We had a great time seeing Bert Kreischer here. Staff are quick to help and the facilities are well maintained.

The area is filled with restaurants, pubs, coffee houses and is a couple minutes walk to the lakefront. The hotel itself has a colourful history and great B&W photo's throughout the hotels public spaces to fill you in. They did a wonderful job of allowing us to kinda check in early and then called us when our room was ready. The rooms were nicely appointed in our double Queen with a good amount of room. The bathroom is a little snug, given the door brushes the front of the toilet. The bathroom is a one person at a time deal unless you're fine with close proximity bathroom habits. The bed was comfy, which is always a big thing for us. The breakfast covers all the bases, and although not memorable, offers a good variety to satisfy most seekers of the most important meal of the day. Location, comfort, nostalgia, parking, walk ability and you have us interested. Add great staff and you have a gem overlooked. Don't tell anyone though please.

As for the hotel itself, it was clean, our room was spacious, and we never waited for an elevator. Regarding staff, I forgot clothes in a drawer in the room. Sierra was more than accomodating by holding the lost items in their lost&found and doing the extra work to parcel them up and send them to me. That should tell you all you need to know about the good people running the hotel.

The room was spotlessly clean and had a nice seating area with a couch. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room during our stay. The staff at Hyatt are truly exceptional. Every time we were in the lobby we were cheerfully greeted and asked how we were. We had happy hour the first day we were there and the gentleman that served us was delightful. I didn't get his name but he is semi-retired. He used to work at the Eldorado Resort. When I mentioned that my white wine wasn't cold enough he put the glass of wine in the freezer to chill for me. There is a charge for parking and breakfast but the staff were kind enough to remove these charges when we mentioned that we had a problem with the air conditioning in our room and could not get a comfortable temperature. They thanked us for bringing it to their attention and said that they would look at a promptly. My husband used the hot tub and really enjoyed it. The hotel is well located just off the highway. Traffic noise is not a problem and there is easy access to shops and restaurants. We would absolutely stay at Hyatt Place again. They treated us very well and it is a lovely place to stay with amazing staff.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, to include a follow-up call to our room once we were settled. We had a pickup so they allowed us to park in the oversized parking up front which was nice as well. The room was comfy, clean, and we got a good night sleep. Breakfast was very good and included as well. We did not get a chance to try the pool or fitness center here.

We recently dined here for the Sunday brunch buffet. Excellent! We have been to The Vintage Room…read morein the past for brunch many times and were sad to see the quality slowly decline to the point where we quit going. But, not having been a couple years now, we decided to give it a try and we were very pleased we did. It's just wrong, I'm sure, but the first place I headed directly to was the desserts and was pleased to see the cutest little pastries ever. They had these little bite size tarts and little mini long-johns that were so small yet they managed to some how stuff them with a Bavarian whipped cream. There were little diamond shaped bites of a layered chocolate cake that was so delicious! I could describe more but I'll move on to the main course. But I do want to mention that little small bites of good pastries is definitely the way to go. I never eat a whole piece of cheesecake or any dessert, for that matter, anymore. Everything on the buffet was very flavorful and what I noticed was that everything had it's own taste. I've been to buffets and it seemed as though everything had similar ingredients. Not so here. They had the best cabbage rolls I've had in a long time, as well as surprisingly good perogies. My husband totally enjoyed his spinach and mushroom omelet prepared at the omelet station. There was also a very tasty chicken dish and it didn't taste like the chicken had been precooked. The staff - very nice and professional. We look forward to returning again soon.
