About an hour goes by I reach out to ask if they were still coming she says yes they got held up at Lowe's and will be there in 10 minutes. 20 minutes go by I start to call to cancel the appointment but saw them pulling in my drive way. The wife came in greeted me & appeared apologetic the husband "handyman" stood behind very stand off & seemingly annoyed. He came in my home I extended my hand and he was reluctant. Brushed it off showed them upstairs to the office and kids bedroom and what I needed done. I asked how long the service would take. Initially we agreed on 2-3 hours now it was 4-5 hours and they we're over an hour late. When I challenged the timeframe, the husband then abruptly blurted out "I don't need this!" Instructed his wife to grab his tools & I followed them out of my home. I felt very uncomfortable with them in my home esp the husband. He seem very unhinged & I smelled alcohol on him as he was leaving. They also left my office a mess. Don't leave ANYTHING to weaver!

They are the first building contractors we have found that do EVERYTHING the right way (we have tried bigger and smaller firms). They genuinely care about doing a great job. Communication is clear and transparent, and the job is detailed. We were provided a specification list of all fittings, along with a work design drawing for practical purposes and 3D visuals of what the bathroom would look like. Before work started, everything was scheduled and the process flowed beautifully. All permits were handled without any involvement from us and they used a straight forward project app to ensure we had daily updates. I've added some photos but it's hard to show exactly how much difference this addition en-suite has made to our home and all the behind the scenes electrics and plumbing required to make it happen. We are over the moon with the end result and enjoyed the structured process of delivery. We are about to contract with them to renovate an existing en-suite and build a new hidden walk in closet. So it is paramount that you get a home inspector that will 1. be straight with you and 2. not overcharge you for unneeded things to pad their invoices 3. be straight with you (you get the idea). Karen and Peter are experienced, honest, know what they're doing, are reliable (they show up when they say they'll be there!), and they don't screw around. If the home you like has a list of flashing-red-light problems they will tell you, because you need to know rather than have a horrible surprise after you move in. I was grateful they did - they found a host of problems I didn't know were there, and the problems I knew of were actually far worse than I realized (and I've done some home work previously, I'm not clueless in laying down floors, tile, etc). Some home inspectors will give you a little folder and maybe 2-3 pages and another few pages of pictures...Peter and Karens' reports are expansive, detailed (with pictures and references) and written in plain English - not builder-ese. Their prices are fair and they will tell you - no surprise bills here! I can't say enough about the job Peter and Karen did for me, and I am certain they will do just as good a job for you, because of the upstanding people they are.

Karen, Sean, and Pete were all on time, extremely thorough, and answered all of our questions from the very first phone call to the end of the inspection. They came out to the home we were purchasing on a Sunday with very little notice and left no stone unturned. Friendly, professional, and really top-notch service. I would highly recommend them to anyone. If you plan on attending a full inspection with them (well, septic, and full house/insects) all I can say is remember to pack a lunch - they are so thorough that the inspection takes about 3 hours, start to finish, for everything. I received the report this evening and my husband and I are awed at how thorough this inspection was. They included photos of all items, outlined the issues, explained how the inspection was conducted and why. My husband texted him a few times, to make sure he had the correct email address. When that didn't work, I texted him and then finally found an email for him and sent a sternly worded email to him. Finally I was able to get an answer back, and after a little bit longer had gotten the proposal. We had to send it to our landlords for approval, and once we had that we sent it back to John to get things moving. That was sometime around July I believe. I did understand that he was working on other projects, and tried to respect that. So I didn't overload him with messages or emails. But when sometime went by, and we hadn't heard anything. I sent I believe two more emails to him asking when we can finally get our stuff done as we did everything he had asked. And we have heard nothing from him, it is 11-20-25 today. I think I sent the last email in beginning of Oct. And nothing, nothing at all. He apparently I have figured decided not to help us, and just forgot to let us know. All I can figure is our project was too small, not as exciting I am sure as other projects he might get. If you need something done quick, and not too complicated don't bother with him. He doesn't communicate, and he doesn't bother to tell you when he has decided not to handle your project taking months out of your time in which you could have been reaching out to someone else to help you.
