This is a gas station owned by a local family. The Jax,n…read moreMix store it has improved while other Buddy's in the area have fallen apart and finally closed entirely. This store is successful in their main goal, making my visit to the fuel pump as can be expected. I have a keen interest in this store as do i all the local convenience stores. anything with a liquor license is now owned by Arabs. (pardon the stereotype but you'll have to prove me wrong.) the stores just doing gas and pop are falling apart the fuel consignment contracts are not that lucrative and stores are not selling retail to folks without jobs and the folks with jobs cant afford much more than there $4.25 per Gallon weekly fix. I am a Hanover local and I can tell you don't bother filling up with any pump other then pump # 4. The fourth or fifth time time i received a mid-grade unleaded shower from pump two i went in quite upset about the gasoline aftershave I would be wearing to work I was told that the pumps and the fuel belong to corregon oil and that they would fix it.. there fix was to set it for 1/3 speed so it took you 3 times as long to fill up and then experience your gasoline shoe-shine. Pump #3 by the way will click off about every 4 seconds no matter what. eventually they repaired this the exact same way. That's when I started connecting the dots HISTORY: Buddy's gas stations were owned by Pipeline Fuel Sales, there corporate office is across the street from the local office of Mercer mechanical contractor company and they were tasked with looking after the pumps and equipment. In 2000 or so Pipleline Fuel Sales sold all the Buddy's stores to there franchise owners or anyone who would take them off there hands. Most of these stores have not seen new pumps in 20 years and haven't seen the mercer repair guys in 10, If someone is looking after these pumps it is clear that they are on a budget. Over the past 5 years they have added a broasters chicken deli area, Staff are friendly and will take time to recognize you and chat. open 24x7, price is generally within $ 0.05 of Jackson and Jonesville, often cheaper. If you live in town get yourself a BP Visa and get 5% cash back on fuel, (that's $0.20 a gallon these days)
