Matter of fact when driving here I drove right by when I turned onto Sunset Avenue, because I was looking for the logo. Instead the Publix name is etched into the Stonework. Despite being smaller than other locations, this store is well-stocked with an impressive variety of products tailored to its local clientele, including gourmet items, organic produce, and specialty foods. Located on the "Island" once you cross over the Flagler Memorial Bridge and across from Bradley Park, this Publix serves as a perfect grocery stop for residents and visitors. While Publix is generally moderately priced, some items at this location may reflect the higher cost of living in Palm Beach. Shoppers should be prepared for occasional premium pricing on certain goods. The Good Samaritan Hospital is located close by which is genuinely nice if you need to pick up something for your stay or take a break from hospital food and pick up "Pub Sub" in the deli department. This is a seriously bourgeois ass Publix and I'm bourgeois as hell so I love it! My car is one of the cheapest ones in the parking lot and I don't drive a cheap car so that tells you something! Rosemary Square location is a hair closer to me but it's damn near a "satellite" store, if you will. Just only for run in, quick basic items you know any store will stock. So I primarily just come to this location since it's a fully stocked store. The deli chicken be deli-ing. I have never had them make me anything but there's typically a short line so I presume it's good. I'm grab the 8pc and head on out. It's a good amount of freshness to the chicken but I always reheat mine in the air fryer. I'm big on produce and I like their selection except the bagged salads be MIA sometimes. The store is always clean, not much in disarray. I've had interactions with 2 mgrs and some workers. Only one guy I didn't like in customer service desk but everyone is otherwise helpful or friendly. Had one mgr replace an item I somehow left at self-checkout and I presume the person that came behind me benefitted. So that was nice of him to do that! read more

This is a fancy fancy Publix, which should surprise no one. It has all of your standard Publix departments, including that fabulous sub stop, and everyone working there is super nice. While it is super fancy for a Publix, it is not a specialty shop, so you can still get all the Publix staples there. They even have a cute selection of "local" items. But what I appreciated was the good service and the positive policies. I stopped in for a few items, and I noticed one of them rang up the wrong price on the self checkout. I asked the cashier about it and showed her the posted correct price. To my surprise, she took the entire item off and informed me that when the item rings up wrong, they give it to you for free! Superb Supermarket, Superior service, idesigned beautifully in a Spanish/Mediterranean Style and it features beautiful plants/Flowers and many kosher food items! They also have motorized chairs for those who require them. They also have an extraordinary pharmacy with the team that helped save my life when I was too weak to call for help. It's really painful for me to write this review about Publix on Palm Beach, because I prefer to shop at local specialty shops. So, think of this Publix as a market composed of several local shops under one roof (I said to myself). My primary gripe for years has been that it is difficult to balance quality with quantity or quality with low price. Even Ben Franklin had the same trouble a couple of centuries ago allegedly causing him to have said: "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten" Publix's Palm Beach meat department has created retail alchemy by achieving what most--including yours truly--thought it impossible to achieve: good quality and low price, especially during this time of "transient" inflation. I regularly buy at Publix's PB outpost, USDA Prime beef steaks (and on occasion have the steaks cut to my specs Typically 2.5 inches thick)) at around $19 bucks a pound on average. Other shops both on and off "The Island" charge anywhere from $27 - $35 around for the same USDA grade of meat. I bought both and I could not discern a difference, except in my wallet. The deli is a hit and miss depending on who is working that day. Most of the time the deli staff is first-rate. I like my deli meats ultra-thin (unlike me). So thin that some meats like prosciutto tend to stick together or crumble like Boar's Head branded deluxe cooked ham. Whatever. I like the meat ultra-thin. However, my preference on how my cold cuts are sliced is typically a pain in the derriere for deli staff (I know firsthand because I worked at a busy deli many, many moons ago). Some simply ignore my request/pleas and slice the meat however they please but not before they first dispense some attitude. I blame the store manager for not properly training these outliers but I'm also cognizant that there is an ongoing bono fide labor shortage. My experience with the rest of the store's staff has always been fantastic. Publix on PB is large enough to have a sampling of all the products that I frequently use but not necessarily my favorite brands. This is especially true of olive oils and with ethnic foods. For example, they have a very small selection of Greek olive oils but they don't carry Iliada, which in my humble opinion is the best Kalamata EVOO (and no I'm not from that part of Greece). Fruits and veggies are almost always fresh. Great selection of fresh greens too. What else can a wannabe chef trapped inside a former banker's body want or need? read more

