While I was on vacation from NY visiting family in Prosper, TX and was in desperate need of change before my flight on Saturday. Typically my hair is usually in a ponytail and always frizzy. I came across Prosper Hair Salon. I called made an appointment for Friday at noon and explained my situation, so they were able to accommodate me. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the receptionist and the owner and I kindly seated me and she looked at my hair asked a couple of questions and let her work her magic. Within a couple of hours I was totally transformed. Omg my highlights look amazing and they got rid of the frizz in no time! It was the color and look I always wanted. Upon returning to seeing my husband and kids they all loved my new look! I can't keep this salon a secret. I normally don't write reviews but I had to, and hopefully turn on the locals to this place. Believe me the service and stylist are top notch and the salon is beautiful and hip without being pretentious. I'm definitely looking forward to coming to Prosper Hair Salon on my next family visit. Incredible experience, such a wonderful place! Our lives have been changed and we will be customer for life!! Terry Mascolo is an exceptional stylist with the most creative eye and talented hand, she literally made me into a new woman! Even my husband said he felt like he just married someone else! She was quite possibly the kindest and funniest person I've met and worked with. Phenomenal job! I'd recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing haircut and above expectations experience! Victoria took care of my daughters hair and it looks spectacular! ***UPDATE*** I went elsewhere to get my hair lighter because they were so booked. Worst mistake! China saved my hair. I literally sat there and cried happy tears when she was done. Not only is she the best at what she does but she's so humble and precious. I can't sing her praises enough! I just moved here a month ago and found this place on YELP. So Good! Amanda waxed my eyebrows and had me laughing the whole time!! Amazing personality! She actually showed me how they were supposed to be shaped and has them on the road to recovery. Everyone here was amazingly nice. Michelle did highlights all throughout my hair and at the beginning my hair wasn't grabbing the color like it should have (that was my own fault, I failed to mention that I had box hair dye still in my hair since September) but thankfully Michelle acted quickly and was able to save it! Now, I am in LOVE with how it came out, Michelle did an amazing job. Also, I took the risk and cut my hair short! I was hesitant at first but the way Michelle, and Gabby, styled it I love it so much and happy I went through with it! We recently moved to Prosper and finding a stylist for my mother was a #1 priority. To say she is picky about her hair is an understatement. On her first visit, she was delighted with Alicia! Loved the style. Thursdays are definitely her favorite day of the week. I went here yesterday to get heavy blonde highlights and a trim. They could not have possibly done a better job. Michelle gave me the highlights. I have extremely thick hair but she still took the tiniest of sections and was extremely thorough. The highlights look so natural you could never tell that I walked in with brown hair. Alicia cut my hair and gave me beautiful layers. Callie blow-dried my hair and curled it even though she did not have to. Everyone was so sweet and fun to talk to, and I will definitely be back when I need a touch-up. read more

I recently moved to Prosper from out of state and needed to find a new hair stylist. Victoria at Prosper Hair did an amazing job on my hair. I needed a good highlight and matching the blonde color in my hair has been a challenge. She did such a great job with my color. It is one of the best colors I have had. She also took the time to listen to my needs and wants when cutting my hair. I was nervous to cut some of it because I had had bad cut at my prior salon, but Victoria cut it just right. Best hair salon around! Michelle is always so helpful and very knowledgeable. I fried my hair at the beginning of the year and she knew just how to fix it and make it look absolutely amazing! I moved to the area a few months ago from out of state and have found my go to hair salon! I came in to get my blonde lightened up and toned down to a cooler blonde and China gave me exactly what I ask for! My hair came out super healthy, beautiful and shiny - I'm absolutely in love with the results. I came in for a perm, and it didn't turn out the way I wanted. I let them know, and they had me back the very next day free of charge. Alicia spent nearly 4 hours on my hair, making sure I was happy and comfortable even when we had to stay past business hours. She was incredibly kind and helpful, and I couldn't have asked for a more patient and sweet hairdresser. I would recommend her ten times over, and will be returning when I need a haircut! read more

I went here for the first time yesterday. Amy cut my hair and my 11yo daughter's hair. She did an amazing job on both. Most people rush through my daughter's cut because it's just a basic trim. Amy took the time to talk to her about hair care and how to style it. My hair cut was much more intensive. I felt like she really understood what I was going for and was able to make it happen. I went in for Color, Highlights and Cut with Michael a few weeks ago, he was more than accommodating. I have very thick coarse hair that is not easy to work with.
