I often stop at this location after work or on a day off to grab odds and ends . This trip around I found swedish pearl sugar which I desperately needed so I could make margarita marshmallows. I was so surprised to find it at Kroger's of all places . I also found the bread I wanted . The produce is always good when I go and grab some and the variety is always a bonus . I was lucky enough to get some persimmons a while back which I've never had before . I have to say my favorite part of the store is the bakery . I always find something in the discounted section. (Even though I don't need it). I keep buying muffins to bring to work for the girls . Today they had Kroger's ice cream for 1.99 with the digital coupon (gotta love those! ) I also got some liquid Tide clean boost for 9.99 with the digital coupon. And some a big container of fresh strawberries for 2.88. Last week I got cashew milk for 3.99 . The deals are there ! This time around the store wasn't very busy which kind of surprised me but it was a quick in and out which I was happy with. I probably stop there at least twice a week and always manage to find something I either need or want sometimes it's an impulse buy like cake . read more

I ordered from Kroger Leestown Road through Instacart at 1:40pm, I received a text stating my order would be here at 2:36pm. I was home all day. I kept checking my doors, but no groceries were delivered. I contacted them and they ended up refunding my money. I will never order through Instacart ever again. Although I live in an apartment complex that's huge I specifically listed my apartment instructions so they should have had no problem with delivery. read more

Standard type Krogers. The staff here is very nice and helpful for what they do although they could stand to have a few more service checkouts open during the busy hours. My only complaint would be the deli hours. They rarely open on time, always closed early. Maybe open the deli when the store opens? Covid is over so get back to how it was pre-2020. If not then have a better selection of the presliced cold cuts to choose from. Everything is a half pound and cut overly thick. For people that shop early or late, its pretty inconvenient. read more

Surprised I haven't reviewed this Kroger. Being next to the university, large, and open long hours, it is a regular spot for me for basic groceries. I find their selection of things like hummus, tofu, and fresh bread to be unimpressive. Their vegetable selection is hit or miss, but I have found good berries there frequently. They have a ton of snack foods and drinks, and their selection does make some sense for a college town. They have self-checkout and a ton of parking, but it's such a prominent place that it can still get crowded. read more

This is my neighborhood grocery shopping go-to. I love that after the construction, there are much more choices and range in products that I could buy. From flowers to lobsters and gourmet cheese to organic veggies they have got so much more to offer. Sometimes their meat especially pork can be not the best quality so watch out for that. But definitely utilize their tasting section and sale section all around the place. There's extra parking on the rooftop where you can park and slide down to get your things by escalators and elevators. Service is good. Employees are mostly friendly and very helpful. They change their set up from time to time so if you cannot find the item you are looking for in the usual spot, ask an employee! I really like stopping at this Kroger location when I need to stock up on some groceries for the week. It isn't really set up to be a "I'll just swing in real quick to grab a loaf of bread" kind of place unless you go during a slow time. All the employees here have been very helpful helping me find any item I'm looking for. Great produce department with a good variety of sales from week to week. The layout of the store seems to "flow" nicely- as compared to other locations (looking at you, Lowry Ln Kroger). This Kroger location offers free snacks for kids, salad bar, balloon kiosk, Starbucks, as well as a great deli & bakery. Great place to grocery shop when you have time to deal with the traffic & parking! read more

The NEW Kroger is awesome. I had to check it out on the first day it opened. I live downtown and was greatly anticipating the grand opening so I would again have a grocery store close to home. I was pleasantly surprised at their great selection of produce, prepared foods, sushi, seafood!!! This store has a great sushi selection, the best I've seen at a Kroger. They also have a lot of prepared foods and food stands for a quick lunch or dinner. Athenian Grill has a food cart in the store which is great! I'm usually not a big fan of chain stores and restaurants, but Kroger offers a good organic produce selection and other organic foods, making it a good option when the farmers market just isn't convenient. read more

