I had my whole apt boxed and stored here for 2 years. Unpacked everything and no sign of bugs, mice or other damage from the storage. Always kept secure, cool(a/c) and clean. I would store here again if needed! read more

I recommend that no one go ahead and rent any units from this property right here because unfortunately nobody's ever in the office when you go there and when you decide to make a payment, no one is there to take the payment even if you leave a payment dropbox they do not check the dropbox and they charge you late fees read more

And Brian just one of the coolest nicest joyful and pleasant human beings I have had the blessing to meet and do business with! Rodents, dead carcasses. The promise to the General Public to protect the warehouses and the units is not backed up. This location is on US1 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.. What I was told back in 2016 was not true at all. I was deceived by the high prices of rent, believing that it assured quality care. I found out a week before I went to get my things that they'll only use pesticides if they see something. When I opened up the unit I could hardly believe the amount of urine and rodent excrement literally everywhere. Everything was absolutely chewed. An entire household of quality items, Italian paintings, business furniture, Italian shoes, clothes, memories of my children and late mother including 35 years of photos are all gone. This was a 10x10 unit that was stacked to the top. I was able to recover just five medium sized boxes. Everything else was destroyed and contaminated. I paid over $15,000 in rental expenses and insurance each month. In the end they only offered me $250 with a $100 deductible and other administrative fees. I'm taking them to court because this is absolute neglect of the property. They're making an enormous amount of money and assuring you of something that they're just not doing to secure your property. This is no Act of God but deliberate neglect while bamboozling the general public. read more

David was very helpful and informative about the storage unit. He showed us the storage unit upon arrival and made sure it suited our needs. He informed us of the different insurance options. He advised us about the automatic payment so we would not miss a monthly payment, which is a plus so we would not have to pay any late fees. He is definitely an asset to your company. read more

The facility is clean but they have moths flying around so make sure not to leave any clothing out. Also very difficult at times to get items to your storage unit due to the flat bed cart you use for me is never to be found. It is safer to go when someone is in the office so if they have to get it from another building they can. read more

I rented a small climate-controlled storage locker at this Public Storage for about a year-and-half while I was living out-of-town and waiting to move to the local area. I have nothing but good things to say about this facility the few times I was in town and checked on my stored items. The staff was always attentive and the facility clean, well-lit, and at the proper temperature for all the paper items I stored. The best part was the monthly rate which was very reasonable. You'll need a disc padlock which you can purchase there or buy on (or bring) your own. You'll also need insurance which you can purchase there at a low monthly rate or check your current renters or homeowners policy to see if it covers stored items and then show proof of insurance when you rent the unit. You can sign up for autopay also and/or get email notification that payment is due. All-in-all, I'm glad I rented here. read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

Since signing up, they have increased my rent three separate times in less than a year. The constant price hikes eventually forced me to downsize to a smaller unit just to manage the cost. The biggest issue, however, was their handling of "required" contents insurance. They charged me $17 per month for their insurance, even though they claim to accept homeowners insurance as long as it covers contents not located at your primary residence. My homeowners policy does cover this. I provided my declaration page and additional supporting documentation clearly showing coverage for off-premises contents. I even had my insurance agent email them directly confirming that coverage is extended to storage units. Despite all of this, Prime Storage refused to accept it because the documents did not explicitly use the words "storage unit." That is an unreasonable and overly rigid policy, especially when the coverage is clearly in place. In short, unless your insurance paperwork uses their exact preferred wording, you're out of luck and will be forced to pay their monthly insurance fee no matter what proof you provide. Between the repeated rent increases and the insurance runaround, this company has been a major disappointment. Beware of Prime Storage--they will find a way to charge you regardless of what you do. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Very Efficient. Stephanie showed me the property, my storage unit, the key code boxes and how to properly use them, and had all the paperwork ready to go in less then 30 minutes. My boyfriend and i went in to the office just to get prices. We arent looking to get a unit until the beginning of march. But even though we were not ready to rent the people there treated us like real people and not a price tag! David showed us the unit that will be perfect for when we rent. And Ashley was able to answer all our silly questions when we called a day later to see the earliest we could reserve one. I highly recommend the clean and friendly facility!! I just moved out of my space here at public storage, and I just have to say, those two ladies are wonderful. I have never been more happy with customer service, ashlea and bobbiejo are just worth having around, both were always helpful if I called with a question, as well as I would see them, and a fellow sometimes, ALWAYS out on the property chatting with other customers and cleaning up. It is hard to find such a good combo of customer service AND a happy clean storing environment. I would always recommend this place. read more

The lady is super cool and friendly and the place is clean and very easy to access the lockers. You can even order your unit online ahead of time it's pretty rad. The key pad says welcome! (your name) which is neat too because I feel like it's a robot butler and he's opening the door for me, and he knows my name. So yeah... it's a good spot to store your stuff. read more
