As I have mentioned in earlier reviews, my husband and I shop at different Publix locations. Their motto is: Where shopping is a pleasure! Well, for the most part, yes; however, there are good Publix stores, great Publix stores and not so good Publix stores. We have shopped at many. One of our favorite Publix locations is this one on Winter Springs Blvd. in Oviedo. They are one of the smaller, quaint stores, but they are one of the best! They usually have everything I'm looking for and their produce doesn't rot in 2 days after getting it home. All of the Publix stores has impeccable customer service. They have great BOGO deals! Their stores are always clean and neat. When I mentioned that some locations are not so good is because their buyers of produce is purchasing old produce, which rots after one or two days after getting it home. The other problem I have is they discontinue products that are commonly used, while still stocking products that I can't imagine people even buying! There's no rhyme or reason! read more

Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars. read more

I had the best customer experience here this week. My son went in and bought something from the deli with his friends and left his debit card at the little table inside next to the deli. I called to see if anyone had turned in a debit card when he got home and realized he dropped his card. The woman on the phone asked what register he went through so she could check with them and then she walked over to the deli and looked there as well. She found the card, which is fantastic, but just her full attempt to try to locate it for someone calling on the phone is truly something that you don't get anywhere anymore. I am grateful to her and I just want to say that is what makes Publix different. They're simply better. Thank you, for being better than the rest! read more

This Publix is laid out way different than most stores. It may have been an Albertson's at one point, not sure. The produce is all the way in the back left and the meat department is in the back right. Frozen foods are in the middle aisles. The deli and bakery departments are in the usual place, and fairly large. Aisles are also a foot or two narrower than most Publix stores. Difficult to peruse an aisle when there's other people in it. The ceiling is noticeably low; makes the store feel smaller than it is. Everything even remotely medical-related is outside the pharmacy (in front of produce). But for some reason diapers and tampons and protein bars are also over there. What is this, Walmart? Even the store itself is so far back from the road that you would never know it's there if you were just driving by. Hell, the actual sign above the front door is WHITE instead of the standard Publix mint green. There's not even a sign out front at the road (that might be some kind of dopey city policy though). The parking lot is also quite cramped. It's on a slant, which means when you bring you shopping cart to your car it may roll downhill and hit your car or the car next to you. And for some reason there's a little park right in the middle of the lot. WTF? I will say that the store is noticeable clean and well-lit. Employees are just as nice and helpful here as any other Publix. So what I'm saying is, unless you shop here all the time you probably won't know where anything is. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed this place. read more

This is my new local Publix and I love it. The store is very clean and the staff are very friendly, especially the employees in the sub/deli area. I've made multiple trips here lately for subs for my friends and family who have worked on my new house. Publix subs are absolutely one of the best. My favorite is the Publix Italian. This is one of those older Publixs around here. If you are a regular here, workers will greet and recognize you (Not all) but some do. I especially like the bakery department staff, always pleasure to talk with. Nothing special about this Publix worth mentioning other than cute cashiers that do work here that do look like models! I always wonder why they are not out pursuing Hollywood-like careers ;) Check out their clearance section near their pharmacy area for some great steals. Happy shopping! read more

I stopped by Publix at Tuscawilla Bend to pick up a couple items and a some Powerball tickets, and was assisted by a rude Customer Service employee named Heather. She was very discourteous and was not friendly at all. She needs further training on how to serve the customer with a more pleasant face and a positive attitude. Heather has a poor attitude. My main complaint about this Publix is that its floral section is very sad. Rose selection is fine but anything other than roses, good luck in finding something nice. Now I am by no means an expert in flowers and am your typical guy, but I am able to differentiate between a nice bouquet and a dismal looking one. Something simple to give to your Mom or a girl ... without going overboard with roses. The non rose selection was composed of mainly sunflowers and what Publix called wild flowers ... but not really flowers. And there was also an alternate selection of flowers close to the entrance, but it was massisve. Something like twenty stems. Way too big. Ugh. Anyway, if you are looking for a nice colorful, simple bouquet, do not come here. Try another Publix. read more

This is the publix in my neiborhood that I have been shopping at for 3 years now. The staff are always nice, the kids working here seem helpful and like their part time jobs. The bakery and meat dept. are probably where they shine the most. Prices are high, but thats all Publix locations. The store is clean, the parking lot is never overloaded with carts and there are never any issues with customer service that I've seen. The only complaint I have is that they don't have the selection other Publix seem to have. Overall Im please though. read more

I love this Publix. All the associates are very nice. I'm in this store everyday with my grandchildren. I loved the new wine section. The aprons lady is fantastic..always friendly and offers you food. The deli is always friendly and of course the bakery knows my grandsons with the cookie. They did a great job on my grandsons B cake. Meats always looks fresh. The associate filling the yogurt is very friendly and helpful. Their is always someone on the floor working to help you. The store always looks clean. When checking out I never have to wait long and when I get up to the register the bagger starts getting my groceries out of the cart for me. You never see this in other chains. Every time I come here the cashiers are always friendly and smiling. I have shopped many Publix and this one is far the best that I've been in. Publix is definitely the more expensive choice when it comes to regular grocery stores. They do have the best customer service, hands down though. Their deli, meat, and seafood is also the best you will find in a grocery store. You have to try to shop smart at Publix. Get their buy one get ones and some of their other specials. However, if you want savings on everyday goods, you may be better off at a different store. read more

I like this Publix better than the one in the Tuskawilla shopping center and the one in Winter Springs Town Center because the wine selection is the best. They also have a limited, but decent, selection of beers. Groceries? well, they're groceries. It's an older store, however they offer the obligatory Greenwise products and organic fruits and vegetables, which I buy in a pinch (Whole Foods rocks the organic fruits and veggies). This publix allows a maximum of $100 cash back, whereas the other two aforementioned Publix stores allow only a maximum of $50. read more

This publix gets 5 stars and an A+ because of its wine selection. I have never been to a publix with such a variety of wine and mixers. I have found amazing new wines that I can't find at other stores. Also, they have a wine chiller! Pop your bottle in, do some shopping, and your wine will be chilled and waiting for you! I look past the stores age (there is a bright brand new publix closer to where I live) for that wine room. read more
