This place is horrible. Both lockers I got had roof damage wish I took pictures of the first one. They leave large amount of snow infront of all the lockers it's a skating rink and I have non slip shoes on. And let the door handles freeze over. And last but not least they will bill you for 2-3 months in advance with autopay on. And then not give you a refund or blow you up saying your past due but then you look in account setting and it says 0.00 balance until next month. Don't move in until the first they will bill you for a full month on the 1st even if you move in mid month! read more

This is a nice facility. Tim and Mark in the office are very helpful and accommodating. My only complaint is how frequently the company raises the rates and by how much those increases are (never by just a few dollars). In the three years I have had a unit there, the rental has very nearly DOUBLED. read more

Rate. [negative] This company promotes one rate, then, raises your rate without informing you ahead of time. Space. [negative] The ceiling fell in on our belongings and they did nothing to help us. No discount for the inconvenience of having to move to another unit. No help to move to another unit. Support. The manager lies directly to you when you call for help with a problem on site. When we complained that the back fence was not secured because it is open (in two places) he lied and told us that he had tried to call us many times...and yet, there were never any unreceived calls on either of our phones. And he never solved the fencing issue. Today, there is still access to the property through the back fence. The fact that the manager lies and the rates are changed without notice caused us enormous problems. We budget and this manager doesn't care at all about its customer. I'd give them zero stars if I could. read more

Customer Service at this location is awful. Snow removal is awful. District Manager is sarcastic and says that snow removal is the responsibility fo the renter. Have been unable to safely access unit due to 12-inch solid mound of ice covered in snow. Had paid movers delivering my items to unit who could not unload without stepping over the mound of ice. Spoke with property manager about snow removal twice and was told that she would take care of it. When it wasn't done and movers could not access unit the district manager said that it was in my rental agreement that it was my responsibility - still haven't found in my agreement where it says this. I would never use this location again and would never recommend them. Additionally, the gate has been found wide open on numerous occasions, so safety is poor as well. read more

When checking into my storage I ask the gentleman that worked there was there any moving carts , the gentleman said to me that the carts were only available for units that were climate control. Hello my unit is a 5x5 in door storage, that is climate controlled. Unbelievable. read more

The only thing you can say about this place is that it is a place where you can store things. The management is not very professional and certainly does not care about customer service. When I moved in, the door to my unit was broken and and had a gap between the door and the wall. I was told this would be fixed last year. When I arrived in town to get my things the door was not fixed a year later. I questioned management and they made some excuse about a previous manager. They also raise your rent after several months. They said they sent me a notification but I never received it. Despite this pleasant experience, I was still charged the full payment for the month even though I was only using it for 1 week out of the month. I never write reviews because most businesses try to be professional and make sure the customer is satisfied. This is not one of those businesses. There are other storage units available in Amherst and I would suggest using one of those. read more

This location worked for us. The manager is very nice. The facility is a little aged. The rollup door on our exterior unit will shortly be in need of replacement, but it was dry inside. The automatic gate to exit is not hooked up. You have to get out and enter your code to exit the facility. It looks like it had an auto-gate at one point in time, but the sensor seems to have been taken down. My guess would be it is broken and was never repaired/replaced. OK for what we were storing, but if you have fragile storage, maybe stop in and see the space before you rent it online. read more

Thankfully I rented for Just one month, although I was going to do a 6 month rental. Yes we had a freak snowstorm this week, BUT, you would have thought that they would have kept the driveways clear!! and shoveled near the doors, to the Climate control units.Not so, Well I was there Yesterday 11/14/2019, and removed all the items that I had in there Today. Why, 1/2" bugs scurrying against the hallway walls, dead spiders hanging from the ceiling in my unit, and the fact that I fell yesterday, due to poor maintenance, walks weren't shoveled, and no salt down. I walk with a cane most of the time and yes Yesterday , I fell....So today I moved everything with the help of a friend- To Clarence,NY(,closer to my home) , There the units are CLEAN, and well maintained, and when they say "climate control" it is!!!!! not like Public storage, with rude management. read more

I have been a customer off and on for about three years. The staff are friendly and professional. The facility is clean and I have never had a problem with pests. The gate and keypads to the climate controlled units have been in need of repair for quit some time now. The owner or corporate needs to invest in getting these things fixed in a timely manner. There also needs to be a second cart in the climate controlled building. It is frustrating when there are more than one customer there trying to move items and you have to wait your turn. read more

