I can't really write an honest review at this time due to not enough time to see if the service is beneficial. First I must say that I pray my items will not be destroyed due to the hot weather even though I purchased the Bucket with the stuff to absorb the humidity, i guess. It was so hot I could even touch my items to organize the space. So for that I give a 2 star. I need to be able to handle the merchandise that's stored or it defeats the purpose to some degree. But the receptionist was indeed very pleasant. I don't like that I was forced to choose insurance. And now I am not sure how to cancel it. I was told I was only gonna get charged $1. But I see my account was charged $48. I hope that's for next month. I will update this review if things improve. Have a great day!!. read more

If you want a real and genuine customer service person, JENNIFER is the best! She was very attentive, friendliest (not fake) and super-helpful! I had some questions and needed assistance before I've rented my unit and Jennifer helped me from beginning to the end. When I arrived at the location, she was in the middle of her workload, but she stopped everything so she can attend to me and my requests, even answered all of my questions. She never made me feel like I was bothering her or wasting her time. Not to mentioned the price was very reasonable in this location. But Jennifer made a great and lasting impression with all the outstanding customer service she did for me. Jennifer IS THE BEST and is above the competition. I recently selected Public Storage and the day before my unit was available, I was provided with texts which included important info concerning my unit #, address, gate code, etc. when I arrived at the gate, I used the app to unlock the gate which makes accessing your storage unit very simple. When I located my unit, my lock, keys, and insurance paperwork was prepared for me. I love the professionalism and the service Public Storage provides. Thank you for making my move easy. read more

I do not recommend this place because public storage are thieves. I made a reservation online and due to the lack of information on their website, I rented a space for vehicles such as a parking lot, booked the 24th to occupy it from the 25th and on the 26th I noticed that it was not the space I needed to rent for I wanted a unit with a door, I canceled on the 26th and they told me that I no longer had a refund I didn't even get to go to the place to finish the move and I canceled as soon as I could the next day and there was no way to get the refund .they are thiefs read more

i will say that just by looks, i'm not comfortable with my things being here. when i walked into my storage space there was a rodenticide packet in the corner which tells me that there's an obvious rodent problem. the inside units are not air conditioned like they are advertised. there is an enormous gap between the ceiling and the door to the storage spaces. the walls are not finished and neither is the ceiling. definitely i'm the worst storage spot that i've been to. read more

LOOK BEFORE YOU RENT!! DISGUSTING This is not regarding customer service. This regards this facility specifically. This was the most disgusting and filthy "storage" facility I have ever seen. I use the term storage and facility very loosely. This is a DUMP, the "walls" in my so called unit are particle board and there are huge chunks missing. It looks like it was built in 1900 and has not been touched since. The doors are garbage and if I actually wanted to keep something in it which I absolutely will not, I would replace the door. I don't know how to explain this more clearly, this is a shit hole, dump, worst place I have ever been to. I have never seen a place so filthy and disgusting. This was horrible. If I had to tell someone right now, i would say run as far away from this place as you can. Do not pay to rent here. Seriously, you are charging me money to rent this place. I will be returning in the morning and speaking with the manager and getting a full refund on my move in and returning the crap lock you gave me to the unit that is outside and not climate controlled. None of the units are climate controlled it appears. HORRIBLE, GARBAGE, DUMP, I wouldn't put my trash in this unit. I have had a unit at this location for well over 10 years now. In all that time, I have never been broken into, had my belongings damaged in any way, or had trouble accessing my unit. The property has always been very clean and well maintained. Property Manager Yesenia is truly a sweet woman and such an asset to your company. She always remembers who I am, and makes it a point to ask how me AND my family are doing every time I come in. Excellent service and highly recommend. read more

Great service from Selina, manager I worked with at Winter Park FL location. She gets 5*. I only did 4 because the units were so close distance wise across from each other I had a very difficult time getting my car into the unit. Understand but just be aware if getting a unit for car storage get one that has clear exposure to drive into. read more

***Since I wrote the review, the District Manager contacted me and verified that the unused month was going to be refunded, though not immediately. I never heard back from the Regional Manager, but at least I heard back from somebody locally and from management. I did wait a little longer than what I was lead to believe in receiving the check, but at least it arrived.*** I would have loved to given this business rave reviews because the entire experience was wonderful...that is, right up to the end. Getting in was easy, all questions were answered promptly and to my knowledge, sufficiently. Well, sadly, things went sour as we were trying to determine when we were going to be able to vacate our unit, which I stayed in touch with the office letting them know of our circumstances. It was our hope to be out before the end of December, which of course was already paid in full. In fact, I had the account setup on autopay, which it took out from my account at the same time every month and never once went into the negative from the time I moved in last July. Well, due to timing issues resulting from the weather, we were unable to get all the way ready in order to empty the unit, as anticipated. This, again, was communicated to the office and I was told not to worry, that we had the first six days of the next month where we would be pro-rated the unused time after the unit was vacated. Given the nature of not having any prior issues, I went ahead and made the last payment online manually and let the office know. Here's where things get weird. We have had hired help working on things around the house for the past few weeks and used them to empty our storage unit. My mother-in-law spearheaded that project and showed them where it was on Tuesday January 5th, which was still within the threshold of being pro-rated. She later told me that when she went to return the lock, she was advised to keep it, that I had paid for it to keep, which was true, but he then said that he couldn't process the checkout because the computer was already shutoff. I called the next day on my way to work asking what needed to be done regarding the checkout and was told that everything had already been handled and that our pro-rated refund check would be mailed to us in 4-6 weeks. Slightly flabbergasted, I asked why I now have to wait that length of time versus getting it refunded to the card I had been using all along? His answer was because of the one day difference of my call falling on the "sixth day". I explained that the unit was actually emptied the day prior, on the "fifth day", and that an attempt was made to check out, but we were advised that the computer had already been shutoff for the day. So now we were being penalized strictly due to one day's difference because somebody prematurely ended their day. I have since made several attempts at trying to reach the Central Florida District Manager, but have only been successful once in talking with him, but it was brief due to the fact that I was at work. When he originally returned my call, it was from a "restricted number", which I purposely didn't answer. I didn't know it was him returning my call until he left a voicemail, and then us playing phone tag a few times before actually speaking and then he reiterating the 4-6 week cutting of the check from their HQ in California. I later followed up with their Customer Service department, which was a horrible idea because I spoke with some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with in dealing with a call center environment. One gentleman actually got so candid with me, even from the beginning of the call, that I reminded him that he was not going to speak to me in such a brash tone. Customer service, however, now tells me that I will not be getting any money back. I wasn't expecting a full month, but a pro-rated amount of the remaining unused month, which I was promised would happen, but now I'm being told that I'm getting nothing. First, I find this lack of empathy and customer focus absolutely appalling, but also to not have it as a no-brainer to make this right, given the fact that they have never had an issue with me as a customer, be it with payment, as each one was already made in full and on time. And also, they never heard a peep from me, until now that is. My advice, don't trust them when they talk to you about money. They'll apparently snake their way out of doing the right thing. Ms. Carman is excellent! I would have given her 10 stars for what she was able to do for me. The time and service she provided was outstanding. I went there to move my stuff out. But she was able to find a storage unit that did work better for me at a great price. I have had my stuff there for close to 13 years and she has been the shining star.
