I got my Mustang tinted here about a year and a half ago by Pro Tint before I moved out of state and it still looks as good as it did from the time I left. They put the tint on fast and I followed their instructions about not rolling them down for a couple of days so the tint wouldn't slip. The tint the guys here use is much higher quality than many of their other competitors. I really liked their 3M carbon film because it wasn't supposed to fade at all and I'm not disappointed at all with the results. I've known Jeff for a couple years now and I know that if you want to buy cheap tint then he has it but if you want quality tint that is what is going to last you a long time. It's all about getting what you pay for and since they've been open for over 20 years then I'd prefer to go to that store rather than a place that is made popular by teenagers not really knowing or caring what they are putting on their cars. On top of the tint Jeff's crew also put in an Alpine stereo system, speakers, amp and subwoofer for me as well and the thing still works flawlessly. It only took a couple hours to install everything so that was pretty awesome as well. To those idiots crying about lifetime warranties you really need to read the paperwork you are given. You know that it only covers LEGAL tint. Your front windows and windshield are not legal to tint in California therefore they are not warrantied. Only the back windows are considered legal. It seems only you people crying and pissed off are the people posting here. I know there are plenty of people who love the work done there however their postings keep getting filtered. If you really want to go to a place that cares about their customers and they don't just know you by being a number on a sheet of paper then go to Pro Tint. read more

I recently went to Pro Tint, after being denied warranty work on my Acura RSX by the owner, Peter, at California Tint. I allways knew about Pro Tint's excellent reputation as alot of my friends have been coming there for years, so I decided to give them a shot. When I arrived, it was a very busy place, but Jeff was very informative and patient and gave me great customer service. THANKS!!! He explained that in order to save my defroster, they would have to chemically steam off the film and it would take a little longer. Unlike other shops in the area, Pro Tint took the time and saved my defroster and used 3M film to preserve the reception of my radio. Cal ifornia Tint never explained that to me and cosequentially I lost my AM reception for 3 years. I never could figure out why the Am stations had static. After Pro Tint finished the job it looked perfect and magically I was able to recieve all the radio stations that I once had before. I was very surprised that some tints do affect the radio reception. Props to Jeff and his crew, they were very polite and professional and I will tell all my friends to come here. I plan on coming back to have an Alpine Navigation with blue tooth, when I can scrape up the funds. The price they gave me on that was the best I've gotten so far. read more

Been a long time lurker on here, but never thought to post any reviews until my friend asked me about where she should get her car tinted today. I told her NOT to go here. She asked "Why?" I told her why, then I realized, why not let the rest of the world know why? Mid-summer of 2008, when the temperature was hitting the triple digits, I decided to finally get my car tinted to make my drive a bit cooler. I came down to Pro-Tint, talked shades and tint types, and set a time to come back (they were PACKED with everyone wanting to hide from the sun). I had parked on the street so I walked outside. I didn't get in my car yet though, I hung out in the shade waiting for a call I was expecting. Apparently I was out of the view of the employees, because that's when I heard one of the workers make a comment about particularly visible disability I have. How professional... I took the high road and cancelled my appointment a few hours later without mentioning why. I instead went to California Tint down the street and they got what I needed done done. Good enough for me. I also just noticed, 3 5-star reviews, within 3 days, all from new users with only 1 review? Doesn't seem suspicious at all... read more

Well , here's a place that is knowledgeable of the product , also is one of the first places that Ive been to in regards to audio parts. that didn't try to push additional items, just cause. Jeff has been great when it comes to service , his team gets the job done and quality work is spot on, i took my mothers 300 to get tinted and Wow! it's great i was in and out, well not really i had gone to the HAT right across the street, read the local paper and eat a salami sandwich , once i was done , walked back across Rosemead blvd and shortly after my mothers car was ready. I prefer to take my car into the shop on my days off , so that i can relax and if anything needs to take longer then expected I'm covered, stress free. There aren't many feel good places you can go. That sale audio equipment that aren't trying to get you. or so it seems, you can expect quality and same day service here, of course depending on the request or job. i will recommend with full confidence that PRO-TINT in temple city. Can take care of your Audio / Electrical / Cosmetic / needs you might have for your car. read more

