I still, to this day, text our project manager, David Allen for random questions or to ask for help that only he could assist with. He knows our home as well as we do (probably better than we do) and is always quick to pick up the phone or come to our house to help in any way he can. He assured us way back when we moved in, that just because the project is done, he is always a phone call or text away if we need him. I joked 3 years ago that he would regret saying such things, but it is so comforting that we can reach out at anytime. We've never been "just another client" with Starwood. Each employee we've worked with has been so accommodating. From first walking in to meet with Roger Lewis, to construction with David Allen, and post-construction with Mike Wolfe- they've all gone above and beyond over the years to make sure we are completely satisfied and taken care of. If we ever build again, it will absolutely be with the Starwood family. They make the entire building process fun, easy, and stress-free and truly care about their clients and their needs. I can't imagine going through the process without them.

I bought a Cresleigh spec home in Sonoran Mountain Ranch a year and a half ago. The lot and the…read morehome are beautiful. The problem is with the customer service of this company. The head builder, Tomas, told me when we first moved in that if we EVER had any issues to call him directly. He spoke of being incredibly proud of his work and would fix any issue that we had. With that said.... Our first summer here, the air conditioning went out twice in one month. Thank God it was under warranty but it took four trips for Chase Roberts to get it right. Fast forward a year. It's time for our one year inspection. The process was incredibly painful to set up because we live in North Peoria and the customer care rep, Luke Jones, would only set a four hour window in the middle of the day and only in the middle of the week. Well I work during the week but it didn't matter. He doesn't work weekends and certainly doesn't want to sit in traffic to get back to the East valley. I was not given a choice. It was a bad experience all around but the few issues we had were taken care of except the interior paint. The painter came to do the touch ups and not only used the wrong color paint, it had a terrible smell to it like it was very old. The painters came out twice and could never get it right. I decided to do it myself and took the paint codes from the " new home book" I was given by Cresleigh but alas, the paint codes were wrong. I could never get the correct ones from anyone working the company and 18 months later, the paint still doesn't match. I tried to call the painting contractor a few times but the phone number went straight to a fax machine. Next, the block wall I'm the back yard began to erode away from excessive moisture. The hiking trail that is directly behind the wall holds moisture after it rains and it seeps into the block causing deterioration. I called Cresleigh and was told the it was an issue for my home owners association. The association said it was the builders fault. Finally I tried to fix it myself but it happened again this year. Next, last week I noticed three cracks in the dining room ceiling in the dry wall. They all three span the seems. I sent pictures to Tomas, the builder, and asked him what could be done. Remember, he stands behind his work. Not so much. I got an email from Luke Jones today saying that his drywall contractors were to busy to even look at it and then he suggested I fix it myself. I know they don't want to help me because I stood my ground with the rep. Very immature and vindictive. Not surprising at all. I want all potential home buyers of Cresleigh to know what I have dealt with. I would NEVER buy another home from this company.

It had a small crawl space that was too small to access and I needed an answer quick. Lance was able to send a trades person over who specializes in getting into these tight spaces and has a vast knowledge of construction. We were able to determine that there was a foundation issue and received photos of the area underneath the home. The 2nd experience was that, again, I needed some quick assistance. It was an adobe home that had some substantial termite damage. Lance was able to provide a detailed estimate and explain to my client exactly what would be needed to remedy the issue and repair it and maintain the integrity of the adobe structure. Lance is very knowledgeable, has patience and really listened to my clients concerns. I will definitely be using AEH again in the future.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend AEH Construction based on my experience…read more I contracted with AEH for a bathroom shower project for $6,575 and paid a $3,287.50 deposit. Demolition began on June 3, 2026, and lasted approximately three hours. I terminated the project the following day because I was not comfortable continuing based on the condition of the project and my experience with the process. After termination, AEH advised that it was retaining $2,700 of my deposit and that I would receive a refund of $587.50. As of the date of this review, I have not received that refund. I attempted to resolve the matter and ultimately sought outside assistance, including filing a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and having an attorney send a formal demand letter. I understand that every customer's experience can be different. This review reflects only my own experience with AEH Construction. For a project of this size, I expected clearer communication, a smoother process, and a reasonable resolution once I decided not to proceed. Based on my experience, I would not hire AEH Construction again. I recommend that prospective customers carefully review the contract terms, payment/refund provisions, project timeline, and scope of work before paying a deposit.
