A mix of Asian and western take on foods. The flavours were innovative and creative! Exactly what a foodie would look for- and did I mention the presentation?! Brock Bowes is a competitor for Top Chef Canada, and have worked in kitchens around the world, including Michelin-starred restaurants. Brock has already been on Chef Canada and even donated his winnings to charity! He is so passionate in what he does and I am always excited to meet people working in their element! For the food: they have rotating menus to keep things exciting! They have big boards (limited supply and it changes too!) that you need to order at least 48 hours notice - make sure to call in or fill out the contact form! Courtney and Brock made this a special memory to remember forever as they put a little bit of everything for us! Tenderloin, ribs, chicken, sausage, cornbread, with fresh veggies. Lots of ingredients sourced and grown locally! We had two big boards, and filled ourselves up! Oh and btw the chicken gravy is EXQUISITE, lather it on everything! This place was very nicely designed and looks nice inside and out. It is always clean and well kept. I love the Vegetable samosas, Coconut curry lentil soup and Aloo Gobi. To make these dishes vegan just ask for no butter on the naan. The only things are I wish they had brown basmati rice and whole wheat naan. Can't wait to try the Vegetable and Channa masalas. My fiancé loves the Hillcrest breakfast special, samosas and their Egg salad sandwich, my cousin really likes their Sunny tuna melt. My dad from Vancouver LOVED their samosas so much that he wanted to order 10 to take back home. He said the Hillcrest samosas were better than the samosas he's had at many different places in Surrey and Vancouver. At a time when couples are being subjected to excruciating prices, Guisachan is the standout exception. It is truly a one stop shop too.