The store has valet parking, and they take most major credit cards. The fruit is great. The store is well-organized, and the staff are helpful. They have some medicine. In addition, there is a good selection of yogurt, meat, fruits, salads, cookies and meats. The staff will help you take your groceries to your car. I love to get my Zero Sugar Peach Snapple there! The vanilla and coconut yogurt is great, and the selection of cookies is divine. My family has been going to Publix for years. read more

Rita, are you going to the Publix in Palm Beach (FL)? You can't get in without a fabric face cover. They limit the number of customers in the store which creates a line halfway around the building with tape guides every six feet. Inside the aisles have become one-way. The staff is wonderful. The dogs are amusing and less sanitary than kids of which there are few. The customers are very accommodating. That is all except for one woman who was trying to rule the world. I love this Publix for its meat selection. Unfortunately, I went last week and purchased a 35$ steak that looked delicious! After 2 days in the fridge stored in perfect conditions the steak was heavily oxidized and had a bad smell. I purchase, store and cook steaks all the time so I'm positive it was not my fridge as all the other proteins are fine. No big deal! Pubix is the best! They will simply swap me out for a new steak or refund my money! Right! WRONG. Literally with no questions asked and a rude attitude at customer service I was told. "There's NO returns during the virus" which I completely understand! But seriously?! No store credit? Nothing? VERY DISAPPOINTING and a Waste of money during these tough times. read more

Just horrible. Even during good times the place is always crowded, and dogs are allowed to roam the aisles without anyone doing anything about it. Not sanitary at all. I have spoken with management but they don't care, they just post a small sign at the door and they are "covered". The place is like a kennel. But it gets worse, now with the emergency health situation they are doing nothing to keep customers at a distance or to encourage social distance. All the manger says is that he sends suggestions to headquarters. How little do they care about their customers, both the local management and Publix corporation. This is not the only Publix I have tried in recent weeks and all of them are so poorly run and so inconsiderate. Wish there were other supermarkets in the area because if I can help it I will not set foot in another Publix. Management is really on the ball and each day programs get put into effect that make us all safer. A serious thank you to staff for exposing themselves to all of us as nobody knows if he has the virus..........there is NO TESTING here on the island. As to stocks of the things we need, in spite of our capacity to hoard things, Publix has kept us able to get everything. I learned that the Publix over at Palm Beach has Boars Head's Rosemary Ham (try it-- it's good) and is MUCH closer to my house than the Greenwise or the non-organic Publix on Village (probably a 10 minute drive vs. a half hour). So I just HAD to give it a shot. At first pass, despite knowing approximately where it was, we still drove right by the store. I don't know why I was expecting to see a parking lot as we went by (silly me), but it's pretty much camouflaged. We went around the block once and finally found it and WHOA-- valet parking? Really? I kind of wanted to valet my car (it's an 06 Escape, not really a shitbox, but definitely the type of car the help would drive), but that was mostly because I was worried the owners/drivers of the two Rolls Royces, handful of Bentleys, and other cars WAY more expensive than mine would point to my car if they had a scratch on theirs. All joking aside, it's a Publix. I don't see how people can expect some sort of magical hype just because it's in a wealthy area. That being said, I love the selection of food here. Why? Because it is different from that in most of the other Publix locations I've visited, and it reminds me of the market I used to go to back north in Cambridge. I can find caviar. My special meat marinade that I've had a hard time finding is here AND there are different flavors. I want spelt bread? I can find it. Quinoa pastas? Also here. Bissli falafel snacks? Yep. Here. And of course, a delightful selection of Cadbury's chocolates can be found. Dairy milk and Crunchies make my world go round. Oh, as well as the Boars Head rosemary ham. Seriously. It's awesome. It's also quiet. When I went last Sunday, we were the only ones down most of the aisles aside from the people working there. I could spend time looking for things without being constantly bumped into by some degenerate's kids or some self-important parvenu in Juicy yoga pants who can't get her organic stuff fast enough. The remodeling is nice, the people who work there pleasant, and some of the patrons provide a great laugh without meaning to. I was going to give it 1 star, but realized I was so let down because of all the hype, which isn't their fault. That falls on people who think things taste/look/are better just because they have to drive over a bridge to get to them. Honestly, it's your average, older Publix with a little extra wine and meat. The organic and raw meat selection barely compares with Greenwise and the service is sub-par. I had an employee come up and ask me what wine I was looking for, then proceed to leave me when an older lady asked another question. No big deal, but if he had at least given me a nod or acknowledgement, I would have been fine. I figured...ok, maybe the food quality will be better and my trip and annoyance will have been worth it. Nothing amazing so far. Produce is mediocre in quality and average in selection. A few high end items were sprinkled through, but, say, the dried fruit and nut section was a third of the size of the one in Jupiter. The seafood looked nice, but no better than a couple of the other locations (not all). Only worth the trip if you live in the area. If not, head to Greenwise and spare yourself the bad parking and cramped aisles. read more

