I had a fantastic experience with Mike. I'm brand new to the gun world and was worried he might push upsells, but he couldn't have been more genuine. Mike spent more than an hour with me, clearly explaining different models and price points until we found one that fit my needs. When the specific style number I liked wasn't immediately available, he spent the rest of the day calling around to try to locate it. He's incredibly knowledgeable and -- knowing I'm inexperienced -- he also recommended safety courses and even suggested instructors to work with. Bought my carry from here last month during the height of the 2020 panic buys. Still had a great selection, and had every part needed for my old AR. The staff is amazingly patient and helpful. Willing to answer anything, and share personal experience when applicable. Came in thinking I wanted something. Left happy with something else entirely unexpected after holding all three choices. They did a good job matching alternatives to my needs. Ammo was also good quality for the price when handgun rounds were nowhere to be found. Hardly any markup. Price was comparable to past Gunbroker listings. 5 stars - I guess because I've never seen or dealt with the owner? I hear he's a unique fella. read more

I recently purchased a firearm from PT. The staff was mostly friendly but not a lot of detail to customer service (lots of standing around not being helped even though they weren't helping other customers). I had an issue with my firearm (within 2 weeks) and talked with the manager. I was told he was going to talk with the owner and call me back, that didn't happen despite me calling twice. The reason I am giving 2* instead of one is that the firearm was properly priced. If you are going in for something specific that you know they have on hand and you are willing to take the risk of no customer service if there is an issue, then it is a decently priced store. Otherwise stay away and find yourself a better firearm store. read more

I've purchased several firearms from PT Firearms, including my first handgun, and I've always been pretty happy with them. They've answered a lot of my questions, and have been generally good about not making me feel stupid even for the fairly stupid ones. They've got a great selection of built AR-15s, and the prices on the firearms are decent. If they don't have something that you want, they can generally get it for you, and they've always been good to me on price and service, and I trust them with my business. Ammo is a bit pricey, but that's more or less everywhere that isn't online or a big box type store. It's good ammo, though, although I wish they carried a bit more variety of 9mm carry ammo. Bring cash as there's a worthwhile cash discount. read more
