The house itself or Hus as they call it from the original Scandinavian design of it, was super warm and inviting. It was incredibly clean throughout and our room was great sized and very comfortable. The bathroom was big and it had a great shower as well. I was curious about how they could possibly supply hot water to everyone as I think they have 4 or 5 guest suites and Doug showed me how they have two hot water tanks for the just the three rooms upstairs and more for the rooms downstairs. They really seemed to think everything through here. Lots of open space in the house and at no time did we feel like guests, we felt like we were staying with friends and that was very unique to me having never done this before. Let's see, they had snacks and beverages out at some points during the day or evening and I apologize, I cannot remember which. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING! We had everything, all of the foods were there. Eggs, sausage and apple rings, pastries, fruits, juices. Everything was fantastic! I do wish we had taken more time there as it was so nice. The bathroom was also nice and worked well for my week's stay. They have a nice restaurant, bar, pool, lobby, and lounge area. Everything was great. They were very busy with a huge conference but everything was great and if all Hyatt's were like this I would chose Hyatts regularly.

We stayed in a classic double queen room, which had plenty of space and a nice-sized bathroom. The room also included an Illy coffee maker. The refrigerator was on the small side, but we made it work. They also recognized my Ambassador status with a handwritten note and another sweet treat. Such a thoughtful touch! The beds were incredibly comfortable. The rooftop pool is beautiful. It's small, but definitely large enough to enjoy. My only suggestion would be to replace the cushions on the outdoor furniture, as they're showing some wear. The rooftop bar (21+ only) is absolutely breathtaking! The views are spectacular, and the cocktails perfectly complement the experience. We didn't have a chance to eat at the hotel this trip, but hopefully next time. We're already planning to come back in a few weeks!

On my trip I had a horrible episode and was sick but the not contagious kind. The hotel staff was so very incredibly supportive in what was a terrible feeling when so far from home. One of the front desk folks even called before their shift to check on me, see if I needed to go to urgent care or the hospital I had asked about earlier and brought up a delivery of some anti nausea items from uber. That's a quality and kindness that comes from the core of a person. It was so lovely and made a difference for me in a really difficult day. The housekeeping team too helped above and beyond. Foam pillows and feather are ok but not supportive. I had to use quite a few. The mobile key I could not get to work my entire stay on the door to my room. I've been able to use it before at other properties so not sure if it was the door, my phone or a tech issue. Mobile and physical key both worked in the elevator to get to my floor. TV and logging into Netflix worked great no issues. Some nights I could hear some music drifting not sure if from a restaurant or bar in the building or nearby. Finished up around 11pm or so. Wasn't bumping loud but I was aware of it. If you're ordering delivery or courier you need to go and pick it up in the lobby on the table to the left of the front desk. Around check in time each day the front desk has some treats out. There is a hyacinth basket for Bonvoy member checking out to drop their key cards into. Pool is fabulous. I used it most days. It is heated to between 90-95 Fahrenheit and made for a pleasant swim and floating time. The pool is 3 feet to 3 ft 7in deep. Deck upstairs is beautiful both the view and aesthetics of the furniture. AMENITIES Use the courtesy phone at top of the stairs to let them know you've arrived. Allow the porter to carry your luggage. You still have to get used to the altitude. Take it easy on your first day. Store your skis and poles in the basement locker room. You'll find the combination in your room on a slip of paper. Boot and glove dryer in your room. Free wi-fi. Free morning yoga classes. Free afternoon tea (plus juice & cookies). Occasional star watching events after dinner. Movies and other events in the TV lounge. Borrow a DVD to watch in your room, on your own laptop. (No TVs in the rooms.) Don't trust the time on the alarm clock in your room. We kept setting it to the correct time, and it kept getting changed to 15~20 minutes ahead. If you need a fluffy white robe, fill out the form on the desk in your room. You don't need to bring a towel from your room to the sauna / hot tubs - there are extra towels outside the locker rooms. The sauna is in the locker room itself. General store and gift shop. Hours are posted. The Cross Town Trolley runs until after dark but the rope tow up the last little hill to Alta Lodge closes at 5. Have the Alta Lodge number programmed into your cell phone. They are happy to pick you up and bring you back to the hotel. One day I was at the bootfitter (Alta Sports) 'til late and they came and got us. So nice! YOUR ROOM I was perfectly comfortable in our room, though there wasn't much floor space for our morning Pilates warmup. Yes, you can hear your neighbors partying in the next room but you're too tired from skiing to be kept awake by that. Snuggle into your soft bed and sleep hard! Aveda products are in the bathroom, in case you forgot to pack your own shampoo. The little packets of salt are for the room humidifier. Use it every night! LODGE RESTAURANT If you have any special dietary needs, tell your server. The people in the kitchen can modify recipes to suit you. Great breakfast buffet. You can also have eggs made to order. For dinner, it's like being at Grandma's house - you can ask for smaller portions, or even have seconds if you wish. Every night there are three entrees (one red meat, one seafood, one vegetarian). Save room for dessert, because they have a lot of great choices, and the portions aren't enormous. I often had the mixed berry compote just by itself. I notice a definite Asian fusion lilt to a lot of the recipes. Interesting.

The lighting, the air purifiers, the very heavenly beds, the fast wifi, and the attached kitchen in the other part of the suite stocked with every type of nutritious or delicious food imaginable for you to have for a meal or snack (health bars, coffee, tea, canned food, ready to prep meals, pasta, rice, canned veggies, etc) really do the icing on the cake for here. Plus though I have never have time to use it, they have a jacuzzi outside if you want. Lastly, the view of the valley and SLC below from the main kitchen is to die for. Perfect way to start your day by waking up and having coffee with Vincent or Ken and gazing out below.

This is considered "deeded interest" real estate. It's similar to joining a country club for golf. It is not a time share. I own a 4-bedroom & 2-bedroom unit. We have ski in/out access right at Silver Lake Village. There are approximately 190 owners that share 32 units (2, 3 & 4 Bedroom). Included in our quarterly dues are airport transportation as well as transportation in/around town during our stay. We have a support staff that operates the property like a hotel - daily room service as well as storage areas for all of our gear. There is no limit to how much time we can spend at the club. All members submit reservation requests a few months in advance. Once those requests are filled, we book additional time via a "space available" calendar. My family enjoys the club in both Winter & Summer seasons. One of the biggest benefits of the club is the tenure of the staff. The manager (Jeff) and assistant manager (John) have been at the club as long as I have. If you're planning a trip to Deer Valley, the club has an ongoing open house. You can access the club from via Silver Link ski run. Look to the right before you enter the Silver Lake area.
