As a regular Kroger Meijer and Walmart shopper thw first thing i notice is how fabulous these carts roll. The store is bright and clean. There are employees who great you and as if they can help you locate items. While you are paying for this extra service it is a lovely addition to the shopping scene in Fayette County. 3/23/26 I came here for lunch, as I remember how amazing their pub subs are when I used to live in Florida. I was beyond excited to step into a Publix and enjoy some delicious wholesome food. I was in line for a quite a bit at the deli, but I ordered their chicken tender wrap. It was pretty huge, and very filling. I was only able to finish one half of the wrap, and had plenty of leftovers for dinner. This is a great value of less than $9 to fill up for lunch and even dinner. I loved my experience here and defiantly plan to come back for future foodie adventures to try out other options. The staff here is very friendly and I absolutely love how nice everything looks inside. From the ease of the grocery carts, to the brightness of the store esthetics. I will most definitely be coming back and enjoying the various goodies that Publix has to offer. read more

I know Publix from Florida so went to the opening of our first store in the Bluegrass to explore the Kentucky version. Busy as expected. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. First time to the store very clean the staff was very helpful smiles on their faces when I was walking to my car and I was done with my basket. A young man asked me if he could take it for me. Very polite and pleasant. Definitely leaves a good impression. I love all of the buy one get one free items that they have. They have a very large selection. Some prices are a little too high for me but the buy one get one free makes up for it. I will definitely be doing my shopping at Publix. read more

I ordered devil eggs for pickup for Thanksgiving. Ordered them three weeks ago, got a call less than 24 hours before I was to pick up the product that they canceled my order. The excuse was did not get all the items on the delivery truck. First and last time we will be using Publix. If the prices are higher, the service should be better. I admit... I went to check out the new Publix.. but not on the first day! But Day 4 was still crazy... with the Deli line being preposterous! I'm very familiar with this store from my Florida and Hilton Head forays and I actually enjoy the ones there. This one in Lexington, though huge and nicely laid out, seems to be lacking some of the items I'm used to.. especially in the international and juices aisles. Prices, as expected and as per standard, are slightly higher than Kroger and Meijer. But I have to say that the best part of the whole experience is the super friendly and helpful staff! 2 thumbs up for them. read more

Ordered a half sheet cake from them. The writing was not in cursive, was not level at all, and looked like a middle schooler wrote it. I bumped my review from a 1 to a 2 star because they redid the cake and the writing was a lot better. But everything was way off center and the roses are small and flat. Decided to visit the new store in citation area. The deli was super busy at the hot bar area so I was not able to see what all they were serving. They had a station where you can order sandwiches and have a pick up line for on-line orders. The store seems to have a good selection of meats and seafood. I even seen specialty cuts of meats such as beef neck bones and lamb neck bones. The bakery has delicious looking cakes that I will definitely buy. The international isle has several Hispanic foods but I have seen better selections of Asian foods at another store. I will definitely come back once the crowd dies down some. Went to the grand opening of Lexington's first Publix. Store layout is amazing! But my focus was the bakery! Fresh baked goods of all kinds. Even had hot baked good , cookies, brownies cinnamon rolls! Everything purchased was fresh and delicious! The employees are AMAZING! Very friendly and helpful. As a Floridian who has lived in Lexington for the past 3 years, my little Florida heart was so excited to stop into Publix once I heard it was open. Went by today and was delighted that they had the kid friendly car carts. The kids loved it. We didnt want to wait in line for a sub but got 2 premade sandwiches (my favorite ones from Florida were here, a Cuban and turkey gouda!), also got (cold section) buffalo tenders as well as regular tenders, stopped by the hot case and got 2 bags of their potato wedges. No need to wait in line for some great food. Oh how I missed their wedges. Got a few groceries but will stick to Meijer or Walmart for shopping shopping. Publix is expensive. less than Whole foods but more than the aforementioned. It was nostalgic for me mostly. The biggest difference between this location and any of the ones from back home was the customer service. Friendly employees! That was the biggest indication that we hadn't been transported back to any ole Publix in Florida, nice people and it was super clean. It is brand new though but Publix is typically a very clean store. Not Kroger-like at all even when in sketchy areas. Recommend for some tenders or a sandwich (not necessarily a sub, check out the cold section) & the bogo but I wouldnt recommend going here for all your shopping, unless you're rich rich. then it's probably fine. read more

Finally made it to Publix!! The employees are so nice and helpful. The customer service is amazing there . We went on a Thursday and got there a little after 9 am. After hearing how the lines could be long to get a sub I decided to order ahead. I really appreciate the option to either pay on the app or pay at the time of pick up. When we walked in the store we bee lined for the deli. My friend got a turkey sub. I told the woman at the counter that I had ordered ahead and my pick up time was for 11am. The deli manager was nice enough to tell me they could make it on the spot. It wouldn't have been a big deal to walk around the store until my pick up time. In terms of prices for the subs they're definitely on par with Subway. The difference is they don't skimp on anything! I got the bacon ranch chicken tender sub with lettuce and tomato. I literally couldn't fit my mouth around it. I did order a full sub but only ate half and I was stuffed until well into the night. I also got a free bar cake for my birthday. You can choose between ice cream or cake as long as you sign up with the app. I got the cookies and cream bar cake. It was so good! My friend got the gouda Mac and cheese from the grab and go section. She also got butterscotch pudding, cookies and cream and the chocolate peanut butter pudding. (All of them were really good) And the butterscotch pudding was on sale. They have a lot of bogo items. I got Paul Newman salsa 2/5 . They also had oatley oatmilk bogo. I was taken back going into the ladies room and walking into the handicap stall to see a sink apparently that's the norm for Publix. I'm not complaining. I really enjoyed our first outing to Publix and we'll be back again! Just a tip it's definitely better to go in the mornings midweek. We didn't have to wait to check out. read more

It was good to have a new grocery in town. This Publix is located near our house and was a fast drive to come to this location. The store was bright and clean and the items were displayed nicely. I bought a cake and it was airbrushed like it was done by a six year old it was waves and it was supposed to be 3D waves but instead it was just airbrushed with sugar and it was looking like something that I made in 3rd grade. Tasted good though. read more

Publix recently opened and I had a pleasant first experience. All of the cooked food looked fresh, everything was well stocked and I really liked the olive bar. The meat department was very helpful and friendly as well. Their filet mignons weren't as thick as I prefer and they offered to cut one thicker for me. read more

Publix has great deli items and other things besides it being a little expensive its a great place.

I don't think I have ever seen the advertised isle price match the scanned price in this store. The price in the isle is ALWAYS $1-$2 dollars less than what rings up at check out. read more

Started shopping here after many disappointing experiences with other grocery stores in the area. First of all, the store is immaculately clean. Every employee not only acknowledges you but is also engaging, an art that has been lost these days. Secondly, I save a significant amount of $$ and the quality is excellent. Shout out to Adam M, who actually took initiative to CHECK MY EGGS before they were bagged- no cashier has ever done this and to Shelbie, who did a great job bagging and offering to take my groceries to the car. So just left lexingtons new publix grocery and used the self checkout for my 4 items which I normally do. Being in a hurry I didn't read the small green sticker saying card payment only which I found out is the only way to pay at the self checkouts here. After apologizing and asking the clerk if she could help me she very unpolitely said she would take me to customer service to pay and then grabbed my bag and told me she'd have to carry my things for me. She stood in line with me and my items before rudely tossing them on the counter and telling the clerk "she has cash". The whole experience made me feel like a criminal in some way or less than. Definitely needs to be a better way to handle this. read more
