I really like this place! Bartenders work hard to cover the floor during happy hours and still manage to be attentive. Even the ding ding ding of the cashouts are handled expediently. I hate leaving negative reviews, but after multiple bad experiences, I feel other customers should know what to expect. Over the past several weeks, my boyfriend and I have visited this PT's Pub location multiple times. During every visit, bartender Chris was noticeably cold and unwelcoming toward us. At first, we brushed it off, assuming he was just having a bad day, but his behavior only became worse with each visit. On one visit about two weeks ago, my boyfriend, his friend, and I spent around two hours at the bar. We were the only customers there the entire time, yet we repeatedly had to get Chris's attention whenever we wanted to order another drink because he spent much of his time sitting off to the side on his phone instead of paying attention to his customers. For a bar that wasn't busy at all, the level of service was surprisingly poor. At the end of the night, we paid our tab and intentionally left a cash tip instead of adding one to the credit card receipt. Before even noticing the cash tip, Chris picked up the receipt, saw that the tip line on the card was blank, and sarcastically said, "Thanks for nothing." It was embarrassing, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional--especially since we had actually tipped him. Today's visit was what finally prompted me to write this review. My boyfriend and I walked in, sat down, and before we could even order anything, Chris immediately told us we needed to "find somewhere else to hang out." I politely asked why, and he responded that he had the right to refuse service to anyone. When I asked what we had done to justify being refused service, his only response was, "I just told you why." He never gave an actual reason. We have never been disruptive, disrespectful, aggressive, or caused any issues at this establishment. We've never been warned about our behavior or asked to leave before. Being refused service without any explanation after several previous rude interactions felt completely arbitrary. After this happened, I looked through older reviews and was surprised to find another customer from about a year ago specifically mentioning Chris by name and describing similar issues with his attitude and customer service. Management publicly responded that they would address the issue internally, so it's disappointing to see customers are still having similar experiences. I completely understand that businesses have the right to refuse service. However, I also believe customers deserve to be treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. If there had been a legitimate reason for refusing us service, I would have appreciated being told what it was instead of being dismissed without an explanation. I genuinely hope management addresses this because no customer should be made to feel unwelcome for no apparent reason. read more

Love this bar. Best staff in Vegas, bar none. Only problem is the STENCH. It has been an ongoing problem for months now that the bathrooms and subsequently the bar smell like sewage. Is Golden Gaming doing anything to fix this? Maybe the health department should get involved. One of the biggest gambling bars in their company and half the time it smells like what Andy crawled through when he escaped Shawshank Prison. Corporate needs to support their excellent staff and fix this. read more

I should have known better but I stopped by to do a little gambling and have a drink. I must have gambled for over an hour and they refused to even comp one drink because I wasn't playing enough per hand. They charged me 8$ for a beer and another $8 for a Jamison that was barely a small shot. The female bartender was unfriendly and quick to let me know their comping policy. Odds on the machines were bad. Just one big rip off. Dottys is so much better The funny thing is that I hit a 5 spot and a 6 spot on one hand of 4 card Keno. Came here for the first time with my friend. I'm a regular at PT's just to catch up with friends but this location is just horrible. The bartender made us move chair just because her regulars are coming in and playing the machine. I feel so attacked it was only busy for just 20mins and she was very rude for making us move and take note i was playing and drinking while catching up with a friend. She was just nice to her regulars since theres some people winning and she was getting tip and thats not a good customer service. Went to this location on Friday night to try the happy hour. Sadly, there is no kitchen. If you want food there is Roberto's next door. Aside from that there are four pool tables and shuffleboard game. Cost for each is $5.00/hr which I wasn't told about until paying my tab (they take ID for collateral). Happy hour is 50% off normal drink prices. I suggest checking prices off drink menu. Service was friendly and attentive. Would go again mostly for the pool tables, other than that there is not much to draw me back. read more

Will never return here. Played slots for about 2 hours and put $80 in the machine. Drinks were watered down even though, but I didn't complain because I assumed they were comped. Gave the bartender a $10 tip, but it had no effect. When I left, I was billed for 2 of the 3 horrible drinks I was given. I wish I would have taken the bartenders tip back. 2 hours, $80 gambled, a $10 tip and I still have to pay for 2 watered down drinks? Ridiculous. Worst place I've been in a while. read more

Stopped by early morning with some friends and it was I believe Candace and Gary working. The bar was a little busy when we got there but Candace approached our table within a couple minutes and took good care of us. With how quick my friends were slamming drinks I started to just grab the drinks from the bar and had good small talk in between each round. PT's is a come and get away for a little bar. Nothing special the food isn't bad and the bartenders are okay. I met one who is very nice but for the most part they don't keep track on the comps and they aren't very personable. It's just a spot to get away and grab a beer. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone it's just a spot for my girlfriend or my friends and I to play a little money on keno and grab a beer after a long night of work. They do have pool though so that's kind of cool if you wanna play a little with your friends. Otherwise it's a very okay spot. read more

