    Great Customer Service at the Old Town Wells location. They allowed us to stay inside and chat while movers were helping us out.

    Wonderful place to store your things! Lady at the counter is conscientious and friendly. Totally comfortable when I rented here.

By April 2026 (less than a year later), my rate had tripled to $167.50/month with no proper notice or communication. First, in October 2025, they tried to increase my rate to $152. After weeks of back-and-forth, the property manager (Eric) agreed to $77/month. Less than 4 months later in January 2026, I received another notice increasing the rate back to $152. Eric told me he would "review my account" and "follow up shortly." He never did. I was charged $170 in March with no resolution. I called the facility and was bounced between Eric and a sales rep multiple times. When I asked to escalate to corporate, I was transferred to sales instead. I submitted multiple inquiries through their website, emailed the facility directly, and emailed their corporate office (contactus@usstorage.net) on March 26th requesting resolution by March 28th. It is now April 20th and I have not received a single response from anyone. I have been a reliable, on-time paying customer for 9 months. I am currently unemployed and cannot afford these predatory increases. The complete lack of communication and customer service is appalling. I am now disputing the charges and will be moving my belongings elsewhere. Do not trust the promotional rates - they will triple your cost within a year and ignore all attempts to resolve it.

Looks like over 20 units were hit including ours. Shady practices that made me distrustful as to what role management had in all of the break ins. Shameful. *UPDATE LATER SAME DAY, 24? HOURS AFTER BREAK INS*: Called Chicago Police, who sent two officers to meet me there who also noted the obvious break ins and repairs. Property manager still wouldn't acknowledge to us there were break ins, just that latches were damaged. She also wouldn't provide police with any details, although did give them the name of the regional manager but refused to provide any contact info for them. *UPDATE NEXT DAY, 48? HOURS AFTER BREAK INS*: Acting regional manager based in Dallas (not the person noted the day before) called me after I flooded their corporate offices with emails and calls, acknowledged there were at least 25 units broken into, and that he arranged for a local vendor to repair the latches overnight. He didn't understand why the property manager wouldn't acknowledge the thefts or repaired latches, claimed it was a training issue. He said they still haven't reviewed the video yet, but did not expect to catch the culprit based on that, but might be able to identify who did it via entry code logs. Basically, our valuables are gone ($20K+), fingers crossed insurance covers some of this, and we're obviously staying the hell away from this disaster of a storage company forever.

    Picked this location and business based on all the positive reviews. After going in vetting to…read moredifferent places ultimately I picked this business. My 1st visit was really good as Maria showed me around and explained how the units worked. Upon hearing that I would need my storage unit for a couple more weeks Maria extended my reservation to keep my rate and that really helped. On move in day I was given a phone call the day before, to check to make sure what time I was going to arrive. I was able to reschedule my time when I realised that the time slot didn't work any longer. The office staff were very flexible with helping me out. I was able to complete the whole moving process in less than 30 minutes. Overall I am happy with my unit I end up getting a 10 by 7 and a 1/2. I do like the ease of unloading my S UV into their docking station. I appreciate the climate control as it can get really hot during the summer and I was worried about my electronics. This was the true reason I picked this location even though about $50 more per month than the location about 2 miles away. All in all super excited about the fringe benefits of this location, To include utilization of a moving truck. The nice thing is that they allow you to use the moving truck up to 2 weeks from your moving date. This alone is going to save me a $150.

    I have a bone to pick with this place let's start with money…read more Upon entering into a lease with this facility, I have had nothing but trouble. First of all, the staff was friendly as heck but then it went downhill when all of my personal items went missing from my storage space. I tacked on the extra fee in insurance and look what happens... I learned that my items were missing, I immediately want to leave the space because, I don't trust it any longer. Although I had more days left on my leasing agreement to remove my things, my code to access my belongings by the garage entrance was locked. I was with a brother who had cerebral palsy and wheelchair bound, they locked us out sooner then usual and I had expressed to the associate manager that I was moving out. The manager immediately deactivates my code and the next month I am still being charged a storage fee! They then lock my storage so that I won't have access while charging me form the lease as well as insurance and won't even help get by...I am quite appalled If you are in the west loop area, please don't use your storage here, it was being unfair to me and rude not fulfilling the needs of contract. if you want to see how I see things follow the hash #sandracoinent on Linkedin Clarissa and Associates
