About a year ago I was given some very difficult news from my doctor, I would likely never conceive…read moreagain. I was devastated, my husband and I planned on having a second child and were shocked to hear this may be impossible. I was told that IVF was not even an option. The doctor informed me that my hormone levels were off balance and my body was not fertile and would likely never be again. I was only 36 years old and told I was going into early menopause. I missed my last appointment to go on vacation and planned on coming back when I got back. Luckily, I never needed to make another fertility appointment...I was pregnant! 9 months later I was approaching my due date and worried I would have to be induced. This review documents my experience with a manager who did not take responsibility for employee errors and outright refused to honor my sessions. As of the writing of this complaint, I have 9 sessions 'accrued' at the Franchise. The manager is refusing to refund me after not honoring the bookings I made for them. See attached photos. Instead, he insisted I trade the value I paid $39/session into 'ad-hoc' sessions and cancel my plan. I was being considered for an out of state job where there is no Modern Acupuncture location, so I didn't want to keep 'adding' to the account total which I why I booked all of the sessions I had remaining. I explained if I didn't end up moving out of state, I would happily buy more and asked to pause billing on 11/17 which is also when I did the scheduling for my sessions. I noticed my credit card was billed $159 on 11/19 AFTER I had gone into the business and specifically asked not to be charged given the fact I had enough sessions already especially if I had to relocate. The manager said they would NOT be honoring the bookings since his employee made a mistake. (Ever heard of customer service?) Instead, he wanted to cancel my plan and leverage all the session funds I had on file totaling over $300 and convert them into HIGHER PRICED sessions. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT. I want a refund instead. He refused. I won't be strongarmed into this kind of unethical situation where my value as a customer is completely disregarded and disrespected. As a result I've had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General Office. While the staff are wonderful aside from the Manager, I was made to feel completely disrespected and that my only value as a customer was money, money, money not loyalty. I'm glad at least I can share my experience to protect others from the same treatment.

But I was even more satisfied as he is a GREAT acupuncturist. His technique was gentle and effective. So if you are SCARED of needles I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Lee as he was quick and I couldn't feel 95% of the needles going in which helped me relax. I came to see Dr. Lee to get acupuncture to relieve my headache pain along my right neck, left shoulder scapular, and lower right back pain. He was able to immediately relive my pain and my body felt lighter and I was able to move better after treatment. I met Dr. Kasian on a Saturday afternoon having left him a desperate message that morning inquiring…read moreabout his ability to see me. I had strained my back during a workout the day prior and woke up barely able to move. I took a muscle relaxer as well as a painkiller left over from a previous back episode to get through the morning as I had to teach an in-person class. He very kindly extended his workday so he could treat me after my class was over. He was very kind and thorough in his examination and identified the source of my pain and immobility pretty quickly. After my treatment which included some massage, acupuncture and manipulation I was able to move much more freely and was nearly completely pain free. He sent me home with some information and stretches to further improve my condition. I went back for a second visit to further treat my back and with a little time left at the end of the session we decided to address some issues I had been having with my knees for years. He did some manipulation and acupressure as well as a little stretching on the worst knee as we didn't have time for both. It felt better as I left and over the next several days, the difference in the treated knee vs the untreated knee was very apparent. I will be scheduling my follow up to address the issues in my untreated knee soon.

Dr. Kasian is a healer, full stop. Fast-forward 7 years and I am now living in CA. My mother, who lives in AZ, recently injured her back. I called Dr. Kasian to see if he would take her insurance. He actually answered the phone! We chatted for a bit and upon hearing that my mother lived over 40 miles from his practice, he offered to research other chiropractors who use acupuncture closer to her home. He called me back less than an hour later and gave me the name and contact info of someone reputable within 8 miles of her house. I mean, wow! I'm left stunned by this act, but let it speak to his character. Sincerest of thanks, Dr. Kasian.
