We actually first worked with facility on Cheyenne & I15 but they didn't have enough outside access units - they searched thier sister facilities and shift my reservations as well - staff at both locations were great. read more

My original review is valid, and everything with Public Storage was good until they got greedy and jacked up the price of my small, non-air-conditioned unit twice within a few months. First, they went up 20.00 to 80.00 per month, and then they sent me a notice that they were raising the price another 29.00 to 109.00 a month for a small five-by-ten unit, which was the last straw! I notified them that I would be vacating expeditiously. Of course, once I told them I would leave due to another price hike, the manager called and offered to revert to my previous price for three months. However, I found another storage facility that is brand new and only charges me 32.00 per month, a significant savings! The irony is that had public storage not become greedy, I would have continued to pay them. However, they pushed me into the arms of another storage facility. The story's moral is that sometimes it's best to keep prices where they are and continue making a profit rather than get greedy, lose a customer, and now make no profit from them. The facility is dirty, vagrant walking around, people living in the units and they have the oddasity to raise the rent twice in 1 year rent increasing from $386 to $481 a month for a 10x25 unit. I rented a unit here for about a year. When my family moved to Seattle, we left some items in storage for a couple of months. In September of 2018, I scheduled a move-out date of 9/29/18. My husband and I flew to Vegas that morning, picked up a moving truck, and proceeded to move everything out of the unit. When we were done, we removed the lock (which I still have), and went to tell the manager that the unit was empty and we were heading out for the drive to Seattle. She asked us if we would raise the rolling door to the now-empty unit, since she needed to sweep inside to get it rental ready. We did as she asked, and then said goodbye. This should have been the end of the story. Alas, today, over a year later, we went to rent a Public Storage unit here in Seattle. The unit was already reserved, we just needed to stop by the office to fill out the paperwork. To our surprise, when we got there we were told that they couldn't rent to us, as we owed a debt to Public Storage of $316.00!! I immediately called the customer service line, only to be told by a very rude man that I would need to call the storage facility I rented from. So I called the Decatur location in Las Vegas. No one answered, so I left a message explaining the situation, confident it was an easily-fixable error on their part. About 20 minutes later I called back again, since both the Vegas Storage facility and the Seattle facility were about to close, and we were sitting on a rented truck full of stuff that needed to be unloaded so the truck could be returned on time. This time a woman answered, and I started to explain what was happening when she interrupted me: "yeah, I got your message and looked over your account info. The $316 debt is staying. Our records show you left the lock in the door so we just kept charging you." Okay - three things wrong with this. One, I scheduled a move-out for that day. Two, I took the lock with me (still have it to this day). Three, the manager asked us to leave the door to the unit up so she could prep for new renters; she 100% knew we had vacated. On top of all this foolishness, I found out that Public Storage pulled $160 out of my bank account for October rent...even though I moved out September 29th. Then, they charged me for November 2018 rent (this did not come out of my bank account), another $160 that has somehow now morphed into $316.00 they are insisting I owe them. Public Storage owes ME money, not the other way around! I rented from them for a year, and was preparing today to rent from them again, but I will never again trust this company. You can do everything right: schedule your move-out, clear out your unit, remove your lock, even leave the door wide open if asked...and they can still simply say "you left your lock in the door" and continue to charge you for a storage unit you no longer use. This company is not trustworthy. They also lied to me when I first rented the unit, and said I HAD to buy their overpriced insurance or I would not be able to rent with them. Come to find out, this is not at all true. In fact, I would also like a refund of the $14 per month I paid Public Storage based on an absolute lie. What a terrible company. read more

Low and behold, I arrive at the property at about 7:30pm, an hour and a half before the access gate closes, andy code does not work, and I told I have to see a manager. Apparently they don't understand what contactless means. I called the main 800 number and am told they need a copy of my ID. What? How does that = "sign up, and access your unit without stopping by the office?" And of course, the person I spoke to from the 800 number can't help me in any way whatsoever. I had to have my items out of my condo by tomorrow morning and thanks to this crap facility, that isn't going to happen now, costing me money, due to their gross incompetence. Pathetic. read more

I have had this unit about a year now and I would never recommend this facility to anyone. I have been broken into 3 times now. The first 2 time they just riffled through, this last time, around June 29th, 2023....(at least that's when they called to let me know there was an "issue" with my unit) they busted the door of mine and 9 other units, they stole over $5k worth of personal property. After I had a chance to see the wreckage, they boarded it up, it is still boarded up and they have yet to let me know when I can come get my things. When I called on the 3rd I had to leave a message, NO ONE EVER ANSWERS!!!! I asked them to call me know when I could come down and that I was planning on removing my items, and that I would not be using them in the future. No one called me back; in fact, they went ahead and charged me for the month... I never gave them permission to do so. I would have had my stuff gone on the first if they would have let me in my unit. I called again on the 5th, again having to leave a message, asking them when I could get into my unit and mentioned me getting changed for the unit. I actually got a phone call back, he explained that no one is actually at the office unless there is an appointment?!?!?! Seriously!? And that they had to contact the vendor who put the boards up to come and open it for me. No mention of the payment they stole. So here it is the 7th with yet another message left regarding the same thing. I am about ready to go there with my own drill and remove the board myself. This is by far the worst place to store dog crap let alone your personal property. read more

