I really like stopping at this Kroger location when I need to stock up on some groceries for the week. It isn't really set up to be a "I'll just swing in real quick to grab a loaf of bread" kind of place unless you go during a slow time. All the employees here have been very helpful helping me find any item I'm looking for. Great produce department with a good variety of sales from week to week. The layout of the store seems to "flow" nicely- as compared to other locations (looking at you, Lowry Ln Kroger). This Kroger location offers free snacks for kids, salad bar, balloon kiosk, Starbucks, as well as a great deli & bakery. Great place to grocery shop when you have time to deal with the traffic & parking!

The NEW Kroger is awesome. I had to check it out on the first day it opened. I live downtown and was greatly anticipating the grand opening so I would again have a grocery store close to home. I was pleasantly surprised at their great selection of produce, prepared foods, sushi, seafood!!! This store has a great sushi selection, the best I've seen at a Kroger. They also have a lot of prepared foods and food stands for a quick lunch or dinner. Athenian Grill has a food cart in the store which is great! I'm usually not a big fan of chain stores and restaurants, but Kroger offers a good organic produce selection and other organic foods, making it a good option when the farmers market just isn't convenient.

This Kroger is cool, the prices are fair and it's a great place to see people if that's your thing. I was told 5600 people a day go in and out of this per day! WOW! I've been able to find most everything I've been looking for here and they have a good deli like most Kroger's. Come Check it out.

It's back! Bigger and better than ever. It's Lexington's first grocery store with a parking garage on the roof and an escalator. I've been to a grocery store in Chicago and parked on the roof, so this wasn't the first time that I've witnessed this concept. In Lexington though, this is a first! I was there on opening weekend and it was a madhouse. Probably most if the customers were just people like me, and this won't be our usual neighborhood grocer. I was thinking that it was going to be a mega Kroger, but it's not. We will still have to go to the Beaumont and Richmond Rd Krogers if we insist on buying clothing or furniture from Kroger. Things that they do have that I took note on were a Starbucks, a create your own cupcake section, and a floral department. Other than the those and the rooftop parking, it's a typical neighborhood Kroger, but this one is close to UK campus.

I really like that they hired local artists to paint murals, and added parking to the roof.

My young companions and I did end up browsing the aisles to see what products the store offers. I must admit the cleanliness of the store was definitely a positive. The aisles and shelves are very organized and things are grouped in such a manner that it makes items easier to locate. Although they did have Thai Basil in stock, it was old and of poor quality so I did not purchase it. Quite a bit of the produce was not in the best shape. I did however purchase a non-produce item. The staff member at the cash register was very kind, interacted with genuine consideration of the young children whom were with me, answering several of their questions. He then offered them both a Pocky snack free of charge for both of them, they were ecstatic! If I am in the area and have need of non-produce items, then I will return to this establishment.

Condiments I've never seen before , mochi , ice cream. Fish balls (not too sure about trying those simply because I'm not a fish fan). They also have a tank with HUGE crabs. I will say this I'm born and raised in New York and spent a lot of time in China Town and I'm accustomed to the smell of fish. So if you're not you may be surprised when you walk in. The woman at the register was friendly and smiled when we walked in. The store itself was well organized and clean. As for the pricing it was definitely reasonably.

Funny enough, we have MORE fun shopping at Aldi, talking to other patrons and then figuring out what our bill would have been elsewhere. She's particularly fond of German cookies so every Christmas season I go and buy her a bunch of German cookies. They also had frozen apple strudel which I probably should have gotten. They have the Kringle too. They have beef schnitzel but I was looking for pork which I didn't see unfortunately. I did end up with some cooca dusted truffles and dark chocolate covered marshmallows as well. In the Aldi's "find" isle they had some really nice gifting ideas. Such as a fairly thick blanket but it wasn't what I was looking for. The sled candles were super cute as well.