I recently had my Tesla Model Y fully tinted at ProTint, covering the front and side windows, front windshield, rear window, and sunroof. Originally, I planned to go with the 3M Crystalline tint, but I opted for the XPEL Prime XR Plus instead because the deal was too good to pass up. The team was able to squeeze me into their schedule, and I dropped my vehicle off around 1 PM--it was ready by 6 PM. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and I appreciated their transparency and excellent communication via Yelp messages. Their updates gave me a clear understanding of what to expect before I arrived, which made the whole experience seamless. The pricing was very fair, especially considering the perfect job they did. The tint looks flawless, and the attention to detail is unmatched. This wasn't my first visit to ProTint, and they continue to impress me with their quality work and customer service. I'll definitely return for future vehicles and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch tinting services. read more

I got an all around tint job here. This place had competitive prices & got me on the appointment list very fast. The service was also fast. I dropped off and picked up my vehicle fairly quick, same day. My only issue was that they left paper towels, cut up tint trash in my car, unhooked & tossed the car seat leaving it upside down and the buckles all twisted. I would've rather been told to remove it myself versus them manhandling my gear and the car seat the way they did- Despite that, it seems like decent quality tint & that's why I left 4 stars. UPDATE: I moved my rating to a 5 star rating bc I hate giving anything less to a small business. The owner called me and simply apologized for the minor mishap. It wasn't a big deal to begin with- Like I said, the gals at the front desk were great, quality was great, and they finished the job in a timely fashion. Sounds like one of their employees forgot to pick up, which is no big deal. Overall, a great small business with an owner who cares about service. read more

Great auto accessories shop. This is my 3rd car and tining here at Pro-Tint. The last tint was 3M tint CS(carbon color safe) in the rears, and crystaline in front windows. I followed the exact same formula this time. Jeff is very knowledgeable about all films and provided actual demo to show why 3M crystaline was better. A very detailed cost/benefits of different films helped me make very well informed decisions on the type of tint and how much I had to spend to make myself happy. The over all atmosphere at the shop is very friendly and customer oriented, unlike many shops where customers are simply not allowed. They are priced very competitive, and Jeff is very customer focused. That in my book makes all the difference in the world, when it comes to building a long term customer base in this retail sector, unlike your typical "fast buck" low cost, no after-sales service employed by many other local tint shops. read more

My name is Mikey and I brought my dodge charger into Pro Tint after checking Google for a tint shop in LA about 3 years ago. My service was great, the tint has lasted ever since and I've come back to Jeff and the guys for the past 3 years for audio work, bought a great woofer and Jeff even gave me an upgraded Amp for the same price as a lower level one. I've told MANY people about Pro Tint and continue to support them because of one reason...personality. A lot of times I go to different companies (big and small) because of their service, support and overall business sense. Pro Tint is one of the best I've seen out there. If you haven't gone in to talk to Jeff and the guys about your car's tint, audio system, alarms, etc...I suggest you go TODAY and see what I mean. GREAT PERSONALITIES, GREAT WORK, GREAT OVERALL EXPERIENCE. Trust me, you'll feel the same :) Mikey read more

TERRIFIC!! I just had to write a review. The guys at Pro Tint were TERRIFIC!! I was a little cautious since getting a tint job was not something I do often, but they were so nice and patient. Jeff was so wonderful; he took his time and explained everything to me and my parents. I really appreciated his patience and the respect he gave to me and my parents. They did a wonderful job. Jeff and Chris spent extra time showing me the functions of my new car stereo and I never seemed rushed. As a woman I felt very comfortable and impressed with their customer service and product knowledge. I will definitely recommend Pro Tint to my other girlfriends, friends and family. FYI, Pro Tint is the yellow building, so be sure you go into the correct driveway. The business next door does tint but at no way the same quality or customer service. Thank you so much Pro Tint :) read more

I have been a loyal patron of Jeff & Pro Tint through my Rally yellow Cobalt, 2 blk Jeep Rubicons, 1 grey, 1 red, 1 blue Jeep grand Cherokees and now my new baby a 2011 Chili Red Mini Cooper S. To call his shop a tint shop would be a major understatement! I've had everything from stereos, GPS's, amps, alarms, HID lights, interior LEDs, to Cold Air Intake Systems as well as smoking and tinting all the windows in everyone. Behind all the wonderful work is a highly professional staff, all of which have their own specialty. If it has wheels (street , off-road, 2, 4 or more) or floats ( great tunes for your boats ) Jeff and his staff can make your transportation into your dream ride ! I can't say enough about how well Jeff & Pro Tint has stood behind every they have done for me in the past 10 years.. KUDOS Pro Tint! read more

