The Foundry restaurant 5 minutes away from the R.V. park, in Sundance. Excellent and beautiful!! Just what the doctor ordered.

The riverfront property was stunning! We had a deck over the river with trout fishing at our front door of our RV. We got in super late- about 1am and the host, Kevin came out to greet us and make sure we could see and get into our assigned spot. If you're a fan of Sundance film fest, and Robert Redford you'll want to stay here. The Sundance Resort (in Sundance) is 5 minutes away and is a stunning drive along the river's edge. It has three "amazing" restaurants to dine at. There is no wifi, although we have Starlink and it worked great. Had phone service even without it. If you're into nature and love simplicity, with classy places nearby to eat at, and explore, this is the place for you. Thank you Kevin for being so great during our stay. Can't wait to get back!

Looking down river.

The RV Park is along the Provo River. It is surrounded by snow capped peaks this spring. The RV sites are very close together but thst means there are plenty of sites for RVers and campers. The river sites are very nice but rather expensive = around $150 per site. All in all I think this is a beautiful location even it it is crowded. The campgrounds were all full so this was a good back up.

We Love camping and adventure. We are always looking for great camping spots. If your in Utah then Provo River Resort is a must stop. It's incredibly beautiful and they offer river front sites with a large deck overhanging the river. We had loads of fun fly fishing and playing in the river. our son is a pro at casting now . lol . Each site comes with a fire bowl, we made s'mores and plenty of new friends. The staff was very friendly. They have a mini store with many things to buy that you may of forgot to bring. They even offer cabins & TeePees. I mean seriously there's so much to do here, you can do a private fishing tour, Zip lining , Floating the river or just relaxing in the scenery, this was definitely a fun family adventure. I can't wait to come back.

Disgusting porta potty's

WARNING: Only reason this park is getting 1 star is because the scenery was somewhat decent 1. Owner (Anita) is rude and extremely disrespectful 2. Owner (older man) will walk on your lot and look in your trailer windows. No privacy 3. Manager is a liar 4. This "resort" will nickel and dime you 5. Only 2 porta potty's filled to the brim with feces 6. Only 2 showers that are filthy and smell like cigarettes 7. 90% of the park are full time residence that are loud and party all night After paying the additional $50 to "lock-in" our spot once we got there, we find out the manager told the current occupants they can stay additional nights even after lying to us and denying she ever said that. After waiting 4 hours for another site to open the manager finally admitted to us she did tell them that. Upon checkout we told the owner about our unpleasant experience when arriving and waiting for our spot to finally open, she was very defensive saying we are "blocked' from ever coming back! Do yourself a favor and find one of the other many, much nicer RV resorts in the area like we'll be doing in the future!

What an amazing experience. Not only is the campground fantastic, the cabins are super clean and the scenery is beyond amazing. We stayed in cabin 1 right on the Provo river. Fully equipped kitchen, plush shower towels, comfy, cozy bed, a hot tub right out my back door next to the river and fantastic scenery. Huge shoot out to the owner, Anita and her caring staff. I felt like I was at home with all the amazing people I met. They are my family now. They will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Don't forget to ask for Joe and Jeremy to take you fly fishing. They are the best. Run don't walk to get here. You can thank me later.

We had a fun evening at the Provo River Resort! So many friendly campers, the hosts are amazing, and the weather was incredible! Lots of people fly fishing, cute kids and animals walking around and we even got invited to hang out at Frankie's trailer, a guy celebrating his 50th birthday with his friends and family! This resort is beautiful! While there are some coveted spots that get booked quickly, it's easy to walk around and take in all the scenery. We will definitely return soon!

Fly fishing right outside the cabin

I stayed in cabin 1 at the provo River Resort this weekend. I cannot say enough good things about this place!! The cabin was spotless and equipped with everything we needed. The views right outside our door was breathtaking. The food truck serves the yummiest food and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this beautiful place!

We have lived in Utah for 3 years and we camp a lot. This place is so beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The spots are very roomful and quiet. Very peaceful. I recommend staying here over any park. Thanks Provo River for having such a lovely place to see the beautiful mountains and river

This is a beautiful resort, there are many sites where the river runs through the back and some have patios built out over the river. I was able to fit my 38 foot bus with no issue. Staff was very helpful and nice. They do have a small store, sell ice and fire wood. Driven by here some many times and never noticed it ( you can't see from the road). Such a beautiful hidden gem!

