I scheduled my 25 min foot bath at 1:30p and then the 50 min salt cave session at 2p. From the moment I walked in I was warmly greeted. Checked in immediately, as I had entered all voucher info ahead of time. I was escorted back to the foot bath suite of 3 (and was by myself) was taken great care of by the very knowledgeable and friendly staff. She was training someone and they both were kind and just made me feel so comfortable. Once that was done and the ion thingy did its thing - she went over all the different colors and things we saw in the water. Super interesting. Then I was led to the salt caves and was wowed! Soooo pretty and relaxing. Again I was by myself so it was even more relaxing, but I wished I had all my friends with me - because it is very neat. Kicked back in the lounge chair with a blanket and just breathed in all the good air. I went to to Dr. Jessica with my 7 month old son to help treat his constipation after being referred to her by my acupuncturist whom I really like and trust. I honestly can not say if what she did with him helped or not. He is no longer constipated but this happened after I made changes in his diet more so than after she adjusted him. After she saw him for his problem I thought to myself, "It might be worth a shot to take care of myself, my body has been through a lot in the last year, I could probably use an adjustment and some health advice." So I went. She asked me questions about what was bothering me, I was 100% honest with her. She did her Applied Kinesiology testing, QUICKLY decided what I was sensitive to, what supplements I "needed" that I needed a yeast clense and then she adjusted me. She never took the time to explain most of what she was doing, she never took the time to discuss the supplements that she said my body told her I needed. She knew I was a breastfeeding mom; I know she knew, she saw me feeling him in her office. When I got home I realized $87 worth of the supplements she prescribed said DO NOT TAKE WHILE LACTATING. Wait what?!? I trusted this person, why wouldn't she tell me that the "drugs" she was telling me to take we're not good for me to take while I was feeding my son? I have reached out to her and have not received a response. I have asked to return the product and I have told her that I was disappointed by her lack of transparency. Shame on me for having trust is a person who claims that they are there to help. While it is a younger and smaller practice, I'm definitely willing to overlook a less-than-friendly receptionist who answered the phone a few times or confusion with paperwork. Yet it was a complete let down from the moment I called to make an appointment. It was hard to get in, the woman on the phone was rude and not helpful and then my appointment was not scheduled correctly. Dr. Shelly was not any more impressive. Unfortunately, she was very impersonal, did offer a natural and holistic approach I was looking for and rushed me out of her office. I'll keep looking for someone that will offer me more than 15 minutes of their time. I wasted a $30 copay on 15 useless minutes.
