Became a customer about 6 months ago. After a couple months, my rental unit price was increased by…read moreabout 18%!! The excuse is that "everybody does it". Then, the roof starts leaking in one of my units ( I rented a 10x20, but they gave me two 10x10's without so much as an email). Some of my items were damaged from the roof leak, but it was minimal. I immediately reported the leak to Corporate through local staff. No one has contacted me from corporate to discuss compensation, moving my things to a unit that doesn't leak when it rains, or even an apology for damages and inconvenience. Local staff has been great, but they have no control over anything. The location of the leak puts both my units at risk, and I had to move all my stuff to the sides and tarp it all and provide a key to staff to come and go in my units as they please to make repairs. And I'm still paying the extra 18%. Find another place if you want your things to be protected from weather and corporate self-interest.

The fact that you have to lie to your loyal customers to save your reputation speaks in volumes for your integrity. I moved out the very first day of June. You were closed on June 2 and I was at the facility before 9am on June 3rd. I did put in my 10 day move out notice on June 3rd. I was then lied to about my account not once but twice right to my face. When I proved the facility WRONG with the same invoice YOU provided for me. You were the one who was rude because you were caught in your lie. On the 5th of June ( before my 10 day notice is up) My account was then sent to a Collection Agency. What does this say about B and H Storage? UNETHICAL Obviously I was not trying to coerce anyone into getting my own way. I stated it was unethical to charge a customer $104 dollars for one or even two days of the month in which you were closed one of those two days. You stated you did not prorate but yet you prorated my account when I moved into your facility. And then you turn around and charge a new customer the same rent on the same unit. When I DID ASK TO PAY MY ACCOUNT on June 6th you stated I had to wait a week because my account has not reached the Collection Agency yet. I am still waiting for them to receive my information so I can pay them directly. Apparently this is NOT an uncommon situation for B and H Storage. Because of my experience I will NOT recommend B and H Storage to anyone. To me your YELP reviews are more important than your Customer Service. Have a great day.

Aiken Storage Management added a $12 rip-off fee even when told that it does not expire. When told that we would not be paying the $12 ripoff fee, management says that a late fee will be tacked on the every month the ripoff fee is not paid. We will be removing out storage contents out immediately. Please stay clear of these ripoff artists.