There's a big difference between RV parks and mobile home parks. RV parks typically cater to short…read moreterm vacationers or passers-through. Mobile home parks tend to lean toward the longer-term residential type environment. Mountain Shadows tries to marry the two, and it's awkward. When we first checked in Friday evening, the young lady at the front desk was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. We were so excited to have found a RP park in town-a little "staycation" if you will. We got set up and quickly noticed that many of our neighbors appeared to be in for the long haul. And not too long after our arrival, the police paid a visit to one of the neighbors. That was a little unnerving. Later that evening, my son and I wanted to borrow some DVDs from the office so we walked down. The friendly face from a few hours earlier was gone and replaced with an extremely unpleasant, angry woman. She did not look up from her phone when we walked in the door and tossed it aside angrily when we came to the counter to check out our movies. She made sure to let us know a number of times that she was having a bad day and that things could not get any worse. She kept losing track of where she put things-dropping stacks of paper on the floor, tossing her pen in a frustrated manner and eventually throwing her hands up in the air and exclaiming "I give up!" We were very uncomfortable and felt like we were a burden to her. The next day, my son and I returned the DVDs and stayed to play pool-the first young lady was back, so we didn't feel to fearful of hanging around. Only one pool cue could be found, so we passed it back and forth. While we were there, we observed many interactions with guests and staff (the nice young lady and another young guy were manning the office that day). They were both very pleasant. Based on the conversations I heard, my theory about longer term residents was confirmed. Most everyone was there to pay their "rent" and talked to each other as regulars, not vacationers. On the plus side, it was very quiet both nights we were there. I'd imagine, since this is most of these people's homes, they don't prefer to stay up late socializing or throwing parties. However, the overall feeling of the place is dismal. I felt like I was intruding on people's lives by coming in for a short weekend stay. If you're looking for a spot to stay while traveling through, this may be a place to consider, but be aware of what the park really is. If you're cool with that, then you'll be just fine.

Our RV is parked directly in front of the pet "potty" area and we didn't even bring pets, our RV is 5 feet from a resident RV, very uncomfortable. We didn't get to upgrade our RV spot or even get to select the RV site we wanted. There are 9 RV rental spots that are located in the residential area/monthly area, making our stay feel uncomfortable. On the positive there is a pool, there are washing machines, 2 showers and bathrooms that are open, super friendly/nice staff.

We (my husband, son and his family with 3 kids under 6) were in a middle campsite. Most of the river campsites were empty. We walked through one site tohere someone had their dog tied the river and allowed the kids to play in the River. The camp security came and told us they had someone checking in for this site at the office and we would need to leave. We were in the River playing in the shallow water. We immediately walked out. We went to the very small covered pathway for public river entrance. Let the kids play for about another hour. My husband and our dog sat at the entrance in his chair because we didn't all fit at the public entrance area. It is very small. As we arrived back at our campsite 3 sheriff cruisers pulled up to the owners site. The owners kept pointing at our site. The camp security guard told us that it was reported we hadn't vacated the camp site in a timely manner. I reminded him we followed him out of the site. He had told me I dropped my hat. He said oh yeah! My husband reminded him he had passed him several times as he sat on the side of the tunnel to the public entrance. Oh yeah! again. We also found ring door bell cameras and solar panel in the tree in our camp site. We asked about moving to a river site. So we had access to the River. They said it would be 200.00 more a night. No thank you. They told us that walking through other campsites is like walking through someone else's hotel room. OK but NO ONE was at the sites. I get that if they are occupied. Weird for a River resort that the only access was a small narrow path. Or one over a bridge (that at the time we were there, a dog was tied up to it that was on the bridge and barking at everyone trying to go over.) They were camping in the T-pee. I would NOT recommend this place. It was not worth the money they charge for the hassle you will have. We did stop by the office to let them know the trouble and that we were not happy. The owner called us on our way down the mountain, to inform us the cameras are not pointed at our site, that they would send us the pictures, and that we were lovely neighbors. It was just coincidental that the sherriffs came with the camp security guard that came over to tell us we hadn't left in a timely manner. That it is very common for parks to have cameras through out the parks. Ummm Not where we have camped.

I first heard about Knotty Pine RV Resort on social media-someone had posted about the beautiful…read morescenery and the plethora of activities to do, but what hooked me were the pictures of the tiny house (cottage) available to rent. I'm a sucker for tiny houses, in fact I dream to live in one someday, so I was looking forward to my stay here. We do a decent amount of "camping" in our trailer, but this weekend, it was the tiny house that called to me. I was absolutely shocked that I was able to reserve it last minute for Friday through Sunday. We arrived after the registration office was closed, but found our information in a box by the front door. The cottage was far better than the pictures on the resort's website-it has a main bedroom with a queen bed and four single beds up in the loft. There's also a small couch in the living area. You could fit six people in here easily. Note that the loft is only about five feet tall, so most people won't be able to stand upright. But it's a kid's paradise! The kitchen is stocked with basic dishes and utensils plus full oven, stove and refrigerator. The bathroom has simple shampoo/conditioner/soap. The quality is pretty low, so if you want nicer stuff, bring your own from home. There is a TV in the living area, but not in the bedroom or loft. There is a picnic table and fire pit outside, so you can get a taste of the camping experience while still enjoying the luxury of a "home." The campground itself is very pretty-lots of beautiful trees and a tranquil river that runs nearby. There is a clubhouse with pool table, arcade game and several seating areas to socialize. They have activities occasionally, mostly geared toward the littles. The layout of the campground is slightly disjointed, and the further toward the back you go, the less it's maintained. There were some spots that appeared to be storage areas rather than camping spots, but they were dispersed between the others. Since we did not pull our RV, I can't talk to how hard it was to navigate, but there are back-in as well as pull-through spots available. The pool and hot tub were always hopping-people seemed to enjoy those. They advertise having wi-fi, but it's terrible. Some people may not care about that, since you're going camping in the mountains. But if you're online reading reviews, I reckon you might want at least a little internet connectivity. It's there, but it's pretty slow. And the cellular data (I have T-Mobile) is nonexistent. It's a beautiful place, and once I get over my with drawl from being online, I'll find myself extremely relaxed and one with nature.
