This is my local Publix. Most of the staff members are friendly, helpful and greet everyone that walks in. My only frustration with this location is the meat section. Many times the section is not stocked and the cuts of steak are overpriced. Sometimes there's barely any chicken. Not sure what has changed but this location used to be better. I really think some of the staff members should be promoted since they are more on point than some of the managers. read more

I don't think there is such a thing as a "bad" Publix, but now I know there are extra awesome ones!! This particular location on the corner of East Colonial and Woodbury (near the 408) isn't our usual location, but I've stopped in a time or two. For whatever reason I thought it was your run of the mill Publix, but yesterday I happened to make my way through the produce and grab and go section and... wow! Why don't we have this at ours?! It's the newest Publix in the area around us so I guess it's no surprise. But dang! This is a great location. I've never had trouble with parking here either so I def recommend this one. I got an Italian sub toasted, the meat ratio was not proportioned good at all it genuinely didn't taste good at all(I get it the same way everywhere, this was my first time getting a sub from this location) I also got the sub toasted and it is rock solid the roof of my mouth couldn't handle eating even half. Wow! What an impressive Publix. This is not my regular Publix, but I needed a few things and this was on the way so I stopped in. I'm glad I did. The layout is different than the store I typically go to, but that's common with all stores. It took me a bit longer to find some things, and as I perused the store, I was impressed by some things I don't have at "my" Publix. First, there's an Olive Bar! It's an indulgence, but if it goes on sale, I'll be there filling a bucket full of those red peppers. Yum. There's also a soup and salad bar to go along with it. They also have the deli area where you can get hot foods and subs, but that's pretty standard. The other thing that really impressed me was their display of cold prepared foods. There were so many to choose from. I wasn't there shopping for those on this trip, but would be a place to stop and pick something up for a quick meal. As always, the staff at Publix is always friendly. The cashier was checking out my selections and inquiring about them. It's nice that they're paying attention and not just blindly scanning the items. read more

As far as supermarkets go here on the east side of Orlando, Publix is the undisputed leader. From my house I have a half dozen locations within a few miles. I can hit any one of these locations within ten, fifteen minutes tops by car. With that being said, I am not here more than other locations. East Colonial Drive can get a bit busy during rush hour, so I often opt for other locations. But this Publix lives up to the Publix demand for fantastic customer service, good value, and a clean, attractive store. On this particular evening there was a long line at the deli for the subs despite it being after 8:00 PM. It is no wonder, Publix subs are renowned and it is a reputation that they earn. Publix subs are fantastic. Publix offers a sub far superior to many of the national sub chains. All in all, Publix is a great supermarket. It sets the bar here in the southeast for what a supermarket should be and continues to exceed its customers' expectations. read more