This Kroger is much much smaller than some of the others in the area but, so far, has not let me down on selection of fresh quality food items. The parking lot appears small as well but there is another lot on the roof, yes the roof, with elevators and escalators to get you down to the store. The only negative I've experienced is with using your own reusable shopping bags. Most Kroger locations I've shopped at seem very annoyed when using these and this location is no different. read more

Tucked into a tight lot off a busy road, this Kroger is kind of huge. And strangely small at the same time. With the oddest layout ever. I'm not quite sure what to think. First, the parking lot is kind of squished, but at least there's a parking lot! Most of the other shops in this area require street parking so the lot is awesome to have. In addition, there's a small parking garage on the roof to supplement the lot. Fantastic. So, Kroger itself: I walked inside the door to the cosmetic area. Which was next to the frozen foods. And birthday cards. Or something like that. Then there was the pet food, and snacks, and the cold beer cave in the middle of the store. Beyond that was the fresh produce and the deli. The produce/deli area made sense to me but the rest of the store seemed oddly... disarrayed. Not messy, just... in a strange order. I didn't understand it. Oh, and there's a Starbucks in there somewhere too. But hey, the selection was awesome! So many fantastic beers and cheese and snacks and foods to choose from. I kind of wanted to hang out in here for awhile just to look at everything (and drool a bit... I was hungry at the time). The one thing they don't have: all the housewares that make other locations a mega Kroger. This is not mega Kroger. It's just food. Which is OK, though, since grocery stores are just for food anyway. We found all the things we were looking for pretty quickly and didn't wait long in the checkout lane. All the workers were cheerful and looked glad to be there. Overall, a very pleasant experience. It's back! Bigger and better than ever. It's Lexington's first grocery store with a parking garage on the roof and an escalator. I've been to a grocery store in Chicago and parked on the roof, so this wasn't the first time that I've witnessed this concept. In Lexington though, this is a first! I was there on opening weekend and it was a madhouse. Probably most if the customers were just people like me, and this won't be our usual neighborhood grocer. I was thinking that it was going to be a mega Kroger, but it's not. We will still have to go to the Beaumont and Richmond Rd Krogers if we insist on buying clothing or furniture from Kroger. Things that they do have that I took note on were a Starbucks, a create your own cupcake section, and a floral department. Other than the those and the rooftop parking, it's a typical neighborhood Kroger, but this one is close to UK campus. read more

Let me begin by saying, I'm a Trader's Joe girl. Occasionally, I'll venture to Kroger's for a single item I might need on a particular day. However, the new and improved Kroger on Euclid with additional rooftop parking, which had it's grand re-opening yesterday, is quite nice for Chevy Chasers. It was heavily staffed with overly friendly employees for the occasion, with free samples and give-aways. I noticed a roll-back on many prices, but I wonder if that is only to induce shoppers to frequent the new store. Mr. Pappas of nearby Ahenian Grill is supposedly expanding, with a kiosk in the store. While I like AG, I'm not sure I would want to have lunch in this cavernous Kroger, when I could head right up the street to the restaurant. The daily made fresh sushi is a nice touch, for takeout, and samples were quite good. All in all, a pleasant experience . . . . . . . . . . but, I'm still a Trader Joe's girl! read more

I'm from out of town and have been to many Krogers before but this one was by far the most unorganized and oddly put together store. Many items were also out of stock. The frozen pizza was next to dry items, the produce section was confusing, and the snacks were next to the picnic plates instead of more snacks, making replacements difficult. The workers were very helpful and nice, however. read more

This is a very well managed Kroger. One of my first jobs ever was working at a Kroger back in Elizabethtown so I tend to notice things like how well the product on the shelves are stocked and if the lines are kept in 'one plus one'. One thing I will say is that none of their baggers know how to bag. And when I say none I mean absolutely none of them. I've even had a front end supervisor mix my meats with cleaning products and I had to tell him not to do it and why not to do it. The store itself is very well maintained and the produce is very well organized and well kept. I love their cheese bar section, and check out the deals their on a weekly basis. The staff they have at the meat department is very friendly and pretty knowledgeable of what they are selling. The only real big negative factor is that it is a pain to get in and out of this place but I think that's just based on the location. All in all it's a well kept up grocery store, the baggers just need to watch what they are doing as coming from someone who use to be one, it's not a hard job. A little care and attentiveness is how you move up. I come here a weekly and every single one does it wrong to the point I just choose self check out now. I'm sure it's likely a huge part of a lack of training as I've even seen supervisors their bag incorrectly. read more

