My daughter and I both got acrylics this evening. The lady was INCREDIBLY rude, rough, and did a ridiculously sloppy job. 4 of my nail tips are completely crooked and the shaping is all inconsistent. One nail would not completely stick, so she literally just ripped it off my finger, cutting my skin in the process. When I pointed out the crooked nails, she proceeded to laugh at me and say "it's fine." To top it off, she nicked my cuticles on 6 of my fingers in her haste to be done with me. Absolutely horrendous experience and the icing on the cake is that my nails look horrible. read more

This salon has no sense of organization whatsoever. You can make an appointment and they still will make you wait a whole hour or more when you arrive at your scheduled time because of all the walk ins they take on before the people with appointments. The communication amongst the staff is awful they don't inform one another of who made an appointment at what time nor who arrived in order to get their nails done. Staff is somewhat and they'll do a great job whenever they feel like it. They're just extremely uncoordinated and unorganized. They definitely need to limit their capacity to avoid all these issues and have better communication overall. read more

I use to love this place. Loved it! It was clean and all the techs were excellent and friendly. The last few times I've been there I've left disappointed and angry. They seem to have started a new pricing system where they charge what they feel. They charged my teenage daughter $43 for a fill, standard normal acrylic fill. When I asked about the price it went up to $45. The last 2 times I've used the $5 discount card they've raised the price of the service to cover the discount or they don't apply it. The last time I was in a guy was next to me getting a manicure. My tech kept looking at me motioning her head to the college student next to me and making disgusted faces. I was just there a couple hours ago and let me tell you they did a absolute crap job. The guy I had sits in the front left and my nails were uglier then I came in with. I got a full set and they were sideways and different sizes! There was left over color on my skin and when he was drilling on my nails he cut me multiple times. I have gone to PT Nails in Granger, IN many times, but today was the worst experience. I was getting a pedicure, and SPECIFICALLY told the stylist that my big toes are extremely sensitive, and to just cut the nail simply, without any digging or prodding. Within minutes she is using a long pointed tool and pressing it into the side of my toe. I said, NO, I asked you to not do that. A couple of minutes later she had a clipper tool with longer handles, pushing into my lower nail bed and trying to cut. I had to say stop, I do not want you to do that to my big toe!! She then began speaking in her native language to a co-worker, I'm sure calling me every name in the book. Ordinarily, I have had positive experiences at this salon, but this woman would not follow my one simple request. She then didn't speak much at all, and was very short with me. I accidentally pushed 1 star..it deserves zero stars! I took my 2 nieces for all of us to get pedicures. We were sat right away, my tub had a hand full of long hair in it so I asked for it to be re-lined. We waited, with our feet in the water, as it got cold for 45 minutes!!!!! No one acknowledged us and the tech who would've serviced us went to another lady instead. I dried my feet off and left with my nieces. I will never go back!!!!! read more

This place sucked. Flew in from San Francisco for my sisters baby shower and wanted to get our nails done for her special day. They got us in after about 15 which wasn't bad but that's probably the one plus of this experience. First off- the guy working on my nails was a bit rude and reeked so badly of cigarettes it gave me a headache. He scraped my cuticles so hard that 4 of my fingers were bleeding. He then blamed it on my "thin cuticles". That would be all fine if I didn't regularly get my nails done and have never bled. He then started to file them in a square shape without asking me, which is not my style. When I stopped him, he looked annoyed that he had to fix them. It was the most half assed French shellac I've ever received. I had the white polish all over the skin on my fingers and the aforementioned blood was stuck on my nails for 3 days. My sisters nails were also a mess. They were filed unevenly and after they dried she noticed there were several hard bumps under the polish. Took my niece to get a manicure because she broke off all of her acrylic that she had done for prom. I had a pedicure that was done by a woman name Lyna who did an amazing job on me. But this review is for the woman who worked on my niece's manicure. I showed my technician, Lyna, the work that was done on her and asked her if she could clean up the mess that was left on her nails. The lady then continued to ask Lyna what was said in Viet and they continued to talk back and forth. The lady then turned to me and said that she did the best she could because my nieces nails were so damaged. She continued to try to make her points valid as to why her work looked the way it did. I was annoyed by this point. She then said that it looks messy because her cuticles were dried. She then added cuticle oil and it changed nothing. All I asked for was to have the polish on her skin be cleaned up. That's not much to ask for and I got an entire 30 minutes of awkwardness with everyone's attention on me. I'm also a manicurist who was visiting from out of state so I know everything there is to know about what needs to be done to her nails. It looks like my 4 years old daughter did it. I'll let the photos speak for itself. I still walked out tipping her 20%. I won't recommend any of my friends and family to this location. read more

