldn't find asparagus because they ran out but it's all good)! Plus they have tons of stuff for the beach which is great bc we needed sunblock, a beach umbrella and chair etc.! I only wish they had more touristy magnets but no biggie! They also had stuff for the pool, sunglasses, flip flops etc.! You name it and they had it! But the reason for 5 stars is the customer service is awesome! I asked where I could find things and they walked me to the aisle. Then I asked of they sold stamps and they said they had them by the book (postcards too!). And each time we checked out they were really friendly asking if we found everything ok. They struck up small talk asking where we were from and just being super nice. They caught their mistake when they rang something up twice and were just super friendly! Too bad we don't have Publix in New Orleans! Otherwise I would check them out more! The meat section provides custom Cuts to suit every need as well as having some awesome people that help with any problems you come across. Stopped here on way home from Pensacola, we usually shop Foley but was nice not having to pay the 31 tax today.. so maybe will save some of my shopping for here since I am in the area monthly. Huge shoutout to Seth at the pharmacy. I had him do my flu shot and had an adverse reaction and ended up fainting in the store. He immediately stopped what he was doing to come and help me, taking my blood pressure repeatedly, had an EPI pen ready incase I fainted again, and sat with me and talked until EMS arrived. He even called me that night to make sure I was okay and nothing else happened. Someone give that man a raise! read more

I live in NY and visit my mom in Pensacola every year. Aside from some amazing fried chicken and a clean, bright, well-stocked store, the employees who work here are always friendly and helpful. Today they went above & beyond!! I needed an emergency flower delivery and there are no local "proper florists" in this area. I remembered Publix sold flowers and called from NY to FL to ask if they could deliver some flowers to a house right down the street. Rob in Produce could not have been more helpful and kind - he said he'd take care of it right away, given the circumstances. Then I was transferred to Stony in customer service who took my cc info over the phone and coordinated with Rob to make sure it was all taken care of. Pharmacy: My husband and I were in your pharmacy yesterday 10.7.2020 for our flu shot. We filled out the Publix flu shot paperwork on the Publix website. We waited 25 minutes in line until we reached the female tech at the counter/register. We then told her we had filled out the needed paperwork online prior to out arrival. We were met with sassy/rude response ". We aren't trained on that". Then we were shuttled over to the side counter to again fill out the same paperwork we filled out prior to coming in to the store. We were told to do our shopping then return in 30 minutes for our flu shot. They called us and we returned for our shot, then "get back in line for your gift card". Didn't know I was getting one, so thanks for that. There was a man in front of us who was unhappy with his co-pay so he opted out of picking up his prescription, he left the register and moved on. We approached to pay for our shot, the man returned moving back in front of us. We got another snarky comment " I'm busy helping this customer move back". Why the anger from this Publix associate? Publix you better get your employee inline. I'm sure we are not alone in getting the brunt of her surly behavior. read more

Why is it that every single time I have shopped here, I have ended up with expired goods within the same evening? First it was breakfast sausage that was over 6 months old, then lactose free milk that was 2 months old, then spinach that was expired a week or so, now G2 Gatorades I purchased last night. I knew something tasted off and the date was November 2019. What is going on here? Why are we constantly running into this problem? I have never had this happen reoccurring at any publix, or grocery store which is why I didn't care to look at dates before purchasing. We have made it aware with all the above items but I haven't mentioned the Gatorade yet. It's not even worth it honestly, just fix it. read more

I'm new to the area (little over yr) and always have my flu shot in Oct. because my Publix pharmacy in my home town was wonderful I thought I would use the pharmacy here. Last year service was really bad. So I thought that was an outlier. Today I show up at 3:40pm to a tech when I ask hello how are you today. He respond "pretty bad what can I do for you" I said oh I'm sorry to hear that but I'm here for my flu shot. She instructed me they only do them after 4pm. Mind you there is nothing anywhere that would let me know that or I would have been here after 4. I shopped and then was finished around 4. I approached a different person where I overheard the tech refer you us as "vultures" I now have my groceries and it is 4:15 and I have now been waiting along now with 4 others for a flu shot. I think Publix Pharmacy has forgotten it is in the retail pharmacy business. CVS right across street and 2 others with in the next 5 miles. I won't be back. Not for groceries or for pharmacy needs. I realize everyone can have a bad day but being rude is unacceptable. Just be nice or do something that isn't in retail. I believe her name was Shonda. read more

I like Publix but it is expensive. Sometimes the store brand costs even more than some name brands. Since this is the closest grocery store to any of the Perdido Key condos we've stayed in, we come here to just quickly pick up items we forgot elsewhere. They actually have quite a good selection of beach umbrellas and chairs, as well as toys and floats. And we got some really fresh donuts from the bakery. An adjoining liquor store and gas station completes the package. read more

What a friendly place to be! This Publix is amazing! I love that everyone who works there have smiles on their faces and will greet you (even when they are clearly busy stocking or straightening shelves). They are also willing to help you! What a shocker, huh? Most other stores (like W-mart) don't really take the time anymore. What made me a true fan is that they carry beautiful produce especially large bags for juicing. I mean I've never seen a 25lb bag of carrots until I saw it here. Amazing! Icing on the cake???? Well when I checked out the cashier even took a minute to check the eggs that I was purchasing. The friendliest grocery store! We are visiting from out of town and on two different trips had multiple employees in different departments ask us if we needed help finding anything. Everyone was smiling and seemed genuinely happy. The cashier noticed a crack in an egg. I told them that it was the last half dozen left. One of the few choices on this side of town for groceries. I think the checkers and sackers are great esp., Carol and sacker Terry. Butchers are always willing to help and items purchased in store are of very good quality and freshness. What I do not like: 1. The pharmacy is a rip off. Don't waste your time...go straight to Walmart at Blue Angel Highway. I had Tramadol filled for my older dog, when I picked it up the next month the price had increased by $40.00!!! With the next refill I checked with Walmart and Kroger and their prices were only $30.00 for 280 pills and Publix remains overpriced at $70.00. Needless to say I don't use the pharmacy at Publix any longer. Who's wants to wait for a price check to get lower price each time? 2. The deli department always has one issue or another. There seems to be a constant power struggle between the employees, they have given me the wrong lunch meat twice in the past ($10.00 down the drain with each of these mistakes they made), they are slow...I place my order and go to get my produce while meat and cheese are sliced and their employees have stopped working on my order to help others so when I returned I still have to wait for them to complete it. I have only been impressed with this department when they have some of the younger guys and gals working in the summer as they seem smarter, faster, aren't trying to boss each other around or display dominance, and work more efficiently. read more

It is such a pleasant atmosphere to come and shop. The fruits and vegetables always look clean and well maintained.
