Big bubbles!…read more (Almost) Every weekend, Barry creates the largest bubbles outside his Forget Me Not Factory toys and collectibles store, downtown Ellicott City MD. He brings the fun, often (always?) with a tall top hat. If you're asking, yes, he sells various bubble-makers and his own Barry's Bubbles solution in the three story main street store. The store is full to bursting with unique, especially magical, toys. Rumor has it there's a player piano on the top floor! With the drop of a coin, you are the player piano player!

After living in the area for years, I always passed by the whimsical exterior. I finally ventured in for the first time and wish I had done so sooner. It not only has the charm and magicalness of walking into a witch's cottage or a fairy garden shop, but is also a time capsule where you can find calendars from 2007 with whimsical fairies that you can still buy today. In other places, I would absolutely be put off by the old merchandise, but in a place like Forget Me Not Factory, it absolutely fits the vibe of the establishment, and I actually really enjoyed finding old things for sale there. It felt like stepping into the past, and I cannot wait to go back. Whether to find new items for my garden or supplies to make my next Ren fair costume.

He spent two hours with me walking through mattress options, educating me on differences, and helping me identify the best fit for both my needs and budget. I had not purchased a mattress in over 20 years, so this was a significant and time-intensive decision, and he approached it with patience, professionalism, and deep product knowledge. Although he was unable to place the order for delivery aligned with my move-in date, he took the extra step to locate the same mattress at a Chicago store and coordinated with Orlando to ensure I could still complete the purchase. I want to specifically recognize that despite not receiving credit for the sale after investing considerable time, James remained fully committed to ensuring I had a successful outcome. That level of customer-first service is rare and deserves formal recognition. Because of this experience, I would return to this store and work with him again for any future large purchases.