The owner, Jeff was really a cool guy and also have me a great deal when I shopped around everywhere for a 3m crystalline and color stable tint. He seemed very knowledgable and gave me a good setup for my car type. Along with the hookup, he did a good job tint overall, one of the windows wasn't cut exactly perfect but he made his guys redo it until I was satisfied. I'm pretty detailed and meticulous and his guys did a good job overall. It's only been a few days but I can feel the difference already in the car versus not having any quality tint before. If you need a knowledgeable tint guy with a good turnaround, Jeff is the man for all your tint needs. He also does accent wraps so I'm gonna return to do some headlight and rear light dark tint wrap later on.. read more

I had a great experience with this shop overall. They originally installed 3M Crystalline tint on my vehicle about 13 years ago, and recently I noticed an issue with haze developing on the front windows. They honored the warranty without any hassle and handled everything professionally from start to finish. Jeff was especially helpful and fair when it came to a small tint removal cost, which I really appreciated. What stood out most is that they still stood behind their work more than a decade later. The communication was clear, the service was smooth, and they made sure everything was taken care of properly. I'd definitely recommend this shop if you're looking for quality tint and a business that truly supports its customers long after installation. read more

I recently had my Tesla Model Y tinted by ProTint and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They took the time to explain the different tint options and helped me choose the perfect shade to match my car. The quality of the tint is outstanding! The windows have a sleek, uniform look, and the difference it's made in terms of reducing heat inside the car is incredible. Not to mention, the added privacy and enhanced aesthetic really complement the car's modern design. Overall, I highly recommend ProTint for anyone looking to tint their car. It's clear they take pride in their work, and the results speak for themselves. A+ service all around! read more

There's a reason I'm 38 and single. It's because I may be the most meticulous human being on the planet. And I'm also a scratchaphobe. So, when I took my Prius into Jeff at the recommendation of my auto body guys, I expected a lot! That meant covering my car almost entirely in 3M paint protection. Jeff is amazing...he knows how ridiculous I am and respects that, even getting in an out of the car carefully so as not to scratch anything. And his installer, Frankie, worked until 10:00 pm one night (with Jeff, the OWNER, staying also) carefully installing the 3M to about 75% of my car. I cannot say enough about these guys. I'm moving to Texas soon, but have nothing but love for Pro Tint, Jeff, and Frankie! read more

Well what can i say about PRO TINT. One of the best aftermarket accessories shops i have been to in a long time. Actually i have been going there for about 6 years now and haven't gone to another business sense then. Jeff the owner is an awesome guy and is very honest and has great prices. I know everyone there and everyone is very friendly and work hard to satisfy the customer. I have referred a bunch of people to him and they tell me they got a great price and were very courteous. I have never had one person tell me anything bad about him or his business or the employees. Thanks jeff for everything you do. Kevin Manning USMC read more

8/6/11 - Ask for Chris! I went to this tint shop and hats off to these guys! They did a good job on my 2005 Accord. I purchased a Solargard Ultra Performance (UP) 75% and I am very satisfied. Great customer service! Very informative on the products they sell. Have them show you a DEMO of the Solargard UP 75%. The product will speak for itself! Price - they can work with you on the price. I hope we have more shops like this with great customer service. They have a waiting room with WiFi while your car is being worked on! Ask for Chris, guys! =o) - I'm a happy customer! - Byron read more

Jeff is the consummate professional and a very likable guy. He possesses the knowledge necessary to make an informed decision. He then closes the deal with very competitive prices. I have been a customer for at least ten years with multiple cars brought over to Jeff for upgrades from tint to audio equipment and car alarms. Installation is very competent and warranty service impeccable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pro Tint to anyone looking for great service and upgrades to their vehicle. I will continue to patronize this establishment as long as Jeff Lynn is its owner. read more

I'm finally getting around to writing this much-deserved review for ProTint. I've taken my Tesla Model 3 there not once, but twice. The latest visit followed a windshield replacement, and just like the first time, ProTint's quality of work and speed were outstanding. Their attention to detail and efficiency are just a couple of the reasons I'll keep coming back. If you're in need of top-notch tint service, ProTint is the place to go. Highly recommend for any car enthusiast who values quality and quick service! read more

Pro-tint did a great job on my 1987 Toyota Supra. The car had been stored for many years and had a very old baken on purple tint that was bubbling and peeling. Claudia took excellent care of the car and managed to remove all of the old tint - a painstaking and time consuming job that took twice as long as they estimated - but Claudia stuck to the original price. Then they restored the windows with a new 3M tint that looks great! I highly recommend Pro-tint for qualtiy work and reasonable prices. read more
