In town for training and I had a Gout flare Sunday night. I was in extreme pain and I needed to see…read morea doctor right away to get treated. I called several places and every business was booked out for weeks. Finally I called Foot & Ankle Care and they were kind enough to listen to my story and kept the office open a few minutes late to see me. The staff was extremely friendly and empathized my pain I was feeling. I was seen right away and met Dr. Brian. He was very friendly, professional, and cut straight to the chase. He get a steroid shot, which I thought would be extremely painful based on my first experience. He actually managed to give me the shot and the pain was next to nothing... amazing. It's been 24 hours and the shot and anti-inflammatory has reduce my pain quite a bit and I can walk again at least. Thank you so much Foot & Ankle Care. You guys are awesome!

Dr. Gradisek did me a huge disservice. Surgery on my foot in the outcome was very unsatisfactory…read more He bragged that he had done work with the Chicago Bulls basketball team. I find it very hard to believe with his lack of skill. He placed a device in my foot and it backed out halfway. When I went back to him, he basically told me that there was really nothing he could do and that as long as I didn't have pain, it should be fine. You should've refunded the entire cost of my surgery and offered to redo his work. If you care about your feet, I would suggest you stay far away from this doctor.

Okay so I randomly happened upon this store as I was browsing the shops in the area and I'm so glad…read moreI did, because I really love the shoes that I bought. This store specializes in "natural" running shoes with minimal soles so that your feet feel the ground more compared with the super cushioned stuff that you find with most mainstream shoe brands. This is literally a mom and pop shop, the owners are a husband/wife team of avid runners and they were super friendly and helpful. They analyzed my running form and also have an option to have custom orthotic cushioning added onto the sole based on your foot shape. Mind you, this wasn't a true custom orthotic made with a mold (which they also do), but this was essentially foam pieces custom cut and glued to the sole to give additional cushioning to key parts of my foot. I can't say I'm a hardcore runner, but I've tried many brands and this pair is one of my favorites. Besides the color which I love, they have elastic shoelaces that you just slip your feet in and tighten. You can also throw the shoes in the washing machine. Most importantly, they feel great to run in. Talking to the owners you can tell they're passionate about running, the owner literally wrote a book on natural running and they threw in a copy of the book with my shoes. I was visiting the area from out of town and did not plan to buy shoes but I love these shoes so much once I wear out my first pair I think I'll order another pair from them. Highly recommend that you drop by and try the shoes on if you're in the area. My package (including the shoes and custom cushioning) was about $180, so a little expensive if you're just a casual runner but about what you'd pay for running shoes from any of the mainstream brands. To be honest though, the shoes are so comfortable and easy to slip on that I sometimes find myself just using them for day to day usage, so I'm getting more utility from them than just running.

I saw Dr Jachimiak last July, as I wanted to replace my 12 year old orthotics. They still worked,…read morebut were very grungy. The doctor used a low tech method of laying wet plaster strips on my feet to get the "mold" formed. When my orthotics came in I was called in to pick up. After wearing for several days I could tell they weren't right for my feet. He sent them back for adjustment. Now after wearing for 9 months I have such stabbing pains in both feet I went to a specialist who molded my feet in plaster casts. I am hoping These new orthotics help my pain. Don't go to Dr. Jachimiak.

Beware. I was fit…read morefor orthotics in April 2015. When they were ready for pick up, there were some major issues (arch was extremely off, they were way too long) that needed to be corrected. Modifications were continually needed throughout the next several months. I finally received what should have been the "final" corrected version in February 2016 and they still weren't right. At this point I had spent $400 and wasted almost 10 months waiting for them to finally get this right. When I received version 4 (literally 4, but felt like version 345) in February and they still didn't work, I figured it was time to stop trying. I called to request a full or partial refund and they refused to compensate me. Look, I get it. All the revisions and extra shipping to and from their lab cost them money. Everyone at the clinic is very nice and Dr. Yakel was adamant about getting it right. However, while I appreciate them working with me, I'm still without orthotics and now out $400. I never even received an apology. Hopefully I'm in the minority here! One final note. They are REALLY bad at calling people back. The old medical assistant (Andrea) was spectacular, but the new MA missed the boat several times on calling me back. I had to follow up on my own if I expected to ever talk to someone.
