I believe the review from the person saying Julie hung up on the request for a charity event. She did the same to me when I quoted a price that was too low for her. Just an extra minute of time to explain nicely wouldn't have hurt, and I probably would have agreed to her pricing if she had just broken it down for me. read more

From the start of our planning process, Julie was incredible. She made us feel heard, gave great suggestions and was always just a call, text or email away when we had any last minute questions. On the day of our wedding, she did a fantastic job making the everything ran smoothly. We truly could not have made it through the day without her. She's definitely a pro and takes the stress out of planning. Highly recommend. read more

I really love and I´m fan of Pryor Events! She threw a lavish wedding or us at the Beverly Wilshire on Rodeo Drive. She handled everything on point. She has an exquisite artistic taste for every detail with all the practical skills and knowledge of how to handle all wedding aspects, (and stressed out brides!!)..consistent and professional! She is a gifted wedding planner and deeply loves and enjoys what she does. I feel that must be what makes the big magic of her weddings. Pryor and her team work are just amazing!!! The only downside is that we had a ton of left over cake flowers, bottles of Don Perrion none was offered back to us. I had very high standards and spent about $10 grand on each hire (flowers, as one example) so yes it would have been nice to enjoy them for a few days, and I didn't drink or eat anything on the day of wedding and was shocked nothing was offered back to us so I was never able to enjoy) The wedding was magical! I don't have the photos yet but hopefully will be posting soon! read more

I called to ask Julie if she was interested in helping plan a special event to bring happiness and laughter to homeless children. She hung the phone in my face, I guess that was a NO but if she wasn't interested in helping then she could have expressed that like any rational adult would do. I think it was rude and unethical to hang up and then block my call when I tried to call back to inquire if that was intentional. When I realized the call was blocked, that was all the confirmation I need. Thank Julie, for being such a poised professional read more

Julie Pryor was a phenomenal planner for my daughter's wedding! She connected emotionally immediately with my daughter, my husband and myself at 'the interview' and we hired her on the spot. Her expertise, experience and creativity led us to the very best vendors making the planning process and the outcome simply perfect. I know Julie also plans all types of events from the very intimate to the ultra extravagant. Look no further if you want to be a relaxed host at your next party. My guests are still in awe saying my daughter's wedding was a truly spectacular event! read more

My mom and I are both party planners to the core, so many people were surprised that we hired a wedding planner, but Julie Pryor served as an irreplaceable part of our team. She did all of the legwork and research, ran infinite errands, made endless phone calls, and reviewed all the contracts. Basically, she protected us from all things annoying and tedious so we had time to sit back and do the fun stuff. Julie knows all the best vendors in town and made sure they always followed through on every detail. My flowers were even more beautiful than I dreamed and our guests had to be dragged off the dance floor at the end of the night because they couldn't get enough of our amazing band (both recommended highly by Julie). Most important was the fantastic role she took on the day of the wedding - nothing was left to chance, every detail was planned and anything even a millimeter below standard was rectified immediately. When people ask me about Julie, though, I always mention that when the lights were turned on at the end of the night and after the last guest had left, she asked us (the famished newlyweds) what else we needed. Before we even said anything, she knew immediately. Twenty minutes later, there was a knock on our door and two cheeseburgers, french fries and a single red rose was left outside our suite. There's no feeling in the world like finally getting to eat on your wedding night! If your getting married or planning an event and really want to enjoy it - don't do it without Julie Pryor! read more

Julie was our wedding planner for our Malibu wedding in May 2007. We actually started with a different wedding planner who did not work out for us and we hired Julie partway through our process. I wish we'd had Julie from the beginning. She was such a calming influence and had such great vendors. Her catering vendor is FANTASTIC. Everything turned out wonderfully and even a last minute glitch with the lighting was taken care of - Julie found someone to come in last minute and put in some lighting that was supposed to already be at the location. I highly, highly recommend Julie as an event planner. She made our day so memorable and people still talk about our wedding as being one of the best they have ever been to. Julie is very calm person, but gets the job done well. Very, very highly recommended!!! read more

I simple cannot rave enough about Julie Pryor. I knew right away I had to hire her--when I left her a first vm message (at 8pm), she called me back 5 minutes later. This came to be a running joke--Julie never let 10 minutes go by without emailing or calling back (even at crazy times--we once had a lengthy email exchange at 11pm). Julie seems to live her job--but as a bride, you only see the perfect results, not the endless hard work that goes into them (at risk of using metaphor on Yelp--I am reminded of water ballet). Because she took the stress out of wedding planning (by the time I thought to ask about something, it had already been taken care of), Julie Pryor made planning my wedding FUN. She is always calm, centered, and warmly supportive, and she made me feel like a princess (one example: I visited a photographer on my birthday, and Julie brought me gorgeous flowers. Who else would have thought of that??) On to the nuts and bolts. Julie's vendors are incredible, and her taste level is outstanding. The wedding itself surpassed my every expectation. I am not exaggerating when I say that many of my guests felt that my wedding set a new standard. And--without giving away any of Julie's secrets--she still had a few surprises in store for me when the last guest had gone home. Thank you Julie!!! read more