Heidi and Tommy are fabulous! They remember me every time I come here, even though it is only once or twice a year (when I am home visiting my family - otherwise I would be in here all the time!) Great prices - they don't up-sell you and include callous remover and massages in the regular price. They are careful with the clippers and make sure they aren't cutting too much and injuring you (which has definitely not been the case everywhere I have been). Clean and inviting! Great selection of nail color - both gel and regular. Nails look GREAT! The staff really takes pride in what they do. They never rush through the touch up so my nails looks absolutely amazing. Service was good they got with me real fast but the nail artist was a bit rude as he was doing my nails he cut me twice and continued to do my nails and not let me go cover the cut to stop the bleeding. Heard great reviews about this place so I was a bit disappointed in my first visit. They were able to seat me right away which was great considering how crowded they were. I got a shellac manicure and it probably took less than 10 minutes, which isn't necessarily a good thing. She didn't get my full nail, so the sides were completely colorless. My nails tend to grow pretty quickly, but it's only been a week and the shellac is already starting to peel off from the bottom of my nails and the sides. They haven't chipped yet which is good, but her not painting my full nail has definitely cause the peeling problem. read more

I love coming here! I come all the way from Elkhart, i love that they have so many gel/shellac options to pick from. By far the most variety i have seen at any nail salon. Sometimes there's a wait but they are pretty busy. I like that when i get a mani/pedi they do them at the exact same time (if time allows) so that way i am in and out. I have been going to this salon for the past 6+ years. Up until about a year ago I was pleased but things have changed and not for the better. The workers know me by name and I know their names as well. They were always friendly. I had great experiences with them The salon expanded and new techs have been hired. Each time I go in now there are several new techs and I seem to always get the new ones. Some have Ben good, some not do good. My grandaughter and I went in for pedis the week before Christmas. We were placed in chairs on the side of the salon that was empty. A tech came and started our water then walked away without a word. As the water levels in our basins began rising I called for someone to come stop the water but no one came. I called louder and someone came to turn off the water but not before both basins had spilled over onto the floor causing a mess. Someone wiped it up but not very well, it still looked like a fall hazard. As we sat soaking our feet several workers walked by us but made no eye contact and did not speak. We waited for 55 minutes before one of the salon's best and longest employed techs came to do our nails. Yippee, finally going to have a great pedi! We brought our own polish from home, a nice red OPI. My grandaughter asked for Christmas trees to be painted on her big toes. When the tech started I could see he was not drawing trees so I stopped him and repeated that she wanted Christmas trees. It took forever for him to understand me and when he did he said he couldn't draw Christmas trees. She ended up with snowflakes. I asked for rhinestones in the middle and again, it took quite awhile before I was able yo make myself clear. When it came to my turn he cut one nail so deeply it began bleeding. He clipped my nails but did not file them so I had rough uneven nails. He massaged very quickly and finished with a hurried paint job. I asked him to clean the polish off my skin and he did a half-hearted job then got up to say he was now done. I wish I could say this is a fluke and the only time I have had a bad experience but that is not the case. For the past year or more I have had this same type of experience with one tech after another. Now I need to move on. I always give a minimum 20% tip and I did this day as well but I am trying to find a new salon and will gladly pay more to get quality service. I do not know who owns this salon but who ever it is please listen to your customers and demand your staff get the quality and customer service up or you will continue to lose business. I have been to this location a few times. I have not had a good experience with the quality of the work done. In every instance I have had to take the polish off; gel polish, that I paid extra for, and fix my nails myself. I will give a salon the benefit of the doubt in most situations, however, this has happened in every instance. I went today just to get a fill; clear polish, and she did not file my nails at all, did not fill them correctly( missed an entire side of the nail), did not put oil on cuticles, and did not paint the entire nail with the clear polish( just painted the top of my nail). The worst customer service I have EVER received. Made me wait 3 hours to get a fill and a pedicure. Not only did I wait 3 hours.. people who walked in after me were in and out in under 1 hour. My manicure is BEYOND crooked even after I told them and my fingers were burning (and still are) for an unknown reason. I have been going to this salon for a little while. It has been hit or miss. Sometimes the experience is great and other times I have been cut. I guess I kept going due to the salon being so close to my home and wanting to give them another chance. My mistake. This last experience though has made me realize I need to venture out a bit further and receive a service that is worthy of what I pay. I went in for a gel manicure and picked out a color. I noticed the technician had an odd way of applying the polish. She dabbed it and did not use a paint stroke method. Basically she painted my nails like my 5 year old niece. The polish was uneven and you could see through it. The application also started to look clumpy as well. I let her continue as I figured the next coat would start to even things up but it looked bad each time. When she started to apply the top gel coat is when I realized she was done applying the polish. That see through clumpy mess is what I was going to end up with. I asked her if she felt the polish looked even. Immediately she looked annoyed. She went from pleasant to the attitude to now she has a difficult customer. She called over another technician and they spoke in their own language. The girl then started to apply polish over the top coat. Then had me put my hand back in the light dryer. When she wiped my fingers, the polish started to pull off, then it was really starting to look like a mess. She then proceeded to dab more polish on the part that pulled off to fix it. Obviously this wasn't going to work. I suggested that we may need to start over. I could tell this was not what she wanted to hear and again called the other technician over. She then proceeded to file down part of the polish and at this point I said that we definitely need to start over. I suggested we pick another color at this point because I wasn't sure if the polish was bad or they simply didn't know how to apply that particular color. I remained kind and blamed it on possibly poor polish. She said something to a man in the shop and he took over. Although he was nice and far more gentle than the women technicians in the shop, he was a bit condescending as with each step he asked me if it looked okay as if I was this extremely difficult customer. I am an extremely patient person. I am a manager in customer service. I have dealt with my fair share of unreasonable people which makes me more patient to a fault at times. He did not remove all of the old polish and when I went out into the sunlight you could still see the prior polish on my nails along the sides. The biggest insult was when I paid my bill and they charged me an additional 10 dollars for a polish change. That is okay, enjoy the extra charge as I will not be returning. read more

