Publix is a Florida favorite. Their customer service is usually top notch. Bathrooms are clean (I usually stop there for restrooms and snacks when traveling). It's a place most Floridians know and trust. Unfortunately, they've gotten political and donated to Political Action Committees to establish themselves further. Aside from politics, their service is great and hopefully, they'll get back to being nonpartisan. They have a fabulous deli with delicious subs. They serve salads, rotisserie chicken, ready to eat meals, sushi, and so much more. Let's not forget their bakery. This is our neighborhood Publix we have used it for 10 years. There are pros and cons overall it's ok. The pharmacy people are great, the store employees are great, management is extreme, and the deli is a nightmare. Don't expect to get good service at the deli they take forever and are rude. The sub people always mess (in last 5 years) up the orders so if your looking for a Publix sub this may not be your location. read more

Supermarket Publix is sort of that one-stop-shop where you can get cold-cuts, cheese, grapes, breakfast items and a bottles of wine and milk to wash it down. This Publix is a little bit on the older side which is to say, a little smaller than the more recent giant-sized stores that are out there. Me, I prefer smaller as they are easier to navigate. This location has pretty good deli department - perpetually busy but the people back there are champs. You can really get into the nitty gritty on how you want that liverwurst cut; know whut mean? Aside from that, the rest of the store is pretty much what you expect at a Publix (or any supermarket really). The difference is that Publix prices tend to be on the extremely high side. The latest and the newest addition to the area that was added to the new Alton neighborhood. Publix is a wonderful grocery store which we have shopped at often. My favorite is the delicatessen where they are friendly and very accommodating. The delicatessen at this location is much larger and has faster service for their customers. The grocery store cashier lines seems to move fast. And usually can park easily nearby the entrance. I do not recommend Publix stores for specialty food items. There are many other options within the area. read more

The employees have always been pleasant until yesterday when a girl named Stacy at the deli counter who mocks me every time I go to deli department mocks me and talks about my service dog and other derogatory comments to her co workers. Yesterday I had it. She said loudly a few things about me to get co worker, I asked her manager her name and reported her to the store manager who handled the situation horribly by telling me they would talk to her not even I am sorry! I shop at other Publix and never get treated that way. You never talk about a customer in front of a customer. The girl should be terminated immediately as no customer should tolerate that. Today my boyfriend and I went to his mother's funeral. I needed a card and we wanted to buy flowers or a purple flower that represented his mother's favorite color. We walked to the floral department and I told the woman where we were headed and what we were looking for. She created the most beautiful boutonniere that brought tears to my eyes. Very rude yelling at staff in front of customers & store, just all around rude horrible person. She needs to be taken out of her managerial role and put back on stocking shelves! This is a very nice store. Very clean and safe. Should add more organic produce. The only negative for me was I felt I received unwanted attention from 2 men that were re-stocking produce. They weren't greeting/or saying "how ya doin" to anyone else... even though quite a few other people were browsing in the produce section. EXPIRED FOOD!!! On multiple occasions I've gone to this store and picked up meat, diary, and frozen food, which I later came to find was expired or rotten! Don't buy from here. My last purchase was frozen tilapia. It was green with white patches when it thawed. I have video to prove it! read more

The only reason we ever shop here is convenience. The quality sucks and the prices are outrageous. The butcher should be fired. What passes as "steak" there should be called tough stew meat anywhere else. The audacity of they're prices for low grade products is down right offensive. Publix . . . if any competition came to Florida you would lose many customers. I warned my wife about your meat department and she took a chance out of haste and you didn't disappoint as usual . . . I couldn't finish a single piece. Costco is kicking your but in quality and I will tell everyone I know. I would rather flush money down the toilet that buy anything in your meat department again. This is one of the nicest grocery stores I've ever been in. I shop here when in town to see my dad. The prices are good, the produce is always fresh, the deli, seafood and bakery depts are wonderful. What I like most about the store is its customer service. Because I don't shop here on a regular basis, I often need help finding things and staff are really really nice. Today, the manager, Jim Key, went above and beyond providing customer service to make my dad's and my Thanksgiving very special. Thank you Mr. Key for going out of your way for us!
