Didn't work. We tried resetting the code. Still didn't work. Tried creating a new code, still didn't work. Her code as well as everyone else's code worked. She reached out to the district manager and did not get a timely response. She apologized more and I felt bad for her because the facility is brand new and wasn't working. I initially reserved a 1st floor unit which was a little more than others. Once I arrived I was told my unit was on the second floor. Not a big deal but I was also not assured that I was paying less since it was NOT on the first floor. Whatever. Showed up later that evening to try and get access again since I needed that unit. Access code still didn't work. After waiting around for about 30 min the property manager did some magic and I was finally able to get into my storage unit.

They're advertising first month free, but I guess my unit doesn't qualify? Anyway, Joe was helpful in walking me through signing the paperwork (not a contract but you still have to give them your license and sign a "contract." Not a true contract, as it's month-to-month). I did read a review which wasn't happy about the clause in this paperwork which states Extra Storage has the right to change the price at their discretion/to reflect the market, basically. But it says a 30 day notice is given. I'll keep a watch on that and keep y'all informed because I did find other storage places around here that have competitive pricing. Pricing wise, for my 5x10 unit as of right now (unless they raise my price) I'm paying $47/month + $11 for insurance. I did discuss having my renter's cover the unit instead but the pricing was about the same so I went with Extra's (it covers flood and pest). The first month costed me $100 because they add a $24 administration fee and I bought the cylinder lock for $17 from them as well. I have high hopes that I will be happy with Extra Storage, the location is close. The front entrance has construction so you have to pass in front of all those hotels. Which is fine by me. The back entry is easy to access as well. There's locks and gates so people can't just get inside the property without a code. Not only does their website state that they have 24 hour video surveillance, but we were told in person and over the phone that they had 24 hour cameras. After arriving at our storage unit to move out, we discovered thousands of dollars worth of stuff missing. When we asked for the security footage, it turned out they in fact do not have security cameras at all in the building. The insurance we signed up and paid for covered absolutely nothing because our lock was not damaged. The storage units do not go all the way to the ceiling making it easy for anyone to get in through the top. We would be able to easily see this and get our insurance if they actually had cameras. So if you want everyone to have easy access to all your things, then this is the place to rent. We have not heard from a manager or anything.

I figured she was busy with her new baby so I waited and went by there again the next morning. Decided to sweep it and make sure it was to their specifications. They were there and wanted to charge me for the full month because I didn't tell them the day I moved out despite my efforts of getting in touch with them. Manager said I could've cheated the gate system and waited around to follow someone in. So I shouldn't have tried cleaning it because my code showed I went back. Now this pos is on my credit due to the inadequacies of the company. There should've been someone in the office when I went there. Of course she was probably off property or on another smoke break.
