I really wanted to support a small business for our wedding invitations. I regretted this decision almost immediately! At first, Mallory was very responsive and seemed very willing to help. WRONG! This order was a complete nightmare. Literally brought me to tears! During the proof process she sent me proofs with grammar errors and even got our wedding date wrong. Despite my efforts to communicate and be as detailed as possible. She'd reply with questions previously answered in past emails for additional proofs and explained the order had exceded the complimentary proofs. I felt that I had to settle with design due to lack of communication by her. I later received a message from Etsy that our order was moved due to address (Left no address). I messaged her immediately and feared our invitations may be lost. Mallory was no longer responsive and left me in the dark. She replied back 5 DAYS LATER. During that time I took it upon MYSELF to call every USPS and UPS on my tracking status in hope I can drive there and pick them up personally. My invitations were officially lost with no help from the seller. When she finally decided to have time to reply at her convenience she simply requested for me confirm my address and said it should be returned by usps and she will ship back like no BIG DEAL. NO URGENCY! I was expecting an update from her due to the unfortunate situation, but didn't hear back from her AGAIN. I found myself having to message her 10 days later and all she gave me was let me reach back out to usps and get back to you. At what point was she going to offer to reprint and just resend a new order? I quickly realized she wasn't if I didn't ask her to. I couldn't believe this request had to even be made by myself and not offered to make this right after her mistake of not sending our order to the right address. She finally agreed to resend our invitations almost one month later. We were so behind on our RSVP's and had to send out a blast message to try and get our guest count in time. In the end, we finally received our invitations and she took such an exciting time to drop them off to our guests to a negative one. As a bride you have a million things to worry about and you'd think as a business in the wedding industry they would handle these orders with more care. This was the most stressful inconvenience during my wedding planning experience. I'm giving one star because I have to. I hope this review helps a future bride and saves them a headache. read more

Stumbled on Mallory Hope Design in a very specific Etsy search for the perfect save the dates, within a week of placing my order she had sent over the draft for me to approve and now it's time to print. Although I didn't need labels or printing for my envelopes it's a bonus that she offers it... one stop shopping at its finest. Edit: I just received my save the dates and they are PERFECT. I ordered the magnetic save the dates and I was very nervous due to the reviews on here, but don't let them stop you from ordering. I ordered from Mallory's shop through Etsy for our baby announcement Christmas cards. I am shocked to see such a low average for her Yelp page, because she was awesome and super responsive! All of the instructions are clearly laid out on her product description and the customization process was so easy. We received our first proof one day after placing our order, and she made our minimal change and sent an updated proof the following day. Our order took 7 calendar days to print which was a little longer than expected, but we received our order 3 days after it was shipped. Total time from order date to receipt was 12 days which is not bad considering the holidays and COVID delays! The cards were nicely packaged inside a secure box and they were not bent or misshapen in any way. The quality of the cards was really nice also. It was totally worth the extra cost instead of ordering cheaper quality from a local drugstore, and you get to support a local maker. read more

Do not purchase magnet Save the Dates from this vendor! I am hoping this review saves others the trouble and unnecessary stress I had to endure. I really really wanted to support a small business especially during this time but Mallory's poor customer service does not make it worth it. I placed an order for 150 magnets and received them in early August. At the beginning, Mallory was professional (albeit a bit delayed in her responses) and helped bring my vision to life with the proof. Multiple times during the proofing process, I had mentioned that I was hoping the quality of the photo on the magnet would be clear and not grainy so I had sent over a high resolution image. Upon receiving the magnets in mid-August, the photo was grainy and unclear and the saturation was way off from the original image. The quality of the magnet appeared shiny and very cheap looking. Also, there was 15 of them with ink smudges on the photo. I emailed Mallory to let her know that unfortunately I will not be using any of these Save the Dates due to the poor quality and respectfully asked for a partial or full refund. At this point, Mallory's responses become more delayed than usual and I found myself having to follow up with her. When she finally responded, she said "Your reprinted cards without smudges are on the way. Since we're replacing the cards, we don't offer refunds as well." I felt like there was a major disconnect here as I had clearly mentioned that I would not be using the cards at all due to the poor quality - why would I want more of something that I will not use?! On top of it, some of the replacement magnets arrived damaged (folded corners, varied levels of saturation in the photos to the point where I looked orange in some, and black marks on some). I followed up with Mallory asking for a partial refund again, there was so much back and forth up to this point (so exhausting!) that I didn't even care for a full refund anymore. Since then, I have followed up with her a few times but still have not heard from her and it has been over a month so I am considering this a lost cause (sadly, that's $207.09 down the drain). I wish that Mallory put a disclaimer on her website indicating that the magnets will have compromised quality so the purchaser is fully aware of what they are getting themselves into, some side-by-side examples of the photo and printed product would be nice as well for transparency purposes. If you plan on getting magnet Save the Dates, I highly recommend using Minted as I had the opposite experience with them - they were everything a vendor should be as they had prompt responses and great communication. Above all, the quality was amazing and exceeded my expectations! Minted also often has discount codes so it is very comparable to Mallory's prices. I am SO happy with my Minted magnets and wish I had used them from the beginning. We received a lot more gifts than we expected when we eloped, and without even mentioning my previous purchase, the proof for my second purchase was exactly the same. I payed $52.88 for Birthday Invites. I placed the order on June 20th 2019. I received the automated response email the next day however, I wasn't expecting to be contacted in order for her to print. When I saw the email it was July 2nd and I responded saying yes everything was approved to print. She responded on July 3rd saying she would start printing and then ship my order. July 5th rolls around and I haven't received shipping confirmation so I sent two emails both stating that I would like to CANCEL my order and receive a refund. My RSVP was July 7th and I let her know if they couldn't be shipped July 5th that I no longer wanted the product. Again, I sent 2 emails saying I would like to cancel. I emailed her again on July 11th reminding her that I emailed her a week ago and want to make sure I am getting refunded. She finally responded to me saying "sorry I was on vacation with my family" then proceeds to tell me she can't refund me because the items have been printed. I emailed again letting her know that I had provided the information I wanted on the invites when I PURCHASED them through Etsy and that I wasn't aware that I had to provide the SAME information more than once. I never got my money back, and now I have invites that I ended up throwing away because they arrived July 11th two days before the party! She was completely unprofessional, rude, and unpleasant. I left a review on Etsy where she not once apologized for any of this but blamed me and reminded me of her 5 star rating instead. She kept my money for a product I couldn't use. She was very hard to get in contact with once she knew I wasn't happy. For printed out cardstock invites I would just do it yourself and save yourself some money. She is the reason people shop big corporations vs small business! I hope she adjusts her attitude and humbles herself and remembers that her customers are her business. read more