Even though I plan and manage large projects for a living, my fiancé insisted ... and so I hired Julie to plan my wedding in Brentwood. She met with me to really get a feel for who I am and what we wanted to create, and then she "simply delivered". Working with Julie is effortless! She's positive and nice, egoless and gracious; she knows the "best of the best" as well as who will fit into your budget. She has multiple choices for all the vendors, and lets you pick the ones you're most comfortable with. I know people who are still friends with her 15 years after their wedding and/or first party. She's always on time, meticulous with details, and you'll never know she's there "the day of". She worries about everything so that you don't have to! I cannot say enough good things about her level of caring, service and professionalism. She plans weddings and parties that you and your guests will enjoy and rave about for years to come! read more

As mother of the groom, I write this review to express my deep gratitude for the tremendous job Pryor Events did helping the bride, groom and their families enjoy a memorable wedding. From the moment we met Julie through to the Magical Wedding weekend, we were taken care of with great thought and concern. Julie's attention to detail resulted in a 3 day wedding celebration that went off without a hitch. She had a structured approach with all the aspects of planning, great follow through to make sure details were squared away, then total hands on for the weekend making sure everyone involved was comfortable and prepared. Julie is great at what she does, knows the wedding vendors very well and is truly committed to seeing that the bride gets the wedding of her dreams. It was a pleasure working with Julie. Her professionalism, commitment, experience and, especially, her care were evident throughout the process. I recommend her highly read more

I work very long hours and I'm not from Los Angeles, so I knew I needed some help to plan my wedding in Santa Monica. My husband and I searched far and wide in Los Angeles for a great wedding planner. Our expectations were far exceeded by Julie Pryor. She was- in a word- fantastic. She worked diligently to make our event very personal and unique. Her attention to detail is unparalleled. She came to every appointment with me, presented me with fantastic options (but not too many options), and guided my every decision. My husband and I were able to enjoy our wedding day without a single care in the world. Julie took care of everything! I can't say enough great things about her. Hiring Julie was the best decision we made for our wedding. read more

My husband and I got married in October 2008 in LA and Julie was our wedding coordinator. We only had several months to plan the wedding from beginning to end and Julie was exceptional. She was recommended by our reception site (The Riviera Country Club) as well as several vendors that I reached out to on my own before I had considered hiring a wedding coordinator. She was professional, attentive, caring and knowledgeable. She is great at what she does and I couldnt have asked for a better wedding coordinator. She made the whole process so much more enjoyable and was essential on the day of the wedding. She made sure that the whole day went smoothly, even when we were faced with last minute, unplanned changes that affected our schedule. I would recommend her to any bride or groom in search of a wedding planner. read more

Thanks to Julie Pryor at Pryor Events, I had a beautiful wedding that guests still talk about. I had an Indian wedding, was very impressed at how she and the vendors she connected me with were able to adapt and make the occasion reflect my Indian and American roots----it made the wedding a unique and fun experience for guests. She helped me to hire highly professional businesses that were dependable and did an excellent job, and who I would not have been able to find on my own. Weddings can be stressful but she made everything run smoothly and allowed me and my family to enjoy the occasion. Thanks Julie! read more

My daughter, who lives in DC decided she really wanted her wedding to be in the L.A. area where she grew up; therefore, I was left the responsibility of planning a long distance wedding. I could NOT have done it without the expertise and professionalism of Julie Pryor...AND have SO MUCH FUN in the process! My daughter and I were so amazed at her knowledge and calming influence from start to finish. We ALL got to relax, enjoy and savor that very special day. My daughter's wedding in Ojai was everything I had hoped it would be....and that was in GREAT part due to Julie Pryor. In addition to being a wonderful person, she is an extraordinary event planner. Everything, down to the smallest detail, was taken care of for me. Any phone call or email was returned almost immediately (even when she was in another state). When my daughter decided she wanted a destination wedding, Julie immediately had a list of places that would fit--and arranged meetings with all of them. Whatever "wish" my daugher had, Julie managed to fulfill! Nothing was left undone, and I could truly enjoy being a guest at my daughter's wedding since Julie and her amazing staff were there to make sure everything ran smoothly. I believe that there is no one better than Julie to arrange your event, make it fantastic, and keep it in your budget. Julie Pryor is a SUPERSTAR!!! read more

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW is all I can say about Julie Pryor and her over the top service and professionalism!!!! She planned our wedding at a private golf club in La Quinta, CA. There wasn't one thing she didn't think of or take care of for us. Everything was done in the most efficient way, although she was never nagging or over bearing when it came to getting things done or asking us for answers. Her recommendations for vendors were spot on, while always giving us a few options, depending on their costs. I was amazed she was planning anyone else's wedding b/c she gave us such over the top service - we felt like we were her only client. We got married 2 1/2 hours outside of LA and she was always available for any meetings, even last minute ones. When the weeks approached to the wedding, all our lists had been checked off and I didn't know I could be that relaxed. The day of was made perfect with her calm and organized way. There was NEVER a doubt in my mind that everything would go perfectly and it truly did. I wish I could give her 1000 stars. I HIGHLY recommend her and her company. I work in the event business so I was extra picky with everything and it could not have gone more perfectly. Thank you Julie! You were a DREAM to work with! I can't wait to throw another party worthy of a planner just so we can work with you again! read more
