I ended up moving half the shit myself as a pair they were going way too slow which cost me a lot more money. Well the one guy was pretty useless, and was complaining the whole time. The other guy was fantastic. If it was my city I would have just rented a U-Haul and bought friends beer and pizza for help. I think I paid $500 in the end...

NEVER USE THESE EVIL SCAM MOVERES. - Your move will cost…read moredouble what they quote - The truck will be too small so they can charge double fees - They don't tag or inventory anything, so expect to lose things and end up with other people's stuff - Zero communication with head office We booked 2 Burley Guys Moving for a move from Alberta to BC Sep 2022. The truck was very late, arriving at 8pm at night, and was much smaller than they said. It was too full to take all our stuff. They were therefore only able to take half our stuff. The driver was worried about being overweight for his insurance, so said he wouldn't stop at the scale. Our stuff was never weighed. The receipt shown had no location or date. It wasn't our fault the truck didn't have enough space. We were the last pick up and the other people had more stuff than they expected, plus they sent a smaller truck, but we were chargecharged twice for all the extra surcharge fees (fuel, ferry, hotel, etc). They couldn't get a second truck to us in time, so they charged us to pick up and transfer the second half of our stuff. They quoted $400 but charged us $800. Our belongings were then loaded onto another truck to travel to BC. This truck broke down, so the second half of our belongings were transferred a third time to yet another truck. No inventory was taken, nothing was tagged, in a truck with other people's stuff. We're missing two big bags of clothes (literally all of the clothes I owned, thousands of dollars worth) and we ended up with someone else's camping gear. Many pieces of furniture were damaged, including a large antique cabinet whose leg was broken off and badly repaired by them. It was left upside down in our storage locker due to the damage. Our 65" TV was falling out of the box they had packaged it in using one piece of tape. They told my senior mother who was helping us that they charged $400 extra because they didn't like her. In all, the move that was quoted for $3000-$4000 cost closer to $7000. We paid for their mistakes. Total scam. These guys need to be held accountable. DON"T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID.

Moved from a four storey apartment building to a two storey townhouse, from Victoria to Duncan BC…read more I have had nothing but bad experiences with movers. Until now. These guys were really great! The lady I spike work on the phone (Nadia) was very thorough with me on the phone and asked lots of questions while building a quote for me. None of the other companies I contacted for this move did that. I had a couple phone conversations with Ross, one of the owners, and he alai came to my place a couple days before the move to get a sense of what they were going to be doing. The crew of three (Kobe, Nick, Chris) showed up on time on moving day and were all very friendly and professional. Ross and the other owner Evan stopped by at one point during the loading to see how things were going. Top notch customer service across the board! The move on at our new place went smoothly as well and my wife and I had to do little more than direct where certain items were wanted. After all was said and done, the final price was right on par with the quote. I cannot recommend this company enough. I hope o don't have to move again for a long time, bit I will 100% be calling these guys again if the need arises!

Firstly, I would like to commend the three people who manged my move. They were very polite,…read morecourteous and efficient. Perhaps most importantly, none of my possessions were damaged as a result of this move - which is a very big plus. However, there are two significant factors which directly impacted the overall quality, cost and experience of this move. My sofa, a down-filled UpCountry couch that cost $3,500 when purchased 17 years ago (now costing roughy $5,000 new), and in excellent condition - did not fit in the elavator. In my 20+ years of moving, this had never happened to me. After spending roughly a half hour of trying to make it fit, the team leader provided three alternatives: 1: pay $100 and they would deliver it to a Salvation Army ("SallyAnn"), 2: try to move it up the stairs to the 4th floor (no one had a tape measure to determine if it would fit); or, 3: it turns out one of the movers was in need of a couch . Of course - I chose option 3, thankful that this unforseen debacle could actually benefit someone. The second important aspect that impacted this move was the significant difference between the quoted price and final charge: there was a $700 difference. I provided all measurements for every item to obtain a quote. The estimate was $1,700. The final charge was $2,400. I should mention that just over one year previous, I moved from Ladysmith to Victoria - with the exact same contents, and a professional mover, and that move cost $1,700, including a 1.5 hour drive from Ladysmith to Victoria (this particular move I am referring to now was a 40 minte drive). I'm not sure what to make of this, seems this company is getting favourable reviews around, but I can't help but think something was amiss in all this.

Destroyed my couch, busted the walls & refused compensation…read more I initially thought they would be a great company to move with as the booking was smooth and they assured me even with a detailed explanation of my home, their movers would be able to handle the furniture properly. Upon arrival, the movers spent over an hour trying to force the couch through the door- this was after I explained in detail how my friends and I (who are not movers) configured the couch through the doorway when we got it in. They ended up breaking the legs and the frame of my antique couch against the walls taking out chunks and leaving scrapes, and against my wishes, dismantled the couch. In the end, they couldn't get the couch out. Later, my friends and I easily got the couch out, the same way we got it in, without damaging anything. I have been in an ongoing battle with Joseph from the company trying to receive some sort of compensation. Joseph originally agreed to offer a replacement couch from their warehouse, or to place a value on my couch and find a replacement at ReStore. He has now backtracked on all offers, citing some company policy not originally stated when offering the other replacements. It has been OVER a year since the move, there hasn't been any resolution in regards to the broken couch, nor the damages to the walls. Truly the most disappointing and frustrating moving experience. I would not recommend them to anyone. Ouch My Back & You Move Me have been life savers.

They delivered a sofa and then we asked them to deliver our old sofa to another home. It was done quickly and efficiently.
