The bearings in my cams of my VXR blew out the day before the 2022 archery season.... I was at pappas right away the next morning when the doors opened. I had bought my last two bows from them, and figured that would be the way to go. I showed them the issues and they told me I over tightened the axle and I would have to buy the cams and it would be weeks to get them. I took my bow and left. I called around to other shops, 2 other shops said that this is an issue that they have been seeing, and that it has been covered 100% of the time. I went back into pappas and told them this due to the other shops being even further away. At that point they said they had cams but I would still need to pay $300 for the set. I did this so I could hunt. A while later I reached out to the Mathews rep, he said that that they have been warranting, out the cams, and he would talk to Randy to get me a refund. Today I went to pick up my refund and was charged a $50 service fee for them having to process the return. This is something that no other shop in this area has done. This is gone as far as a close friend of mine with the same bow had the same issue got charged for cam by Pappa's. Went to a different dealer and that dealer ripped cams off of a brand new bow, replaced his damage cams, and sent him on his way free of charge. I do not understand why the customer service at Papas has gone downhill so far. I would've gladly payed them to put new cams on my bowl the first time if they would've warranted the cams simply for there inconvenience, but instead I had to drive an hour each way twice. I don't believe I will ever return to Papas. There are better shops in the area. Oh.... And when I pulled the cams back off of my bow to swap the top hats they put back in reverse of how I had them, the axle that was "over tightened" was tighter than it was when I took it to them the first time.

Every time I've gone in someone has greeted me and asked if I needed any help. This past Saturday I literally brought my TV with me because I can't find the proper screws for the base. A younger guy took the screw I had most recently purchased (my 3rd attempt), sized it and then took several attempts to find the correct screw. He was running in and out of the store to fit it on the TV (never ended up finding it). At one point another guy was helping us too. This type of service would NEVER happen at the big box stores or even most of the small-town stores. Very appreciative and will visit this store before I go into town to the big box store!

The store is never busy, which is great, but honestly, they have so much great stuff, wish more people would shop here. They do a decent amount of online orders and print sales so that is good, but we hope this place doesn't get shut down. The building desperately needs repairs and work done and please please update the POS system. Your poor employees have to do so much extra work because of how outdated the POS system is. Riley has been there every time we have shopped here, he is a great employee. We had dealt with the other employees when been there and they all are helpful and knowledgably. The prices are the same if not better than other stores but I rather pay more and not have a busy overcrowded and picked thru items and shop here even if paying a few cents more. We always find what we need and if there is something they dont have we have ordered it to ship to us directly. Riley recently got us signed up for the business membership program and glad we did, we saved over $80 on our recent purchase. The best part of the experience was Alex, who helped us find the right shoes for us. She was very knowledgeable in each shoe type, knowing customers preferred and disliked about each shoe, and even knowing about how the companies changed their styles!
