My issue is there isn't enough room in the dumpster to place the step that I placed on the ground. She then proceeds to tell me that there's a sign on the dumpster that states there's no sitting on the ground. Which there is no such charge. I have been a customer with these people for almost 10 years and the property is now RAT INFESTED !! They are telling me that the best thing they can do is give me a $25 credit for next months rent and saying nothing about the RAT INFESTATION!! This is ridiculous! My rent went from $76 a month to $198.00 and never had a problem with Rats before now you would think with the rent being this high they could afford an exterminator to fo something about this problem. DO NOT RENT FROM THERE WINCHESTER LOCATION IN MEMPHIS TN as this is where my storage is at present. All of my things are covered in RAT POOP. I would not give them a star at all but you have to give at least 1 star read more

The service was excellent. I was sent to this location from the location the poplar location (where my items are located) They were both professional and personable. They helped me with all the information I needed and even helped me to keep my items from auction when the Poplar location did nothing but sent me to the Winchester location but the ladies at this location solved my problems. They definitely kept a customer! Did I mention my things are located at the Poplar location and no one would help other than send me here. Cosha and Cris may be the best employees public storage has to offer. read more

I wouldn't recommend this storage to anyone. They tell you you have to move around their open/close times when that's the purpose of getting a storage. people have jobs, have uncertain things that could happen, any they tell you you have to work around their time. this is awful! read more

The gate to enter the property is broken and open all day. When I called with my concern about the security of the property and paying for 24/7 security, neither Customer Service nor the girl at the location were helpful. We moved out on 1/3 and they still charged us for the full month. Public Storage is horrible. read more

I just moved back to Memphis from Nashville and Chris was very helpful. This facility is very clean and I like that they have an app that will automatically open the gates for you. it is an older facility but I checked several and this seemed like the best around for climate controlled storage. read more

I purchased the lock that was required by this company, and had not touched it since I put it on almost 2 years ago. When I tried to open the lock upon jus relocating here it would not open. I was told by the very rude staff member on duty that my choices were to either wait until the middle of October for a Area or District Manager to come and remove the lock, or pay a locksmith! I had been in hotels for 3 weeks and my home was now ready for me to move into. I felt I had no option but to pay a locksmith $150, plus, I was told that I would have to purchase another, possibly defective lock, even though I was moving out of the unit. Then, almost all of locksmith's I called wanted no part of removing these locks and also wanted a fortune to come and cut it off. I had just rented another unit about a week before, when I attempted to empty that unit I ran into the same problem rude staff and a new lock that would not open, once again I was subjected to disrespect and bullying from both staff members, and told this time after the staff called the District Manager, that she would come either that same day or the next to cut the defective lock. She stated that it would probably not be that day but the next. I called just before noon the next day and was very angrily told that they told me already that it would take 7-10 business days to have the lock cut, not true! so I would again have to wait until mid-October to have that lock removed by the District Manager. Around 3:30pm I was called by the location and simply told that I could pick up my keys, I asked for what and was again snapped at, saying my lock had been cut, and to come to pick up the keys. I asked why I had not been notified to come to the storage as I was told the day before emphatically, that I would have to be present when they cut my lock, which is correct, to my knowledge, having managed storage facilities myself. Because of the lateness of this notification, I had less than 3 hours to remove my belongings before the six pm gate closures, a fact I only found out about just before 6pm on the day I rented the second unit. Because of this lack of information, I had to pay the movers to hold onto a part of my shipment because I did not know about this new gate closure time, until 5:50pm. I have rented from this company for my business, and personal needs, for decades, and I am shocked at the decline in Customer Service and Staff behavior. I have never had such aggressive and hostile behavior from a business in my entire life. I felt disrespected, disregarded, and bullied, by the shouting, arguing and angry attitude by the two staff members. Needles to say I will never rent from Public Storage in Memphis again. I still do not have all of my things out ,and have to pay movers again to go back again to retrieve my belongings. This nightmare has cost me over $400 in expenses that were directly related to me renting at this storage facility, and being treated like I had no rights. I cannot tell you how unhappy I am about this horrible experience, but I will not allow this to go, without speaking up and hopefully sparing others from this shameful location. The Movers and I were horrified that Staff would actually behave in such a confrontational, unprofessional, and rude manner. read more

Terrible customer service. one of the property manager verbally lied to me and said my rate would go back to original because I was approved; also said someone will reach out to me to let me know how much I would be approved for. next day called to follow up spoke with another property manager and she stated "I doubt she told you that" like I have a reason to sit up and lie. I let them know I would be vacating so i Wanted to continue to pay the amount I was previously paying. the chat people were no help the Renee rep said She couldn't Help Me and disconnected the chat. Glad this Is my last month in their facility. i wouldn't recommend this property. read more
