Publix's Instacart Curbside Order Experience - Store 1442, August 21, 2026…read more I am writing to provide feedback regarding my first curbside pickup experience at Publix Store 1442 on August 21, 2026. Unfortunately, the experience was unsatisfactory, not simply because of the delay, but because of the sequence of events and the apparent inconsistency in how curbside orders were being handled. My original order was placed at approximately 3:59 PM EST. The estimated pickup window provided was 6:18-6:38 PM. At approximately 5:44 PM, I received a notification that the order was taking longer than expected, but no revised pickup time was provided. The order was ultimately marked ready for pickup at approximately 6:41 PM. At approximately 7:25 PM, I used the app to indicate that I had arrived. For at least the next ten minutes, I observed two associates outside walking back and forth with shopping carts. I assumed they were returning the carts to the store, although I could not know what they were actually doing. At approximately 7:35 PM, the app notified me that there was an issue preventing curbside service and instructed me to come inside to retrieve my order. I did so and went to Customer Service, where I received a courteous apology for the situation, which I appreciated. While I was waiting, what appeared to be a manager briefly greeted me and continued on with their duties. Shortly afterward, another customer's curbside notification was audibly received at the Customer Service desk. Almost immediately, that customer's order was being packed into a cart to be taken outside by an associate--the same individual I had observed outside when I arrived and later observed near the store entrance after I went inside. I recognize that there may have been circumstances I was unaware of, and I do not want to unfairly accuse any employee of intentionally neglecting a responsibility. However, from a customer's perspective, the contrast was difficult not to notice. My order had been delayed, curbside service was subsequently unavailable when I arrived, and I was required to come inside, while another customer's curbside order appeared to receive prompt attention immediately afterward. There was also an issue with the contents of my order. I had ordered three sandwiches through the Instacart menu and selected the bread and cheese as part of those selections. One associate returned with only what appeared to be one portion of the sandwich order and then went back to clarify the request with the deli. The associate subsequently returned with only a quantity of shaved deli meat, which was not what I had ordered. The bread and cheese selections I had made through the Instacart menu were not reflected in what I received. I understand that delays, technical problems, misunderstandings, and order errors can happen. I also understand that curbside pickup is a convenience service and that circumstances can occasionally prevent it from operating as intended. My concern is therefore not simply that something went wrong. It is the overall appearance and inconsistency of the service I experienced. When a customer has already waited beyond the original estimated pickup window, reports their arrival, is then told to come inside because curbside is unavailable, and subsequently watches another curbside customer receive immediate attention, it naturally raises questions about whether the process was being managed consistently. I would appreciate it if management could review what occurred with this order, including the curbside service interruption, the handling of customers waiting for curbside pickup, and the incorrect deli portion of my order. I am not seeking to unfairly characterize any individual employee; I would simply like the circumstances reviewed so that future customers do not have a similar experience. And two employees, Ricky and Kaitlyn went absolutely above and beyond to help me with my situation. They most likely saw that I was a bit stressed out at the self checkout line and Ricky even offered to buy my daughter a candy of her choice. Kaitlyn was very polite and reassuring, she let me know not to worry and she tried to make my daughter feel better. What could've been a mortifying experience (still was a little bit) Ricky and Kaitlyn made it so much better. Please give them a raise and/or give them the praise they deserve. Thank you!!

So, one day when I was out dress shopping, I took my maid of honor with me to Publix. I met with Mary, the Aprons Event Planner and she was soooo nice & so helpful! She took me to meet with their flower arrangements artist Barbara and she was fantastic! She has an excellent eye & is very creative. She gave me some great suggestions for decorating for my outdoor wedding!! In fact, both Mary & Barbara gave me great advice and lots of ideas! So, I decided to use their floral department for all of my arrangements and I was not disappointed!!! They did an outstanding job on everything from my bouquet to the maid of honors flowers to the arrangements on the tables & the ceremony flowers & boutineer for the groom and best man and celebrant. I decided to go with a restaurant to cater the dinner, but I used Publix to cater the hors d'oeuvres and they did a phenomenal job!! They were on pointe with everything and delivered plus had a great price point! I was very pleased with all that they did! Publix, you turned a truly devoted Harris Teeter fan into a truly devoted Publix fan!

The one at SouthPark is about the same size but more of a challenge to get in/out of since it's in the midst of the SouthPark traffic. I was tasked with the purchase of the Christmas Turkey. My mission: to find a fresh NOT frozen whole turkey, about 12 pounds, won't expire before 12/25, organic and NOT a Butterball brand. A challenging mission you might say but I felt like I was up to it. The Thanksgiving birds where purchased at the Peach Stand in Fort Mill. We got two of them and they were exceptional, two birds easily fed 30 hungry people. Sadly, they had only the frozen ones that were left over from Thanksgiving. After several google searches and calling around, I ended up here. There must have been about a 1/2 dozens birds that all fit the bill though most of them were more in the 13 to 15 pound range. Size matters here because it's going in a deep fry cooker over propane with limited capacity. I took some photos and reviewed it with the Chef and got a 'thumbs up AND a 'smiley face' emoji. The countdown to Christmas is on!

I looked in the regular section and while I was looking, Noelle introduced herself and asked if she could help me find anything. I asked if they had the gluten free cake and she went to the back and brought me some options that they had. She was so kind and thoughtful to take the time to look for me even though they were close to closing. Customer service like this is why I choose to come to Whole Foods rather than a different store, even though the prices are kinda steep. Thank you Noelle!!! Also I wish they put carrots in their vegetable sushi, that would be the best thing ever.