We were having a special outreach event and needed extra storage space to save all the furniture and housewares we were giving away to international students who are new to UB. We had maxed out garage and storage space elsewhere. With the $1 special, we got a huge storage unit for just the month before the event. With other fees and insurance it came to under $70 or $80. I forget now. They cleaned the unit, and, to protect our furniture, they put a box down on something icky that didn't want to come off the floor. We used that box later, so it was a nice bonus. This Public Storage was not too far from our event, so we were able to pick up the rest of our things the day of the event. Great location! That morning I bought some tape and a dispenser and somehow dropped my wallet outside on the way to the truck. When I got to our event and couldn't find it I nearly freaked. I called Public Storage, and he didn't see it on the counter. He went outside and looked around and found it!!! I was so relieved! He held it in the office until I could pick it up later. I liked that I got two keys for the lock, and I had my own security code to get in and out. I was worried about hidden fees and getting stuck paying hundreds of dollars for a unit I would no longer need. Sean, the manager, addressed my concerns and showed me all of the fees and assured me I wouldn't get charged and could easily end my contract when I was finished, as long as I didn't stay longer than the month. They even called a week before the month was over to remind me of when the contract would renew and when I needed to be out if I didn't want to be charged. They emailed several times, too. They even let me put up fliers on the property to advertise our event. Easy peasy! I really appreciated everything they did. I would do it again. And now that I have their lock, it will be even cheaper next time! Thanks guys! read more

She was very clear to explain the details of my lease terms and spent extra time with me trying to find the perfect size unit in the right location. I am a college student and needed to store my furniture for the summer so this was a perfect spot for me. I'm getting a new house. Actually more than just a new house. It's a large house with a detached garage. On top of the garage is a one bedroom apartment, next to a barn. The place is over a half acre and on a plateau 1250 feet above sea level. Finding the compound was easy. I'm glad that I didn't fall asleep during undergrad courses that forced learning the use of logic for research purposes. Now money was not the issue. It was something else. Ever watch the "reality" TV programs about storage units? I was about to learn a thing or two about what we normally acquire. The RE Broker was excellent but then came the words "set-up" the house to sell it. Despite endless trips to donate items to Salvation Army or Amvets, I learned quite quickly that we all have a lot of "stuff," as an old friend once said to me. Now what to do with the stuff. I found that as a hobbyist I have quite a few objects that needed a temporary home. That is how I met Rachel the manager of the Public Storage on Millersport Hwy in Getzville. Rachel the manager, exemplified extreme competency about Public Storage, and fully answered all my questions. I selected that location because it was 8 minutes from my home. I must offer accolades to Rachel and Public Storage. I got a unit for my "stuff." It was put in the unit and had absolutely no problems. What I learned about Public Storage is that there has been a consolidation of the many individually owned places into a few national companies. This allows Public Storage to maintain a database of "unit renters" and allows easy payment of the monthly rent. The Getzville Public Storage is well run and the inside roads are kept free of any debris. I suggest any potentional renter obtain insurance or a temp amendment to their homeowners policy. I feel secure in storing my items in Public Storage and recommend payment using their web site because of various discounts offered. Most important is that Public Storage provides a convenient place to store items on a temporary basis at a reasonable price. read more

Not only did I lose thousands of dollars in furniture from water damage due to their poorly constructed buildings; they moved me to a smaller unit in an inconvenient location and charged me more! For 3 years I rented a 10 x 10 unit from Public Storage (#25581) located at 2750 Millersport Hwy, Getzville, NY to store household items and furniture. This was an inside, climate controlled unit. Three professional movers helped me empty the unit on September 19, 2015. Upon arrival, we found that the lighting above and around my unit was not working. It was pitch dark, and we were unable to see into the unit. The facility manager was very unhelpful, didn't provide backup lighting or even a flashlight. He pretty much said "deal with it." I had to go to a nearby hardware store and purchase a flood light in order to allow the movers to see what was in the unit. The worst part about this situation was that I notified the PS office manager two weeks prior that I was vacating. They had time to correct any lighting problems but chose not to. With the flood light working, we saw that the unit had dead mice and rodents, feces, and rat poisoning strewn on the floor. The below picture is evidence of what one mover found in the blanket that protected our wood furniture. Unless you want to have a more stressful move by dealing with poor service, rodents that damaged furniture and poor conditions within the facility, I highly recommend that you DO NOT use this Public Storage facility.