The company is cheating it's customers and I won't be using them ever again. I'd suggest staying away. There are plenty of other storage units in the city. Save yourself from getting cheated. Likes: Unit was clean enough and rats and roaches didn't eat my things. The drug addicts who were lingering outside of the unit and hanging out with the staff when I moved my stuff in didn't steal anything from my unit. Dislikes: The cheat their customers. They prorate the month when you move in, but refuse to prorate when you move out. So be prepared to pay a huge $/day price in your last month. I moved out four days into the billing cycle and they still charged me $172. It's absurd and it borders on consumer fraud. Then they gave me the runaround for a week, telling me that I had to talk to Kenneth the district manager. I left a couple messages, and finally got a call back from a woman named Lorraine Evans. She said there was nothing they could do about it... so either she's straight up lying to me or the customer support staff who I talked to numerous times who said Ken was the one with the power to adjust bills was lying. I wish I used a different company. And I wish I didn't waste my time talking to their inept staff stupidly thinking they'd actually care about their customers. read more

(drive up unit) I've had my unit for less than 6 months and my unit had both, water damage and ant infestation. I took pictures and called their office the next day and left a voicemail. The first girl that returned my call was so unprofessional by interrupting me and hung up when I raised my voice. There was no need for me to raise my voice, but she lacks basic phone etiquette and mannerisms. I called back and spoke to Jazmin, when I said the previous girl hung up on me, jazmin responded with, "because you got loud and rude with her!" My response, "I had no choice she interrupted me numerous times." Jazmin must have been raised by peasants because her response was, "ok, so what do you want?" After expressing my concerns and that my belongings might be damaged, she referred me to their insurance company. I asked several questions, including what was covered and the answer to all was that she didn't know anything, I would have to call the insurance. I had my storage unit since November 2014. On July 2nd, I cancelled my storage unit and the rep told me I was prorated 1 day so I would get charged for only 1 day. 2 days later, they charged me $143 in the months rent. I spoke to the clerk, and customer service. They both referred me the the District Manager Ivonne. After contacting Ivonne 4 times, she called me 1 month later after complaining to corporate who forced her to call me. Ivonne "Barbara" is not a professional person, which is obvious by taking 1 month to call me back. She did not even care about my concern, and did not refund the balance. She has poor customer service skills, and is a poor representative of PS. She lied and stated that the clerk who closed the unit did not say anything to me and that I heard wrong. She basically said I was SOL for the funds they stole. Please use caution, this location is very non-transperant about the terms, and don't believe anything they say unless you get it in writing. I had my attorney start a process to send corporate a certified letter before moving forward with other actions. I've reported the incident to BBB. read more

I have only had one issue and while Denise Young the GM is always MIA nor deals with major issues (like finding things in your unit floor and your lock being cut before its suppose to). Hmmm, how do you review a storage facility? Restaurants, movies and games, tangible items; easy as pie. But here there's no food to critique, atmosphere isn't a priority, and functionality is king. So we're left with the basics. The place was clean, inside and out. The unit itself was spotless and odorless. The climate controlled unit was cool and dry, which is ideal for my mountains of books and papers. Security seemed tight, with multiple personalized codes needed to gain entry to our building. Once inside, each unit is secured with a special padlock which must be purchased on-site if you don't already have one. The lock isn't cheap -twenty or so bucks-, but it's very high quality and yours to keep. There are cameras throughout the lot, always recording and sending video to be saved digitally. We are very pleased. Size and price are true to the advertisement. Be prepared to pay an administrative fee and a lock fee (again, if you don't already have one from a previous Public Storage facility). There is also a mandatory insurance fee, the cheapest of which is $11.00 per month. After everything, my first month's payment came to around $75.00, but next month will be super sweet at a measly $22.00. Totally worth it as far as I'm concerned. Finally, the staff. We were taken care of by Kash, who was absolutely wonderful. She answered all of our questions with confidence, did everything she could to help us save money, was incredibly friendly, and got us in and out in under half an hour. I normally hate doing stuff like this because it makes me anxious, but she made the whole thing painless and dare I say, a little fun? So what do you want in a storage facility? Cleanliness, security, fair pricing, and friendly staff. Anything less is unacceptable and anything more is superfluous. Except maybe bacon; bacon makes everything better. read more

I wouldn't give this place even one star. The customer service isn't even competent. This place is literally ripping you off. From their outrageous late fees of $71.00 if not paid by the 7th. Not having access to the property if your payment is not in by the 1st and your account is not completely up-to-date.To them putting a Lien and sending your unit to auction without even being a full month behind. They put a Lien on my unit on 9/2 and auctioned off my unit on 9/24 and I only owed them for the month of September! I received phone call after phone call harassing me for my next payment. However was never given full and complete information from the customer service rep. They are literally STRONG ARMING people using their personal property in a hostage situation.
