Fast forward to today, last week I set up an appt as a referral from my PCP and sent a message then explaining I had been rediagnosed with MS and I needed a Dr to keep me on Tysabri could I pls switch to a video visit since I was a prior patient and are there any records that are needed. I also provided a letter from my current Dr with my diagnosis and all their information. TODAY I called in just to see if I could be switched to a video visit and after 20 minutes was sent to some Sonja person who launched into the messages from a year ago on and on about them and I was like right that was a year ago and yes I'm still unhappy with being told that MS pain is because I'm fat wouldn't you be? Sonja couldn't really let it go and relied on patient blaming and being patronizing explaining to me how Dr's work and that the Dr thought it might not be a good fit. I was like okay well my appt is in 2 days you couldn't have let me know this a week ago when I sent the message? Apparently no, even though Tysabri has to be prescribed every 4 weeks so I was already cutting it close. She continued to patient blame and I asked to speak to her supervisor in which she informed me she was the office manager and she would have a director call me, I won't hold my breath. I cancelled my appt it definitely isn't a good fit to fat shame and patient blame. TLDR : they don't care, they don't read their messages and they do not respond in a timely manner so you can get the CARE you need and deserve.

Instead of Ms. Cline having a conversation with me to help me better understand, she stated that she couldn't talk to me until or unless I signed her malpractice documents. FISHY! I've NEVER encountered a healthcare professional like this in my life. I guess the entire lobby filled with supplements and the printed sign by check in stating "due to so many cancellations, you will now be charged for missed appointments". Good luck with charging me. We see Anthony or Amy every time, so they truly know us, and our entire family's history. They are top notch doctors who take time to listen and are very thorough. We used to wait days for an appointment, never see the same doctor, repeat our history and feel rushed. Usually just deferring to Urgent Care. The environment they've created is warm, welcoming, and personal. Our kids actually enjoy going to the doctor, feel comfortable, and know they are seen, heard, and cared for. Sometimes you don't realize how special something is until you experience the difference. We are incredibly thankful we made the switch and found providers we can truly count on and trust.

I noticed many complaints of timeliness giving this practice a lower score but realize that when her patients are on time, she can give them her full attention for the full alotted time. This also allows her to stay on time for her next patient which is so respectful. I love that she stays on schedule and if you know you tend to run late, put an earlier time on your calendar so you are respectful of everyones time. It is standard practice to charge late fees, no show fees, cancellation fees etc. How else can you run an efficient clinic? I think this place is fantastic and I was appalled to see so many complaints...yet after reading them, they were all from people who can't show up on time or pay a bill...that is not a Karibu problem. In my opinion, this clinic is top notch!