I also had a terrible experience with Mallory Hope Design. I originally decided to go with her because she was local and I wanted to support a local/small business. My mistake. I ordered a proof from her for a Save the Date Magnet (the proofs are digital, so you aren't actually receiving anything tangible). Mallory told me to place my entire order to receive the proof (which cost me over $200). I was assured that if I didn't like the proof, she would simply charge me for the digital proof ($28) and refund the rest. Sadly, it seems she had no intentions of ever refunding me. The proof she sent me was of a Save the Date postcard (not magnet) and my fiancé's name was completely incorrect (making a digital file useless, even if I had wanted to go through the hassle of printing a bunch of magnets on my own). My mother and I felt that these mistakes were significant enough that we couldn't trust her to actually print and address 80 Save the Dates. Communication with Mallory was originally very good (before I placed my order). Once I notified her of the mistakes and requested a refund, communication was spotty at best and then nonexistent. Her response to my notification of her errors was excuses, excuses and more excuses. She "attached the wrong file" (how many other couples in my city with the same names and wedding venue, requesting Champagne Bubbles Save the Date magnets could there possibly be). She apologized for the "miscommunication" (there was no miscommunication; she is just obviously not very detail-oriented). She never even acknowledged that I had asked for a refund. She simply sent me a corrected file (which I hadn't asked her to do). I have emailed Mallory on more than one occasion requesting the status of my refund and she has ignored me each time. I have yet to hear back from her. I currently have a claim open with my credit card company and I am in the process of submitting a claim with the Better Business Bureau. Ladies (and gentlemen), planning a wedding, bridal shower, child's birthday party, etc. is stressful and time consuming enough. Please don't take your chances with Mallory Hope Design. You, too, may deeply regret it. I originally worked with Mallory through Etsy and it was the absolute worst experience I had ever had on Etsy. I had ordered a custom Save-the-Date postcard digital print using a photo from my engagement pictures for $28. A bit pricey, but if I would have gotten what I ordered it wouldn't have been an issue at all. I received the digital print about a day after I placed my order, and I noticed that the coloring in my photo was a bit off. My original photo had very vibrant, bright colors, while the copy she gave me had very dulled and downright different color. I contacted Mallory, and while she was very good with communication, was very stubborn in that she never altered my photo and that there was NO WAY that my colors could have gotten skewed when applying my photo to what I assume was the template she used for the specific design I chose. She went on to explain that there is sometimes issues with the color preview based on my browser/computer? I had never had an issue with colors in ANYTHING else I've purchased from Etsy. She then sends me another copy of the digital copy and this time its WAY overly contrasted! All of my colors are crazy, fluorescent unusual colors, my fiance` and I were orange, etc. I, again, message Mallory to find out what happened and AGAIN has absolutely no idea what I'm talking about and that is HAS to be a computer preview issue. At this point, she's suggesting I just go ahead and print to "hope" the color comes out the way I had ordered. My fiance` and I were printing through a mass printing company and couldn't just order one to "hope" what we had ordered and already paid for came out the way we wanted. At that point, I had contacted Mallory for a refund as we couldn't use the image she provided and I was downright unhappy with the services we had gotten. She then refused to provide a refund because of the "amount of work" it took to work on my photo, when it is merely putting a photo into a template. I've even had to open a case with Etsy because she is so stubborn regarding the refund. I do find it unfortunate that $28 is worth her business' reputation, but to each their own. I have since found another shop on Etsy to use and they have been wonderful, without any "computer preview issues". Long story short, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. read more

Terrible service for custom design. I have done business with her in the past just ordering pre-designed business cards/price lists and an ad page which was okay. So, being loyal I went back to her when it was time to do my own custom branding. A month later I have 6 logos that I would NEVER use to promote my business and her response is that I either lose my money or move forward with one the the designs she created. I asked for watercolor, hand drawn calligraphy look and she sent six logos that looked like something I could've typed up in word. Don't waste your time or money! read more