This Publix needs to get new management. Items on sale are rarely displayed so you have to wait for an associate to bring it out to You. Why would they put an item on sale and give it two slots on the shelf. I would suggest you stop promoting Aquafina and Bubbly as you are always out of stock. Your deli department has gone downhill. Love Publix subs!!!! My favorite is to get the Boar's Head buffalo chicken deli meat sliced fresh once you order with freshly sliced provolone cheese as well. I always get the sandwich on wheat bread with mayo, lettuce, tomato, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. One of my favorite sandwich creations of all time! The buffalo chicken isn't too spicy just adds nice flavor. The large is big and will definitely fill you up. Most people can get full on just a half size sub. If I really want to splurge I love to get chocolate chip cookies and fresh Publix lemonade to go with it. Perfect combo!!! read more

We were coming to a graduation here at PBA and needed a graduation cake. I live in Nashville and didn't know of any bakeries. After calling several who said I didn't call soon enough for them to have it ready when I needed it, I decided to turn to the familiar and called this Publix. I described what I wanted and not only did they look on Pinterest with me so they could see what I wanted but everyone I talked to was genuinely excited to create this cake for me. It was ready when I arrived and was exactly what I wanted! Then I ran by the floral department to get a bouquet of flowers and the nice lady in floral added paper around it and tied it off with raffia. I love this place but quite a few or the sales associates lack fundamental customer service. The customer in front of me was surprised with the price that the wine rang up. The cashier was asking a bagger to check the price and her attitude of not waiting to do it was obvious as it took her three minutes to finally decide before our bagger went ahead and did it. I spoke with Customer service to answer a question concerning gluten free brownie mix. Michelle couldn't be more accommodating. She went so far as to check the availability and tell me EXACTLY what aisle number and location!!!! This is by far the best publix possibly in Palm Beach county. The best part is it is clean! All the stock is usually rotated and the staff knows where everything is. The deli is the best especially if I need to grab a quick bite (PUB SUB), they are so much faster then the one in downtown West Palm Beach. The checkout lanes you never wait for more then 5 minute, which is a big deal to me. The baggers are always friendly and make sure that all my cold stuff stays together. This is, quite possibly, the richest grocery store in the U.S.. Where else do you see a parking lot full of Bentleys (the Buick of PB)? The staff are ultra accommodating. The first time I shopped there and they offered to take my single bag to the car my jaw dropped. The fresh faced boy behind the deli counter automatically hands you a slice of whatever you are buying to nibble on. Like a lot of The Island, it's like stepping back into the 1950s.