They assessed the information I provided and recommended I check out urgent care at Regent and that they could get me in within the hour. I headed over to the urgent care, they took my information and got started with the review of my vitals etc. They noted that I was very dehydrated and sugar was very high. I was given 4 bags of fluids and a shot for my queasiness. Wendy and Michelle were so AWESOME!! They treated me like I was their only patient. They were genuinely concerned. Very personable, informative and knowledgeable. They were concerned as to why my previous physician had prescribed a total of 3 medications which caused more issues than solving. Needless to say, at that point I asked if I could switch to their office for my Primary Care. Once all was completed with me, they got me the form to complete to change my primary to them. I'm all about recognition where it's due. It is definitely due here. They are the real thing. Their office is very unassuming at the end of a strip mall but the service is top notch!! My experiences elsewhere were full of expectations that devices would be implanted as I was handed brochures to read up about them so that when the sales pitch came, I was somewhat knowledgeable about what they had planned for my treatment. Although I had been diagnosed with Neuropathy, I wasn't diabetic. They only assumed how they would treat my pain without an exam and just using the BUZZWORDS, my cure was in the brochure (which included surgery, physical therapy and THOUSANDS of dollars). I understand that they have questions they need to ask as per their job and state/federal regulations on pain managment, however, Dr. Glenn sounded VERY accusatory from the git go. And i get it to some degree, I CHOSE to be on a medication that's typically given to people struggling with dependency/addiction, but id hope a doctor would be able to set their preconceived notions aside to effectively and correctly do their job and thats not why im on this particular med, im on it cuz It works better than traditional opiods and my prior pain managment doctor boasted about how its safer and id agree. But from the moment he saw my charts, things were off. I didn't realize right away that he didn't have ALL of my records, so when I was begrudgingly asked if I used recreational drugs, I said no, thinking that my open Marijuana usage was listed and he could see it, Dr. Glenn clapped back with "you've never done recreational drugs" (as if I was lying) I responded with "I mean as an adult, no. As a teen yeah, what teen doesn't" and Dr. Glenn asks what i tried as a teen (my last teen year was 13 years ago mind you) I gave him the information he was asking for. We move on to him asking if I'd ever received surgery for the things im complaining of, answer was no. Then I get told "well if I had been told I have significant narrowing of the hip space joints, I'd have gone and got surgery" i interrupted at that point and said "today's march 11th, I wasn't told about the hip space issues until february 25th... there hasn't been enough time to figure things out". Which i would assume, if he had access to that specific record, he likely had access to see when imagining was actually taken, but maybe im wrong. He asks me to take UA as normal for pain management and told me he wasn't gonna have me sign a pain managment contract "in case things didn't work out"... fast forward to march 25th, my next appointment with him (he wanted to see me when I was supposed to have a refill of meds) I drive the hour from my house to the facility (which Dr. Glenn was made aware in march 11th appointment that I lived an hour away) once i make it inside im told that they cant complete the appointment because they dont have my records. To which they send another request and ask me to reach out to my pcp, which I do before leaving the parking lot on the 25th. 26th I hear from my PCP that records were already sent, 27th I call az pain treatment to set up a new appointment, while on the phone with the receptionist, i explain that the doctor canceled my 3/25 appointment because he "didnt have all my records", to which the receptionist informs me "i must have misunderstood because they have all my records from what she can tell", i explained thats verbatim what the lady at the front desk said, my husband was standing right there when it was said, definitely not a misunderstanding" and she said "hmm thats weird, you chdck all our boxes for setting up an appointment so we will go ahead and set one up for you". The appointment was set for March 31st. The 31st rolls around and I at least got a phone call this time, telling me not to drive the hour away, because "Dr. Glenn thinks you're not fit for our practice, and that you need to go to orthopedic surgery" Being that my pcm used to be a pain managment doctor, they found that odd as they were trained to avoid surgery unless absolutely necessary, especially for someone in my age group. That being said, I feel more so that this doctor thought I had other issues, and wrote me off from the git go and if that's not the case, then his bedside manner is seriously lacking. Even if I had a drug dependency/addiction issue, being accusatory isn't actually helpful. But aside from that, ive been in therapy over 10 years and continue to go because of the addiction that runs heavily in my family, I wanted to make sure to never be like my parents and ive done a really good job at that, and I'll be damned if I get accused of anything im not doing let alone something ive actively worked towards avoiding my entire existence. Needless to say, im thankful it didn't work out and that I didn't sign a pain managment contract with Dr. Glenn. I do wish I had been given the opportunity to see Dr. Nasser, I hear he's nice and who I thought I was seeing until I spoke with my PCP again today. This review was left on Google with some parts missing because Google only allows so many characters.

Dr. Modesta is a fantastic doctor. She's old School- uses…read moreher own mind, follows the clinical evidence, and actually listens to her patients. Her office may have extended wait times, but it is because she spends quality time with each patient. It is hard to find an MD these days who will actually listen to you, and act on the information. Modesta has no problem doing this, and uses her experience and knowledge to treat and address issues, not just pre- populated power plans. I trust her and will always see her for my internal medicine needs. I am a fan of real life medicine applied using the physicians knowledge and experience.
