Ummm, wow. Had a small leak in my roof which, as any homeowner can tell you, is frightening. On the recommendation of more than one friend, I called Proven. Ryan stopped by the next day, quickly diagnosed the issue and scheduled a time for the repair to be completed. He also quoted a price which I thought was fair and scheduled a time for the work to be completed. His guys showed up on time and were able to complete the job in two visits. Work was done neatly, and they were nice as could be even standing on a sloped roof with a 45 degree angle. Hopefully I won't be needing them again anytime soon but if I do, I won't hesitate to reach back out and neither should you. These guys are pros. Kudos. read more

3.5 years after Proven replaced our roof and gutters I reached out to them needing more gutter downspouts. i wanted to redo how the downspouts entered the underground drain pipes and need longer downspout pieces. Jenn and Dave engaged in my project, worked to understand what I needed and then dropped off two 10ft downspouts free of charge. i would have paid if they asked but they didn't! 100% A+ thanks Jenn, thanks Dave and team!! read more

Our gutters were in need of repair as they were pulling off the side of our house from ice buildup. We called several contractors some of whom said we needed to replace the gutters. Ultimately, we decided to hire Proven Contracting. They were able to fix the issue without having to replace all the gutters saving us a lot of money. I just had Proven Contracting replace the roof on my home which was built 25 years ago. My wife and I were thrilled with the service we received for the project. Ryan came out and created an estimate including everything we discussed. Jen in the office was very helpful and communication was very easy including quick responses to questions and any other concerns. Tito came to my house a week or so before the start date and reviewed all the plans for the days of the roofing work. Junior showed up with the crew bright and early on the scheduled date. A crew of hard workers began the ripoff and replacement of new shingles. Prep work and clean up was done with detail and to my surprise they completed the job in 1 day. This was on a 3200 sq foot colonial with multiple peeks. Price was right and workmanship was great. Highly recommend Proven Contracting for your roofing project. read more

They were the best contracting service I have ever used. Stephen, the sales rep., came out and gave me a professional presentation which I was very impressed with as I'm a sales coach and I could pretty much tell if someone's not genuine. Stephen is genuine and very professional and gave me a written fair price estimate with all the offerings and prices specifically laid out. I had priced the job out to about 7 other contractors and some gave me estimates on the back of their business card and some other gave me written proposals, but hey didn't follow-up. Stephen followed up with roof colors, possible financing and invited me to visit to see other houses they were working on. I went to see a house about 15 minutes away. Met with a supervisor and watched the guys move like a "well oiled machine". very impressed. I was told everyone was "on the books" and had workers compensation. They called me the night before asked me if they could come the next day as they had a cancellation. They came and took about 3 hours to complete the job like the "well oiled machine" I witnessed before. Every hour, or so, I received a text from the supervisor with pictures of the progress along the way. They finished the job and I walked around and inspected my backyard; no plants or flowers injured, no nails to be seen and all the furniture placed neatly it their place. Stephen called the next day, or so, and checked in and they emailed me an invoice for the amount expected. Did I mention that no deposit was required at the singing of the contract. In my 20 years as a sales consultant, working with home owners and different contractors, I have never been witness to a more professional company. Great job and thank you. read more

Ryan Watson actually reached out to me via email to address my issue and he appears sincere about the mis-communication that might have taken place. My review/rating is based solely on the work that was done, which was done but left me with a mess to clean up. Gutters were clean, but then I had to clean up the walkways and surrounding areas afterwards. Based on recent communication with Ryan, it is good to know that this local business actually cares about the work that they do and are respectable and reputable. I look forward to possibly working with Proven Contracting again in the near future with better and improved follow up / results. As a local business, I prefer to see resources go back to the community and Proven Contracting is a local business in Livingston, NJ that is worth noting. Original Review for reference --- Proven Contracting of Livingston, NJ did the work without my consent to move forward with the work. I called them to get a quote and set up a date and then called them back to cancel since I found a more competitively priced place to do the gutter cleaning. I did ask them to measure my gutters to get a quote for screen covers to keep the leaves out. I never got the quote for the gutter covers. A couple of days later after I called to cancel the service but gave the go ahead to proceed with the measurement, I hear several people walking around the roof cleaning the leaves from my gutters. By the time I came out, they had already done most of the work. If I were to rate them for the work they did, I would say so-so (3 stars). They left leaves which was water jetted from the roof all over the front walkway and on my garage door! I had to clean it up after they were done. Of course, they sent a bill 2-3 months after the work was performed. Since they already did the work, even though it was done without my consent, I feel obligated to pay since there was service performed- I wouldn't even recommend even calling this place unless you want to chance getting work done on your property without your consent and getting a bill for it 2-3 months later. This contractor is on my avoid list and definitely one of my top stories when people ask me about my experience upon newly moving to NJ. read more

I am the Executive Director of a shelter in East Orange, NJ and we often find ourselves unable to afford many of the things that we need around here. I called these guys to come for an estimate for gutter repair and cleaning. Nice young man came, walked around and looked at everything and told me he would email me an estimate. A week later I called because I hadn't received anything and he said it had fallen through the cracks and he would get me the estimate by the end of the day. 6 days later I still have no estimate. Waste of my time and so frustrating to take time off work to meet him and now I have to call someone else and go through the whole thing again. Plus I delayed a roof cleaning until I could get gutters fixed. Grrrrr. read more