I can't believe I'm reviewing a Kroger. I was always more of a Meijer girl, but this Kroger has won me over. It's not just that it's shiny and newer, it's NICE and the workers are so friendly! Everyone acts like they're happy to be there and happy to help you. Every time I go I'm amazed by the friendliness. I love those under $5 cheese bins and the clearance bread cart. I really like that they hired local artists to paint murals, and added parking to the roof. This grocery was really thought out. read more

NY can keep it's bodegas- I miss giant stores that have lots of variety! However, I did notice that some food items are cheaper in NY, which I've heard is not uncommon because NY sells such high quantities of produce. I used to frequent the store when I was in college, but this update is really nice! I was amazed to see what they now offer- there is SO much more variety than before. I even saw Cheerwine, the South Carolina soda. Every type of item had at least three brands. My husband even gasped out loud when he saw his favorite brand of Southeast Asian Ramen, IndoMie. We used to have to drive to Cincinnati for the stuff or ask friends who were visiting from NY and Chicago to bring it! One drawback is that it does take longer to get through the store, whereas before you could just zip through it. read more

I really enjoy shopping at this Kroger location. There's a wide variety of food goods, and I particularly enjoy how much variety have have for organic fruits and vegetables! Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I docked a start because the layout of the store only makes sense if you come in on the produce side, and then proceed through the store counter-clockwise. If you come in by the pharmacy, and try to shop clockwise, you'll end up with seriously melted frozen foods. It can also be VERY busy during the school year with UK student shoppers, so if you don't want a craze of students slowing you down, plan for off hours to get your shopping done. Their parking lot is much too small, but I appreciate that there's a parking deck. I'm not sure many people know about it because I've seen folks endlessly circling the parking lot for a spot before. Great store right by campus. My daughter frequents this store to stock her dorm room. It's close enough for her to walk or ride her bike. I also appreciate that she can use her student plus account to pay for her purchase. Every time I've been in the store it is clean and well stocked. The produce always looks good and they have a great selection of sushi. It's honestly the nicest Kroger I've been in. read more

I frequent this Kroger location. It's the closest one to the UK campus. They are a pretty typical supermarket, and their prices seem to be about average on most things. They don't have as much stuff as some other Kroger stores have. In particular, they don't have as much international food as other locations. They have a lot of manager's specials, especially in bakery goods and meats. Watch out for these good deals. They have a shopper card, which gets you a little bit of a discount too. They have a decent beer aisle for a store of that size. They have a florist. They sell sushi. They have a decent-sized organic/fair trade section. I get the impression that their friendliness knows a bound, but I haven't crossed it yet. The cashiers are friendly, and the management is competent and responsive. The store is neat and organized. Self checkout is usually fast. read more

Would like to say the employees here rock. I went with my brother to help him out with his first time using a WIC card in purchasing baby formula. Unfortunately they didn't have the right size for it to qualify on his card (even though they did carry the brand of forumla) but the cashiers Myra and Breana that helped him out were no more than amazing, patient and suuuuper hepful considering we held up the line... As I was pursuing to the checkout line with my niece, I realized the line was taking too long so I decided to check out number 21 checkout line. There was no one in line so I told my niece to bring my 2 items over. An older gentleman with a fully stocked shopping cart comes right behind me, and as my niece approaches, Katherine and Patricia, the Kroger employees say" oh sir I'll take you first." I was very disappointed and angry because I was in line first and only had 2 items. This is very unprofessional! I was very unsatisfied with my service. read more