My go to Publix since it's the closest one near me. I know the employees somewhat well thanks to doing instacart so often lol Today I just went in to grab my sub order I placed online.....DON'T place your order online because it's never ready and always wrong/missing something. I only ever get a veggie sub so there's not much to it but I'm always missing veggies plus I like to add mushrooms since they have basic veggie options. I also don't get how they "run out" of items if they're literally in a grocery store lol if you add anything to the "note" they'll sometimes ignore it. The deli area is the same and I sometimes have problems with orders when I'm doing instacart. The veggies have gotten better though! But I don't think it was Publix fault but I feel like could've just put off getting certain veggies. This location is always super busy! Parking is insane and no other customers will care about you. I've gotten hit by shopping carts, almost clipped by cars and pushed out of the way. A note to other shoppers during a bad storm.....DO NOT be selfish and take everything and leave others without! Coming to Florida for the first time, I had no idea what to expect from Publix other than what my girlfriend told me, which was that they had really good subs and their key lime pie was amazing. Happy to say it doesn't just stop there. First off, it's just a great grocery store. Everything is organized well. The employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm always the guy asking where something is (because apparently I'm blind) and the people have always gone out of their way to show me. All the workers there have tablets or apps on their phones so that they can look up exactly what you want and where it is. They will still go with you to help you find it which is appreciated. The highlight of my Publix trips have to be the Deli and Pastry sections. I have a huge sweet tooth, so I'm all too happy to just kinda walk around the pastry section for 10 to 15 minutes, getting my weekly intake of food porn. Nearly everything is made in store, so everything is super fresh. Tarts, eclairs, donuts, pies, cookies, pudding, flan, cakes, chocolate covered strawberries.... if you can think of it, they probably have it. The pastry section alone is why I spend about an hour a day at the gym, just trying to make sure I'm not that guy on the news being taken out of his apartment in a crane because I was too big to fit through the door. If I had one complaint, it would be that there aren't enough gluten free options. Personally, I eat everything, but I know people that are pretty much restricted to just a few of their cupcakes. One of the great things about this location in particular is something I found out just recently talking to one of the employees; this store is one of the pilot stores, so basically it will have some items here way before other locations as a way to test them out with shoppers. That really keeps the Pastry section interesting. The deli section is amazing as well. Their subs look great, but personally I like to go for the healthier options (which I know to most would mean "not as tasty"... but not here). My favorite lunch items here are the daily-made protein bowls. It's like the filling of a burrito in salad form, and all the ingredients are so fresh. I have at least 2 or 3 a week. The chipotle chicken one is my favorite. If I'm craving something bigger, I'll head to the fried chicken. Honestly, I think their fried chicken rivals that of any KFC or Popeyes, and I love those two chains. They are always super juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and very well seasoned. The wings, the fried chicken pieces and the popcorn chicken are all must-tries for sure. Seafood, produce and meat sections are all pretty standard. Sometimes they get in some specialty items, like the large purple grapes from Chile, but it must be seasonal. Checking out is never a problem at this location. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes to have everything rung up and paid for. There is always someone bagging everything up for you too. Depending on how much you've bought, many times they will offer to help you to your car, which I imagine is helpful to many handicapped or elderly shoppers. In terms of prices, I was so used to shopping at Whole Foods back in NY that everything here seems pretty reasonable. I'm also incredible pleased that this store is literally around the corner from my place. A truly great place to grocery shop. read more

Every single time I've shopped at this Publix, customer service has been AMAZING! All employees are so polite and knowledgeable about everything. Today, though Lauren and Jake were extremely kind to me as I mistook a sale item for another and they went as far as getting the correct item FOR me and being so nice about it. Deli is Sooo slow. They drag foot on every order. No reason to take 30 minutes to get in line and get out. 0 urgency.

Every time I'm in Orlando to visit my son who attends UCF, we end up in here buying groceries for him. The store is almost always crowded but the service is cheerful and usually fast. On Sunday afternoon, my son was looking for a funnel to use for his powdered drink mixes. We walked up and down every aisle while shopping and couldn't find a funnel. When we asked a young lady who was stocking a shelf, she not only told us where it was but took us right to it. I've also had balloons blown up and floral arrangements made here when I've requested it.Checking out usually is quick and efficient. The parking lot can be a bit aggravating at times but all in all, the service and cleanliness at this Publix is excellent. read more

I just moved into EOS Apts next door and it's nice to just walk over. However, I also transferred my prescriptions from another Publix to this one and the pharmacy was awful! I was on hold listening to "music" for over 11 minutes before I finally got a real person. I didn't even call during a busy time of day. Awful. That said, the deli is incredibly slow. I never thought that I would have a very bad review for Publix. They are great at the store, always very attentive, but now with the Covid-19, I was left with no option, but to order online. Little did I know that they use this "Instacart" service which is the WORST service. They do not go by the Publix standads. By the way, if you call Publix to cancel an item, they send you to the instacart and the number doesn't work. So you really are screwed. Do not order from them. At this point you are better off prdering from Walmart. Their cart works fine, you can cancel and replace with no problem even the day before your scheduled pick up. I'm very disappointed, but I learned my lesson. I'll never order from them again. Bye bye publix read more

