This is the absolute worst flooring contractor that I have ever worked with. They were initially…read morerecommended to us through our PM, but I have severe regrets of going with this company. They have been the sole cause of my basement project going off the rails. What was supposed to be a 6 week project that started in mid March and is still not complete, and now we are in the end of July. They are the reason this project is still not complete. They did reassure us that they prep, secure, and level the floor prior to putting the flooring material down, but that is not the case. Our floor is not level and sagging in places. They blame this on the material being laid on subfloor instead of concrete, which is preposterous. They have had to redo stairs multiple times and destroyed the surrounding paint when doing this. The steps are still not done well as they now bulge. There are gaps in the flooring as well, which are designed to click together for a waterproof seal. We paid an extra $900 to have the floors properly covered after installation and they haphazardly laid protection down without covering the floor completely and did not tape the seams. They improperly waterproofed the backing of the shower walls and fought us on it when we called them out. They never sealed the seams of the shower. Instead of fixing it, they offered a warranty. However, when asked to fix anything, I am met with extreme resistance and a fight, so it will be impossible to hold them to this warranty. They sloppily grouted the tiles in the shower as well. The shower alone set my project behind by over a month. They don't seem to understand that if they do things properly the first time, they can prevent rework. Having to come back constantly to fix things hurts their reputation and eats into their profits. This company doesn't care about customer satisfaction, nor do they care about workmanship and integrity. Hiring them will guarantee headaches and the need for additional oversight. They are not respectful of your time and your work commitments. I work from home and they were constantly disruptive due to needing my attention. Stay away from this company and hire a company that cares about their customers and the quality of their work. P.S. another update- they tack on extra costs at the very end to try to squeeze more money out of you. Totally dishonest business that should go out of business. Karma will come there way eventually.

They also have other types of flooring. We chose a plush carpet and some really good pad and Brett wrote up our order. He sent our phone number to an installer named Chris who was supposed to call us in a day or two to schedule coming out to measure. When I didn't hear from him for 4 days I called him. He said he couldn't get into his email and didn't know that he was supposed to call. But he did come out a few days later to measure and again a week later to measure the third room that was missed on his first visit (hubby's fault). Being that it was only 3 days before our scheduled install I was definitely nervous. Brett called us two days before install to say they didn't have enough of our chosen carpet and offered the options of choosing a different carpet, doing less area, or getting our full deposit back and not getting carpet. We opted for getting a different carpet so we made that drive up north once again. The morning of our install Chris called to say he couldn't make it but would send his brothers. We had spent days getting the rooms ready - taking out all the stuff in the closets (up to 3 feet off the floor), emptying shelves, and basically removing everything but the heavy furniture. So of course I said ok to having substitute installers. They turned out to be very good and got the job done in one day. So far everything looks great And they only missed one night stand when putting the furniture back. So Sloane's will continue to be our go to for new carpet.