The thing with PT's is that they're all pretty much the same. They don't deviate too much from the standard formula of drinks, food, smoky environment, and mostly-blonde lady-bartenders. This one actually doesn't serve food, which really sucks. I like getting chicken wings with my beers, but these guys send you to the Roberto's next door to get food. That kinda sucks bc Roberto's doesn't equal wings/burgers/bar food. The drinks here are ok, though nothing to get excited about. This is a divier, smokier PT's than most, but the bartenders are friendly (made me aware of a customer rewards card even though I'm a non gamer & they don't serve food) Usually this is a nightcap stop, or occasionally Happy Hour, they usually put up sandwiches or something for the regs. There is a Roberto's connected for those who want to cap off dive bar with dive Mexican. Not a place I'd hang out all night but a good hit & run, service with a smile. This place is a solid bar-staple in Las Vegas. My understanding is that there are 54 locations in town, all of them 24 hours with happy hour from 4-7p.m. and again from midnight till 3. Happy hour equals half-off ALL drinks and giant pizzas with your choice of toppings. The bartenders are usually friendly and efficient. It's always smoky---yes they could use more ventilation, but so could every bar. STOP! Do not eat at the Rampart location. Today is my birthday and my caregiver ordered food for me from this place. The Fish and Onion rings were greasy, there was no Tartar sauce or Cole Slaw, the Fish and rings were so soaked with nasty grease that I ate one small bite and was afraid to eat anymore. I also ordered the beef Tacos which consisted of three tiny corn tortillas smothered with some kind of burger meat. Then I also ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, there were five bites of chicken, no Caesar dressing and it looked like it had been refrigerated for three days or more. We ordered take-away and she went to pick it up and brought it back to me for a Birthday present. I would not feed this slop to my dog, let alone have a human being eat it. She needs to get a refund, it was forty dollars and she doesn't make much money. I felt sorry for her but I can't afford to be ill for days at a time. That stuff was a ticking time bomb. I'm guessing the four star rating is because this is a great place to go for a drink in between making batches of meth. For anything else I don't see the appeal. There was one bartender/server and one person in the kitchen on Saturday afternoon and it took two hours to get any food. The bartender/server was slurring her words and took orders three different times and still didn't get it right. Food was ok but not anything special or fresh and not worth the wait. There was "something wrong" with the Blue Moon keg. While you are waiting you get to experience the wonderful clientele and have your clothes absorb the ash tray smell of the inside. At least it's cheap and if you are lucky at the slot machines inside you can pay for your food/drinks. read more

We were in search of some bar food, a beer, and a nice game of pool on our day off. We got exactly that at this nice little PT's on Monday evening. The waitress was sweet and professional. The food was spot on. The Perfect grilled cheese. My husband had the fish & chips which was great too. We didn't gamble this time but there must've been some action because we heard some ding dinging behind the bar. My only minor complaint would be that there are about a Dozen Photos of Half Naked Girls on the walls making the place feel like - I don't know - the inside of a boys bedroom! I got that uneasy feeling you get when you walk into your creepy neighbors house and he's got a trashy calendar on his wall and you feel kind of objectified and unsafe. Not surprisingly, there weren't any other women around gambling or eating or playing pool. My husband and I had a laugh about it. Overall, we still had a great time. STILL SHOCKED. The two stars are for the manager Tony. Super friendly, helpful and attentive. Once Tony left, the service was so bad I had to leave. Once the manager left so did the professionalism. My jaw dropped as a bartender named Candace aired my business from a previous visit 6 months ago in front of at least 6 other patrons. Unprovoked. Just walked up and leaned her elbow against the bar in front of me and pretended to own the place as she attacked me. I even asked her politely to walk away and stop twice. She just laid into me harder. My friends jaw dropped in complete shock that she would not stop. Someone told me she used to work at another location and was moved to the one on rampart and this must be why. I was so offended, I didn't know what else to do but to walk out. She claimed I made a mess in the bathroom and had 20 Brady brunch kids with my boyfriend.... I have one son...and he had 2 kids.... I can't understand her attack because I was talking to my gf next to me and she just walked up? I don't even know this girl. I know some people have a bad day but holy hell. I am not a rowdy patron and usually mind my own business. Unfortunately, I will make sure to never go back and have advised several people that the bar is taking a dive for the worst who then also agreed with me. This is probably my all time favorite bar since relocating to vegas....it's not because of the music or decor, or the big screens or cozy atmosphere. What makes a great establishment is the staff and patrons. Since the first early morning I walked in a bartender named Candace made me comfortable, at ease and ready to grow another long term patron in me. She is funny, professional and knows the perfect balance of checking on me and my needs. Over the years I have watched her with many other patrons and find that she offers the same upstanding service to them. On a few occasions I have witnessed situations with unruly people. She handled them professionally and swiftly as an experienced bartender should. That's when I realized a bartenders true job is to continue to offer the style of atmosphere in which her established long term patrons are accustomed too and grow that base. It's not to allow disrespectful, scamming, free willing antagonist to disrupt everyone else's good time. I hope Pts on lake mead and rampart will be around for years to come! My favorite local bar, w my favorite local bartender Candace. I'm not usually a yelper but as someone who is there A LOT! ( probably too much ;)) I need to give credit where credit is due. I witnessed some patrons arguing w Candace for over 1/2 hr about how they shouldn't have to pay their tab when they put money in a machine so it should be comped. First off, Anyone who plays knows it's pretty common to play at least a $20 for a comp. This patron was trying to scam the bar by putting in a 20 getting a drink and cashing out. Candace was a total professional about it as She calmly and nicely explained the policy over and over to the people who were very rude and clearly just out to not pay their tab. Im not sure I've seen anyone be so patient. I was super impressed how well she handled the situation and will continue to come there for her awesome service. Go Candace! read more