Terrible treatment for less than mediocre work. The nail technician who began my pedicure was extremely rude and had no sense of pride in her work. She proceeded to apply paint to my cracked toe nail before attempting to fix it. I asked her to either cut down or mend the cracked nail; in response, she began to slam the polish down and show other signs of aggression. Thus, I requested another nail technician. The second technician wiped the polish off and at least five other employees turned around, looked directly at me, and began to laugh. I was the only Black woman in the salon. It was very apparent that the treatment was discriminatory. I informed my friend of this treatment and she proceeded to tell me that she had a similar experience at this same salon. During my friend's visit, the mediocre nail technician was bold enough to say out her mouth that Black people never tip. As a Black woman, who waited tables prior to entering law school-- the comment was disgusting, ill-informed and outright racist. I will NEVER be back. read more

PT is by far my favorite salon for shellac in town! Heidi and Tommy ALWAYS remember your name and how you like your manicure done. Everyone that works there is warm and friendly. The salon is always exceptionally clean, utensils always come right out their sterile packaging, and it doesn't reek of those nasty fumes. I currently have shellac on that's lasted without so much as a tiny chip for three weeks; the only reason I'm removing it is because it's grown out. I HIGHLY recommend PT! read more

my experience at this salon has been pretty bad. I went to get a shellac acrylic fill and the man that did my nails was so rough and didn't say more than three words the entire time he did my nails. he also acted very annoyed when I asked him to fix the shape on just one of my nails. later on in my manicure he used a drill on my cuticles!!!! which I have never seen anyone do before and I get my nails filled almost every month. four of my cuticles were bleeding and every time I pulled away or said ow he just said sorry it's okay and kept going. by the time I was finished I was just happy to be done the overall look of my nails were good besides the bleeding but after one day my nails were completely chipped off. the man was also very pushy at the registers and already had his hand out for my money without even telling me the price. what I can say about this salon is that they fixed my nails without any complaints and were very apologetic and sweet. I was serviced by "Alex" or "Alek" I couldn't fully understand him when I asked for his name and he barely spoke the entire time. If you come here you'll know exactly who I'm talking about. When he did open his mouth to say a few words he was completely rude with his tone and mannerisms, came on as flat out racist if you ask me. He spoke to me as if I was ignorant from the jump, was very rough with my hands and nails and to top it off did a mediocre job. Myself and four friends booked a week in advance and called to confirm more than once as we were really looking forward to relaxing. When we got there we weren't in their books and they made us wait 50 minutes before being seen too. In the time we were there 4 other people left too due to bad service. When getting my pedicure they scraped my toe and made me bleed. My friends finger was also cut when they were working on her cuticles and she bled too. Over the phone we had asked prices and they had confirmed our mani-pedis would be $35 dollars yet they charged us $53 and failed to mention that the $35 dollars was only for certain mani-pedi deals. The staff barely spoke to us and were rude and not at all apologetic about their service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was disgraceful. read more