I haven't been to this Kroger for several years when the side of my Honda Accord got punctured going up that narrow ramp as I tried to move over for an SUV coming down the other way. There was a rusty bolt that protruded from a side railing not visible to the driver near the bottom of the ramp that caught the side of my car and made a gash all along one side of my car from front to back. When I went into the store an employee told me that wasn't the first time it happened, and when I went to get my car repaired, believe it or not, the guy at Honda said he had just done body work for another car the previous week for the exact same type of damage from that same ramp. Kroger took zero responsibility (of course) and my insurance went up since I made a claim - the body work was thousands of dollars. I've been shopping at other Krogers around town since then. Today I just noticed their Simple truth brand Organic 2% milk contains anchovies and tilapia! SAY WHAT? OK I just noticed this is called 2% Omega but I had never purchased this intentionally, it looks like 2% milk to me. No way do I want to be drinking disgusting farm raised tilapia in Organic milk. Super gross Kroger! Who would even know unless they took the time to read the label, which is not something you think to do when you are buying MILK, organic MILK no less. Are these organic tilapia? In any case I thought maybe yelp would be a good way to alert people. I don't take vitamins by the way fish oil or any others. read more

There's a lot that I like about this Kroger: they often (but not always) have free snacks for kids, staff seem friendlier and more knowledgeable than the employees at other Kroger stores, they have a lot of prepared foods, and the store layout makes sense to me. The parking lot can be chaotic and I wish the snacks for kids for always available (when I arrive to grocery shop with both of my young children who are hoping for a snack and they don't have them that day, our trip immediately becomes much more challenging and stressful). This is definitely a nicer Kroger though, and I'm happy to shop here when in the area. read more

The new Kroger is simply Awesome! Very inviting atmosphere and the layout is great. The place is not too big like some of their other superstores. The people are very friendly and have a cheerful demeanor. They had all the things I needed. Glad this Kroger is open again and I think it is a great enhancement to the neighborhood. read more

The planning around this Kroger is horrendous. The parking situation is awful and I work a block away but refuse to shop here (other than the 2 times I regretfully already did). There should more entrances and exits for this Kroger. It creates dangerous traffic situations on Euclid and they even have a cop sitting out in the turn lane most days, I guess trying to prevent an accident. And on days when a cop isn't there, people almost get T-boned by people trying to get out of their parking lot! It is a huge mess and it is just irresponsible. Also, the layout in the store is not the best. It is near impossible to just run in to grab a quick few items. I hate everything about this store. read more

Love the new Kroger! I have also tried the click list pick-up service at the Richmond Road location and it is phenom! Well worth the $5 to order online with my recipes and pick up in 5 minutes, curb-side. I think this will lead to lower prices in the long run as kroger saves on overhead. I blame myself. I should have made sure the cashier gave me all of my bags when I checked out. But when you get rushed through the checkout line and the cashier doesn't check to make sure you got all your stuff it's her fault too. So now I'm out of six bucks worth of bacon and trying to decide whether it's worth the aggravation to drive back to the store, have the police officer direct me into the lot, slowly make it to the ramp because there's no parking at ground level, go downstairs to find out where my bacon went, go back upstairs and slowly,ever so slowly try to get out of the lot. You know, when you have to have the police directing traffic into your parking lot, maybe you didn't plan the layout very well. Or I can go to rite aid and pay 5 times the price for crap bacon. Screw this krogers. It shouldn't take half an hour to pick up four items. read more

The Kentucky Deaf Blind Project (KyDBP) recently collaborated with Kroger on Euclid to develop a unique learning experience during University of Kentucky's Deaf Blind Projects Expanded Core Curriculum Camp. Kroger's Sarah Allen worked closely with project staff to make the shopping event memorable for all participants. Students decided what they would cook, made a grocery list, and arrived at Kroger ready to spend their money. Ms. Allen had prepped her staff and planned with them to provide lunch for students, staff, therapists, and interveners, etc. What a feast! Everyone ate, and started shopping. The staff took time to answer questions from our students, help them figure out where to locate needed items, and gave each of us an extra smile. It was one of the highlights of the week so THANKS KROGER ON EUCLID. Your willingness to go the extra mile will not be quickly forgotten. read more