If you are looking for the best prices, you are in the wrong store but if you want great customer service, exceptional baked goods and a great deli with a good selection of items... I love Publix. I've experienced nothing but helpful employees and wonderful selections. This review is for the new location on East Colonial drive, east of Alafaya Trail. Once you get passed the brightness of the store, you are welcomed by the customer service desk staff, and invited to browse the various grocery selections, starting with the BOGO deals. The bakery was well-stocked and I found the layout of the sundries were in a logical manner conducive to the most efficient means of filling my basket. I was checked out quickly, and since I brought my own reusable bags, was not subjected to a thousand plastic bags with only a single item. I truly enjoy this location, and am very excited about the other stores going up in the same center. read more

Didn't have much time to check out the entire store, so I can't do a price comparison from other grocery store equivalents such as giant and shoppers food warehouse. The new Publix that used to be located in the plaza with Denny's and Taco Bell. Nice selection of foods and bakery items(but ever since the move they stopped carrying my beloved cheesebread; maybe you have to special request it?) The produce section could have more organic variety. They have a lot of international goodies and are starting to offer more gluten free products, slowly inching their way into becoming like Whole Foods. Always clean and not too busy most of the time. A nice parking lot, however I predict traffic will get worse once the McDonalds and Wawa gets built in front of it. Majority of the workers are UCF college students but are always willing and helpful when bringing groceries to your car, a trademark of Publix. I would say to come to Publix to get your produce and a sub if you are looking for lunch/dinner. read more

I just got home from buying a chicken tender sub and man this is the worse sub I've ever had from a Publix. The individual was rushing and didn't take care of me as a customer at all. I asked for mild Buffalo sauce and if it could be tossed... he said no he couldn't but I've had other employees do an alternative method where they put it in a little to go tray and mix it with the knives (at several Publix) instead he he poured so much sauce all over the tenders to the point it didn't even toast right. This Publix is great, like most of the other Publix' I have utilized in my three years in Orando. You can tell this company takes care of their employees because the employees are always friendly and provide great customer service. The first stop is to always get the kids a free cookie at the bakery. I always shop here versus Walmart Neighborhood Market because their produce sections and meat/seafood are much better and fresher than Walmart. I recommend using their online coupons and shopping their BOGO's in order to save a ton of money! read more

My wife stopped in after work, having skipped lunch, which always means more shopping than intended. She picked up a box of Fried Chicken, which was quite good. We had a couple of the chicken breasts served over salad; and, it was great. She picked up snacks for me and for our daughter, taking advantage of the BOGO bins! She also picked up some Chiquita Bananas, which are my favorite -- Publix does bananas better than anyone else! She also picked up some salad fixin's and some fresh vegetables for our daughter's lunch. Great stop, quick and easy. Access to and from the parking lot via Woodbury Road can be tricky; but, off of Colonial is easy, especially at the light. read more

Deli here is the worst out of any publix ive been to. I come back every time expecting a better outcome only to be disproven again and again. I go to the one by UCF now. The pharmacy here is awful. They mess up my prescription almost every time I come to pick it up. I have been coming here almost a year and they still can't seem to get it right. Horrible customer service. If any other pharmacy could order my medication, I would go there instead but unfortunately I am stuck with the incompetant people here. Save yourself some time and trouble and get your prescriptions filled elsewhere. read more

Bad night at the deli. Ordered three subs at 7:38 with a pickup time of 8:15. The deli area was not real busy but steady. Finally got two sub at 8:30 and had to what longer for the third one. Two of the subs the bread was rock hard and dry which is not the norm. I guess what I'm saying is deli is not very good in the evening. read more

My favorite location near me! Publix in general always provides a wonderful shopping environment but the staff here are always so friendly and helpful. As soon as you walk in there is a greet, and as you browse the aisles the staff is always asking if they can assist you even when you cash out! I don't know any other company that does that. Very nice and new Publix attached to a growing shopping center in East Orlando. The selection is very good, never seen them run out of anything I need. They also have very friendly staff who are mostly UCF college students. Overall a great Publix location, my only wish is that they would remodel it like the amazing new design they did in Winter Park! read more
