I watched from the bathroom doorway, and he explained his procedures. He had to snake the drain too. But he showed me why and did not proceed until he had quoted me the cost and got my ok. No surprises with this man. He had the drain snaked, wax ring replaced, and the bolts for the toilet replaced and tight. The toilet no longer feels like you're on a carnival ride. He made sure to check everything to make sure the job was done. He was efficient, quick, and cleaned up after himself. He didn't wear a cape but he was a super hero and saved my day. The owner Chad answered the call and was very patient listening to my explanation of the problem. He clearly knew what was needed and we scheduled a day and time. The day before our scheduled appointment I asked Chad if he would be able to replace my garbage disposal, no problem. I took a picture of the existing disposal and sent it to Chad. Chad arrived on time and I appreciated his assessment and on what would be done. He installed the pressure regulator with copper piping and recommended if I would like to have a water outlet installed. Great location Great idea! Chad also replaced an old hose bibb valve that was stuck to the hose. The garbage disposal installation went well and his assistant showed me where the reset on button is located as well as what to do if the blades are jammed. The job was to install a door from our laundry room to the outside. My 78 year old partner had tried to install it himself after waiting 3 weeks for a Home Depot installer to contact him. When the original door was removed, it was clear to see that the opening had been modified. The original door was not the correct size for the opening. We had already bought a door from the original door measurements. Knowing that we would not be able to do it ourselves, I contacted Kama'aina Handyman. They did an excellent job and built a new frame for the doorway. They also replaced some cinder blocks that had broken with wood framing to make sure the door was straight and plumb. They essentially did an over haul of our plumbing (just didn't do the parts that would require a tear up of my house which I appreciate). So far everything works great and they were great about explaining everything that was happening. Stuart also fixed a leaking shower only to find out the people that originally installed it were missing pieces and they set our new toilet. He also did a few other random add ons by us which we're thankful for. Best of all we have a toddler that absolutely adored them and they were great with him. Our son can be annoying and in your face and they never seemed to get upset or annoyed and just rolled with it which I truly appreciated. Truthfully our son was sad when the work was done and they no longer came around. We highly recommend you check them out!
