I have learned that public storage facilities are scams. Rent started off at $146/month in July 2023, 5 months later $204/ month, another 6 months and $261/month, and I just received an email that they are raising it to $329/month! So, they more than doubled the rent within 2 years. But here's what makes even less sense to me...I can go on the website and book the same 10' x 20' unit for $177/month. read more

Just navigating the website to reserve a storage unit took several tries. ( and I do nearly everything online) Charges undisclosed when reserving the unit: $26 administrative fee. $15 for required insurance which can be canceled only by "reading" a long document and clicking things in a 3 part process. Purchase of lock never revealed until a call to complain about the incorrect charge on my credit card. Then I was emailed a receipt that showed $19.99 merchandise purchase. Even if I had received this receipt at the beginning of the rental I would have had no way of telling what merchandise I had unknowingly purchased. This has never showed in my online account payment history. It seems to be a local charge separate from the other payments. It was charged to my credit card along with the other Public Storage charges. The first day we moved boxes into the unit there was thick ice surrounding the doorway near our internal unit. We held onto our car door handles and anything else we could find to stay upright. There was more water pouring off the roof to add more ice. The good part: There was a heavy cart inside the door for transporting belongings and serving as a support on the ice. The unit is relatively warm and dry. My newly purchased cylinder lock seems to work well. Not enough to offset the general sleeziness of this business. read more

Great easy protected access. 1st time using the storage, did everything on line easily. Was unable to lock my unit with the supplied lock only because I did not close the latch properly. I would give it a -10 if possible. Poor customer service; no one calls back or if they do and you try to return a call you never get anyone. Leave a message they say they will resolve yet nothing ever happens. I gave notice I was moving out end of month, called the 800# and they scheduled it also, moved my stuff in the middle of the month (not the end) and yet they still charged me for the next month. I've been trying to resolve this with no results since I can't get ahold of the district manager either. I wouldn't recommend this place or rent from here again. There's better rates elsewhere with better customer service. read more

My first experience with this particular Public Storage facility was so lovely. Kathy was extremely warm and welcoming and got me setup in my unit quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately my customer service experience with them has quickly declined so much to the point that I am seriously considering renting a storage unit elsewhere. My credit card that I had setup on autopay for my storage unit was stolen a few weeks ago and in the aftermath of this combined with the busyness of the holiday season I forgot to update my new credit card information on my account. I received a call from Dennis (the property manager) about this and he notified me that I needed to update my credit card information but that I had until the 26th of January to do so. He never once mentioned a late fee or them cutting the locks on my unit. Much to my surprise I get a call this week (less than a week after the phone call from Dennis) from Verna at Public Storage telling me that a late fee has been applied to my account and that if I didn't update my payment information that they would be cutting the locks on my unit. Needless to say I was extremely distraught over this having thought that I had until the 26th to update my payment information and she said that she would have Dennis call me to discuss the matter. It is two days later and I still have not received a phone call from them. I am not a person who goes out of my way to write bad reviews for businesses but I was so disappointed with this particular situation that I felt the need to say something. There is no excuse for bad customer service especially when there are a dozen other storage facilities in the area that I could move my things to. read more

This property is very well maintained and nicely located on a relatively quiet street. The account opening went smooth and the property manger Dennis is very helpful. My only compaint is that after I had been there for less then 6 months they raised my rent over 20%. I understand that this is not a propety issue and that this was a corporate decision, however a 20% rate increase still needs to be mentioned. read more
