Visited a Publix to see if there was any major differences compared to other grocery stores in the area. This grocery store had staffers corraling shopping carts early in the morning. The store was clean, and the people working were friendly and helpful. The bakery was decent and prices were favorable. To take advantage of the frequent buyer card, you have to download their app and use your phone number compared to filling out a form, getting a physical card. Overall, a decent experience and they do want people to bring their own bags but won't penalize you if you forget.

Best looking coffin cake!

This review is for the bakery. My husband purchased a coffin 50th birthday cake. There was nothing in the order book for a coffin cake. The lady at the counter told my husband that she could make it. This cake was beautifully crafted. To the lady who made this awesome cake, I thank you! It's my favorite cake hands down. Go to Publix and buy a cool cake.

I love the prepared foods section. Highlight is the fried chicken. Also got their cheesecake for a birthday and it was so soft. There was no graham crust but I honestly didn't miss it.

Don't chop your wood like Pa Olsen on Little House on the Prairie. You can get it here, join us in the 21st Century.

Publix is new to my little town in the southern end of North Carolina, but I have experienced this chain in Georgia. I think this is a flagship store, because I don't remember them being this amazing in Georgia. This store is indeed something to write home about. They made a grand entrance into Concord with a big, beautiful store. Outstanding customer service and the best parking lot any one could ask for. They offer hot foods that are delicious. Salads, soups and fresh sandwiches made in the store, and a bakery with the most sinfully delicious offerings allowed by law! I have never experienced service at this level in my humble, middle class life. Color me impressed. They offer cooking demonstrations for weekly recipes for their Publix Apron Program, which is like Blue Apron, but more affordable. As if all that wasn't enough, they have an enviable wine section. This Publix has an international section that is completely unrivaled by any store in Concord, NC. We need many of these items in my home, as my husband is from Europe, and when I lived there I developed a fondness for some of these nibbles. Arguably, the best part of patronizing Publix is you will never spend your valuable time waiting to be checked out. They have quick checkout with a smile! The associates will even unload your items into your car! Try to tip them, and instead they tip YOU with a coupon valid for your next visit. Sweet! They left no detail out of the upgraded shopping experience. Shopping here is a pure pleasure until you consider the prices. All this service comes with a premium price tag. So rather than going here for weekly shopping, I go here for the international fare and rare bakery treats. For my budget Publix is an magnificent, indulgence.

Clean, brightly lit, bathrooms were spotless. When I want soup, Publix is always really good. Sure enough, hot and delicious vegetable soup was available. Friendly employees, lovely fresh produce, loads of choices. Watch how the frozen food cases light up as we walk up, such fun!

This is my favorite grocery store of ALL TIME!!! You can't buy what Publix has going on in here! People are friendly and just flat out nice! A smile and small talk too. I go here so much I know about some people's families. It is literally like a small town feel . The food here is beyond awesome! Their salad bar crushes Harris T. It isn't even on the same playing field. I drive pass the Harris T. just to come here for my lunch. The produce and meats here are serious some the best as it is comparable to the quality of Whole Foods or EarthFare. Maybe I am bias but I actually like going here. Try it! You will not regret it! A smile goes a long way Walmart!

I highly recommend!…read more Now I'm going to officially share my secret: Compare Food has a hot food bar, and this is where I get my oxtail plates! They are reasonably priced and extremely delicious. The service is always prompt and friendly, and the ambience of the entire store is always squeaky clean. I love this Compare Foods location. They have so much to offer from their baked goods section, hot foods, fresh fish, wonderful selection of tropical produce. Yesterday I went and visited to get me two oxtail plates and I did come towards the closing time of the hot food bar so there was not a lot of options. I was OK with it because they had enough oxtail and I was grateful for. I got one plate of oxtails, white rice and plantains and my second plate was oxtails, Spanish rice, and plantains. They also have a fresh juice option behind the hot food bar, and all of their fresh juices are excellent. I love the mango and soursop. Those are my two favorite. I highly recommend you go and support our local compare foods and I hope your experience is just as as well as as mine!

So the good is they have the best price limes in all of Concord 10 limes for a dollar the bad is; everything else is a bit pricey, and the confusing is the huge jewelry and perfume kiosk in the middle of the store next to the produce. All in all, the store is clean and well stocked.

My most recent visit to The Stock Market was on a Thursday evening this past July. On a previous…read morevisit to the Concord/Charlotte area, we found The Smoke Pit when searching online for a good barbeque spot near our location. Since they are in the same building, we also discovered The Stock Market. We love the restaurant so much and returned on this trip to the area, so we also made a return trip to the butcher shop this time around. The Stock Market is located on Concord Parkway, just a few minutes off of 85. It is in its own building that is half restaurant and half meat market, but all the same entity. There is plenty of parking in front and on the side of the building. However, it seems to fill up with all of the patrons coming and going! You will have no issue locating the place, as it is clearly marked with signage. Just note that the hours for the store differ from the restaurant, with the store closing earlier. We stopped here just after 5:00 PM, and it was not terribly busy. There is usually a lot of action in the area due to the restaurant, but the market portion has never been overwhelmingly crowded when I have visited. There is a lot of signage to direct and instruct patrons to the correct side of the building for the market. After you enter on the right side of the building, you walk right into the store. This shop is definitely a true butcher shop. There are so many different types and cuts of meat. Fresh, frozen, shelf-stable, and more varieties await you. There are other select grocery items, but you would not be able to complete all of your typical grocery shopping at this one store. They also sell bones and specific items for dogs. We bought our dog a bone, and he loved it! As stated, there are fresh and frozen meat options available. The selection is great, and you are able to find a lot of different types and cuts not typically available in a traditional grocery store. Most of the meat seems to be prepared in-house, but there are also some name-brand items throughout (such as for sausage). There are a lot of options already on the shelves, but I would assume if you were looking for something specific that it could be cut and packaged right there. In the back, there is a fresh meat counter where you can pick your exact weight and have it packed right there. A deli counter is beside it, offering lunch meats and cheeses. It did not look like they produce their own lunch meats, but it is an option if you are in the store. There were also some hot, ready-to-eat items in this area too. There are signs hanging advertising the different bundles that you can buy. There is a Chicken Bundle, Beef Bundle, and Pork Bundle, which all contain 5 different varieties of the respective meat. The total weight is around 25 pounds per bundle. The Variety Bundle allows you to mix and match 5 different types of meat, each in 5 pound increments. This would be a nice way to try different types and cuts of meat or to stock up your freezer. The prices here are decent and comparable to any other meat store. They had a deal on select packages that you could mix and match to get 5 packages for $29.99, presumably presenting some savings. There was also a discount freezer in the rear of the store with items marked down to half off. Though, for the quality of meat and vast selection, the prices here are not too bad. Each time I have visited the store, the staff has been kind and helpful. There are cashiers up front, as well as deli and counter staff in the back ready to serve the customers coming in. We have enjoyed stopping into The Stock Market when we find ourselves eating at The Smoke Pit. It is a nice butcher shop with a good amount of variety and fresh items. The prices are fair, and all of the staff is friendly. Would recommend giving this spot a try if you are local to the area!

Attached next to their bbq joint is this butcher shop with a wide range of meat, seafood and bulk frozen foods. They have everything from gizzards, livers, feet to traditional cuts. Prices aren't bad, but depending on your items the bill can add up quick. I'm a fan of the pick 5 for $40.00. Portions are slightly low but overall a good value. They offer larger packages that I certainly will try in the future.
