I lost my husband unexpectedly. My dad called them up and we signed the hospital release for them to take my husband. My only request was handprints. Im 34 years old and we have three kids under 6. I only wanted handprints for my kids. They assured us no problem. Next I found out my husband was taken to the coroner and while I fretted about handprints they said it was no problem. A lady emailed me paperwork to fill out bit in my fog I thought I would just turn them in when they let me know they picked him up from the coroner. Several days went by. I finally called the coroner and they said he was done with the autopsy days ago. They left him. I called in a panic and the woman was completely rude to me and said she emailed me paperwork that I hadn't turned in yet. I signed a release to them already...I just lost my husband...seriously? She didn't have to be so rude. Then, the handprints they promised I could get...they told my dad sorry...the fists were tightly clenched. I cried in the middle of the Social Security office when I found out. When they actually finished the job everything went smoothly, but I'm disgusted. They seem to forget they are dealing with living people too. My kids are 6, 3, and 1. They could have used a souvenir from their father. I could have used a company who could take care of us. Truthfully, they're just good for burning up the dead. Nothing else. If you want anything else go to Forest Lawn. read more
