I rented a 7.5 x 5 unit. My monthly payment started out at 75 a month. In 3 months it went up to 97, then 4 months after that it went up to 129. 7 months after that it went up to 147 then 6 months it went up to 172. Next month it is supposed to go up to 183 so I emptied the unit. I had a unit in the basement and I have to make sure nothing is damaged from the water leak outside the facility. read more

I've only had my items in there one month and I'm on the FOURTH FLOOR! My items got wet including a brand new sofa and a it of priceless items. You can't ever reach the manager and no one seems to care! I was told they would switch units but ON MY OWN! I have a herniated disc so I hired a moving company which isn't cheap! Now I have to wait 72 + hours for a call back and my new sofa is RUINED! How on earth am I supposed to move this on my own??? What am I going to do with a mildewed sofa? They don't care! I have brand new electronics I purchased thinking they would be safe! So Now what???? I only wanted to keep it there for two months and they can't accommodate four weeks on the 4th floor! Not to mention I lost a day pay with the movers because they had a black out and the elevators weren't working! But I bet they want their monthly payments for two months of inconvenience! Recently purchased a storage unit here online. Was worried since I didn't see the unit first but it was a really good deal: $1 for the first month the 15% of each additional month. When arrived at the location we were greeted by LaToya who was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to show us the unit and explained the local procedures and hours. The unit was very clean an accessible. I wish we had known that there rental agreement requires us to carry insurance and they do not provide a lock. You can purchase one separate or one from them. read more

They say that they are open all day. The pully's that you need to use are all locked up. No matter when i go to the office, no one is ever there to give you the key. I once saw someone and she had the nerve to say "Sorry I am on my break." I had to wait to get a key for the pully. They are rude and disrespectful and they don't care about their customers. read more

We moved our stuff from Hempstead location to this location because we needed more room and we are in this area more so it's easier to stop in if we need something but since we got this unit our rent has gone up more than $70 I'm currently paying $240.00 a month so we're now in the process of looking into other storage companies to store our belongings. I would never recommend this location in fact I'll be sure to tell people not to use this storage facility because what you think you're gonna pay monthly will in fact be much higher. This is a fair warning about this storage unit! They will wait until you sign up with their special offer, then increase the price. Then when you go to leave it is basically up to the individual manager if they will only charge you part of the month even if you aren't there the entire month. Very unprofessional and company lets individual managers go unchecked. read more

Based on my experience, I have found this facility to be centrally located, clean and adequately staffed. My storage unit is roomy and well lit and the local staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to others. Three stars. However, my experience with the central customer service was a root canal - painful. When my storage unit rent was suddenly and raised significantly with only a two-week written notice, I immediately called the central number and spoke with a rep to request a one-month delay on the rent increase given my family's sudden, urgent medical expenses. I mentioned to her that I have a track record as solid tenant there for four years and always paid my bill on-time and even have paid 1 or 2 months in advance whenever possible. The rep seemed deaf to my situation and curtly said 'no' to my request. I then asked to speak to a manager. After waiting on hold for several minutes, the manager gave me a few seconds of her time and flatly said 'no' as she claimed that this facility was priced under the market rate so the increase would need to take effect immediately, no exceptions. It did not seem to matter to her that I am a good tenant, that I always pay my rent on time and was only asking for a 30-day delay on the 'surprise' rent increase given my family's medical circumstances. Did she have ice in her veins? Did she not care? Oddly enough, the company website claims that they are 'customer focus' - really? Perhaps, the CEO should speak to some of their customers like me for a reality check. Zero stars here. read more

Don't rent here. The place is secure and clean and that is where it ends. The parking to load and unload is incredibly inadequate so, be prepared to wait. There are never enough carts to use in moving your possessions. After being there one month the next email I get was, I was late on my payment and here's a $20 penalty. I keep stellar credit for all the right reasons. If they can send me that email they can send an email to tell me the payment is due - this is just a slimy business practice. I avoid using autopay features as I lose control of how much I get charged but did it here to avoid the debacle and low and behold rather than charging my credit card when the payment was due - they charged it immediately - again, slimy. There is clearly insufficient competition in this market or they would not be able to get away with this business model or business practices. p.s. I'm not the type of person that rights reviews, this is my first - for the reasons noted above. read more
