This is one of the weirdest stores I've ever been. It's so funky and the owner is amazing.

They have a tailoring/alteration service, which is onsite and based on availability. They host different events in the store as well as other locations. Items can be pre-ordered online or purchased directly at the store. Would I return? probably.

Look no further. This was the second South Asian store I went to and holy smokes what a difference. I was worried I would be wearing western clothes to my friends wedding after that other place. But as soon as I walked into Mohini the proprietor came up, took my measurements, and pointed me in the right direction. She helped me find several outfits that were perfect. And what's more, she helped my insanely tall husband find stuff that would fit him! And to be clear this place isn't just for clueless westerners. There were South Asian folks there as well. They obviously know what they're doing here. Can't suggest this store enough. Had a wonderful experience.

A month ago, I stopped by the store for the first time and bought a very simple red sari that was unstitched and paid a hefty amount of $250 due to very high tailoring charges. The sales guy who helped me for over an hour told her on the phone while I was at the store that I'd be coming by to drop off the sari material and to have my measurements taken by her. He also gave me her info and the receipt that he told me to leave with her. That same evening (again, this was a month ago), I went directly to her house after buying my sari from her store. By the way, I do not live in Bethesda and was in the area just for a night. When I met Roohi, she wrote down my name, phone number and my measurements in her book. I was already nervous about the outcome of the sari but Roohi assured me that it will turn out beautiful. She even had extra material laying around in her basement (where she works) that she would use to make the sleeves of the blouse. I thought she would do a great job and believed in her. Anyways, two days ago (one week away from the wedding), I texted her just to remind her that I will be picking up my sari in a few days. She never responds to any of my texts in a timely manner and I always feel ignored. She's terrible at communication, which caused me to become very nervous at this point. She finally saw my text today and called me just to tell me that there is no sari and that she doesn't remember meeting me or ever seeing a red sari. I told her I came directly to her house one evening almost a month ago after buying my sari from the sales guy at her store. I informed her that she wrote my info (name, phone number and measurements) in her book with the promise date and even took a copy of the receipt from me (which she claims she doesn't have but I saw her pin it to my sari before leaving her house). I have a wedding to attend in exactly a week and don't have a reception outfit to wear now. I was nervous about the outcome from the beginning but after meeting her in person, I was looking forward to wearing this sari and trusted her (even though I asked her for an earlier pick up time since I live 1.5 hours away and would like to have enough time to prepare for any unforeseen circumstances but she instantly refused to get it ready a week early). If I had it my way, I would have had an extra week to plan for the upcoming wedding but now I have no time and I'm under a lot of stress. She said she would give me a full refund (which I have to drive 1.5 hours for all the way to Bethesda) and even said she has another red sari that she can get ready in only 4 days but I do not trust her. She needed a month to work on a simple sari, how will she do a good job in only 4 days? Please be careful doing business with Roohi. She overcharges and doesn't deliver. She doesn't remember her clients and is barely present at her own store. I'm confused as to how she's running this business and how this store is even open. I do not recommend and will not be buying from her store ever again. Please go elsewhere if you want to work with a professional who is organized and is a good communicator.

Although they are located in Annandale, they were able to come all the way up to Frederick, MD to set up a beautiful ceremony space, help out with getting dressed in traditional Korean attire, and provide instructions on how to conduct the ceremony. We visited the store a few months before our wedding and we were able to choose which traditional clothes that we would be wearing, and practiced how to bow during the ceremony. The owner can speak some English, but it may help to have someone who can speak Korean present. Like I said, she can come almost anywhere to help provide everything you need for the Pyebaek ceremony. She helps the bride and groom get ready by making sure the clothes are correct, and fixes the brides hair in a bun with accessories. She also helps with the bowing to make sure the bride doesn't fall, since the attire can be a bit heavy, and helps to pour the tea/soju that the couple gives to their family members. She is there with you every step of the way, so all you need to do is follow her lead and she will take great care of you. Everyone loved the Pyebaek ceremony of our wedding, and I'm sure your guests will love it if you choose Rose Bedding to help with the Pyebaek for you.

It is strongly encouraged to use a Korean-speaking friend/family member to go with you. We shopped around at another place but this place just seemed friendlier. They provided EVERYTHING - the clothes, tables, decorations, backdrop, tea, food, and are there during your ceremony to usher you through the customs. All you do is show up. They provided beautifully plated food requisite for the ceremony although you could also get the fake version as well. There are several women's and men's hanbok designs and accessory options to chose from. She will teach the couple how to bow gracefully in preparation for the ceremony. She will tie the bride's hair into a bun so that she can fit it with traditional accessories and finish her off with two bright pink circle stickers. The owner did a fantastic job and made the ceremony stress free. They also sell home good products straight from Korea - so it is a little pricey but is authentic and of quality.
